Awesome demo, man! My dad told me that he'd get me a mid-range guitar for a graduation gift, and I'm thinking of getting the 7 string version of this. Seems like a lot of guitar for $500
You will NOT find a better 8 string for the money. I can guarantee you that from personal experience. Do not buy Legator either trust me, also agile has cheap guitars but they're no where near the quality and the fretboards on their cheaper models are crap. Good luck dude!
Really nice playing! I own this guitar too, but to get rid of the mudiness you really need to adjust your tone. A distortion sound that would work great on a 6 string, can have some problems on 8 strings. So you really need a tight low-end. I put my distortion quite low and boosted it with an overdrive to get my sound as tight as possible. Also! I tweaked it a bit with an eq.
Just placed an order for an RGMS8 and the next 7 days will be the longest ever... But when it arrives I'll have a lot of fun learning how to play guitar again. 😂
@@jansen2158 You wrote the riff? 👍🏻😎 It’s amazing. I'm a 6-7 string guy and flirt with 8 strings. I would love to learn and play this beautiful riff if I can buy it one day. Congratulations 👌🏻🤘🏻😎
Hey, was wondering if you could lend any advice on upgrading the pickups to this? Just bought one and i'm trying to install Fishman Fluence active pickups.
Hey, Unfortunately it’s really difficult.. I duplicated the base Plate of the original Pickups, then completely disassembled the new Dimarzios (which was frightening) so that both coils are loose and mounted it on the DIY base plates to Match the right angle..but I have no idea if you can do that to the Fishmans
The angle of the frets on this Ibanez is quite big in comparison to other fanned fret guitars. At the beginning it was challenging but after some weeks playing on it I got used to it. but I still have to concentrate ;)
@@jansen2158 Thank you! As a beginner I want to decide which one to choose... I played with strait frets on 6-string guitar, but a little... I think it make sense to buy not angled for now)))
@@alexpat3d you should get a 6 string standard fret guitar if you're a beginner imo. Fanned fret/multi scale guitars are great if you're an intonation freak and they do feel quite natural with your hand and fingers because you're fingers are angled similar when playing. They are wonderful in their own way. But yeah, I suggest you get a 6 string standard fret and once you get the hang if it, move to a 7 or 8 string multi scale. Just never stop playing your standard fret because that is the most common type and the basis of your learning.
Finally someone who actually can play sonething audible on clean and OD with an 8 string
Thanks 😉 if you are into clean/od 8-string music: Jose Macario (taco groove for example) is super creative and fun to listen to

It‘s a great guitar in that price range with 5 different and useable sounds..I bought it used and upgraded the Pickups, for me it was a great deal :)
i got the 7 string version and put 500$ worth of upgrades and i love it but know that you will have to get it serviced to perform better.
I didn't expect this. I dig your style. Sick.
Thank you :)
I LOVE so much your style of playing🤘
Sweet playing bro, thinking of grabbing one of these for my first 8 string
Go for it 😊 it takes a while getting used to the fanned frets, and the extra strings, but I liked the challenge

Same here seems like it has great value for an 8 string, and I really like the split/single coil options.
the tones out of this thing are insane for that price , the second riff with the OD ..that's where its at .😌👌

@@jansen2158 My target is Cort 8 string. Fanned fret, 28”-26,5” But I'm a little broke these days :)
Those are some nice riffs! Do you play in a band?
Hello, wonderful playing and demo. May I ask which amp you are using?
Guitar face is serious. You can always tell how good someone is by the guitar face💀

Nice demo... where is this guitar fabricated?
Thanks 👍 it was made in Indonesia
Is it hard to start playing on guitar with angled frets?
