niche enough to play coachella right? hardcore isnt as niche as you might think. sure more niche than all those brainrot pop songs but not as niche as you think
Yooo I love this band, and love hardcore in general. Tbh the more you listen to heavy music the more you're able to decipher the lyrics that they scream. Glad you gave it a chance man. If you haven't already check out Jesus Piece from Philly, they rip
I did vocals in a heavy cover band and still do vocals as a hobby. Learning techniques of how to enunciate words while doing screams makes vocals in songs even more clear to the ear. Other great bands to peep: Kublai Khan Varials Mugshot Degrader Mouth Breather
Just found your reaction channel man! The more you listen to this genre called metalcore and any core genre really, the more used to it you get, then it starts growing on you quick as fuck. I’m mixed but the majority of what I am is black, so I grew up on hip hop and R&B in my elementary school years. Middle school is when I was introduced to bands like linkin park, disturbed, and slipknot, which are nu metal bands (genre fusion of metal and hip hop) then freshman year of highschool my little brother introduced me to a band called bring me the horizon in 2009 (back when they only did metalcore and deathcore) i also started learning how to scream around that time because I wanted to be like Chester of linkin park. Still didn’t like metalcore and deathcore that much because the vocals sounded strange the first couple of listens. But then it grew on me somehow and has since been my favorite group of genres along with nu metal. Everyone seems to have similar stories. So keep giving it a shot I’ll recommend some bands: loathe, bring me the horizon 2011 and before and some of their new stuff, deftones (not metalcore, but an incredible nu metal/shoegaze band that might help gateway into metalcore.) the afterimage/brand of sacrifice, silent planet, veil of maya, Oceano, paleface Swiss, the browning, atilla, blessthefall. Another nu metal band is linkin park if you haven’t. I recommend their albums meteora and hybrid theory As well as minutes to midnight. These are the bands that got me on the path. Never hurts to expand your music taste! If it grows on you, you won’t regret it, But if it’s not for you, that’s fine too! Hope you have a fun time checking these artists out though!! There’s a huge demand too for reaction channels who are hip hop fans to react to nu metal, metalcore and deathcore
Think you might like the band Sevendust, and maybe Loathe. Lead singers are Black men and they're absolutely incredible. Sevendust may be more your heavy rock vibe. Denial is a great one by them. You might also like Rat Race by Skindred - think reggaeton meets metal.
If you ever want to listen to metal that has little to no screaming then maybe try out some being me the horizon songs like teardrops, lost, kool aid, darkside, or youtopoia
This is some pretty niche music. It's my niche and I love it. Thanks for reacting!
