For a building of this size there's an exception to the fire code. Evacuating a building of this size would mean it would cause traffic jams. Therefore fire could allows these buildings to investigate the cause of the alarm before having to evacuate the building.

Don't stay at Luxor again. You will regret it. I found a video from another user with the same issue and the room service manager was an idiot to the poor guests and made them leave. Please help spread the word!
i wish las vegas has system sensor speaker strobes strobes l series spectre advence and classic with these gentex fire alarm speaker strobes and strobe only system.
What was the announcement saying? At least I know that if the fire alarm goes off at the Luxor, I won’t be listening to some sudden scary 1000 decibel shit horn at 3am.
The fire alarm makes a nice magical lightshow over the atrium it seems haha
That's such a pretty view! The fire alarm strobes make the view even better
It's not good for people who see random flashes of lights it causes them to have seziers
@@deleteduser25366t Which is why it might be a good idea for them to stay out of Vegas in the first place. Why would that even be a thing with you?
As someone who works in a hotel if I were to stay in any hotel if fire alarm was activated to full bells I’d evacuate as you never know

Idk but I herd that it goes of a lot
That shot of the atrium with all the strobes flashing is so cool
Imagine waking up to be the only one there.
this went off at 3am in the excalibur the other day, it was terrifying
Nice with all the strobes
I never heard slow whool on gentex commander 3 before sounds great
that hotel so big I thought that was the whole city vegas-
The building is beautiful
In 1995 my grandparents my dad and my aunt went there and the alarms never went off once.
That must echo loudly across the world's most voluminous atrium
That’s the coolest hotel I’ve ever seen
I love that hotel SO MUCH!
Gentex commander series remote strobes and ceiling mount speakers. Neat!
bad ass hotel m8. Looks so nice
Patrick Stewart It is on the strip in Las Vegas.
😂😂😂😂😂
This reminds me of the 2 times my smoke alarms went off and I cried. Great video tho!😍😍😍😍😍
interesting how the lobby's fire alarms stay normal but a the other floors are going off.
I guess since evacuation of the lobby wasn't necessary at the time.
Imagine if you just got your baby to sleep and that goes off. HAHA
VegasGoldenKnightsFan1992
youre hardly going to have your baby with you in vegas
Why is there a buzzing type noise in the background whenever a fire alarm goes off? Its always been speakers strobes that have made that noise.
The whooping sound is creepy
@Renee Loves Despacito i did once
No is not
I was there one night and I saw an Egyptian Soldier walking down the hallway escorting his pharaoh these two people were ghosts my PKE reader was off the chart
Love the Commander!
This went off the other night at 11 pm or something and I was shaking just because of the voice of the alarm and it was too loud I almost cried lol😅
Imagine me and the Beyond BASIC crew (along with the teammates and former team captains) hearing this alarms while staying there.

Those strobes really need a sync module...
But at least it makes it more beautiful on the view
It's bad for people who are severely sensitive of random flashing lights some people may have photo sensitive epilepsy
I once heard this at 2am when I went to Vegas the first time. Never found out why sadly.
False alarm probably
@@Mrbushbtalls837 no duh. but never found out what the false cause was.
@@rusefoxghost Probably someone pulled it, or someone smoked by a smoke detector
That happened to me at the paris hotel in vegas right when we were getting our luggage to go to the airport!
At least you were prepared to leave!
Were those Gentex speaker strobes? those looked like Commander 3's
What happened, why the alarm went off
Gentex fire alarm. Voice evaluation. Thespeakers strokes?
backrooms ahh looking building💀🔥
Have you ever been to the Eldorado Casino Hotel in Reno Nevada
I was there in Nov 2015 and this went off in early hours of morning. So loud in the room nearly impossible to stay in there. Went down stairs to investigate and by reception and the window where the lift are there was water flooding out like a waterfall flooding the reception area
Sounds like a sprinkler pipe broke and tripped a waterflow sensor.
@@sfs2040 A simmilar thing happened at a Best Western in Saskatoon we were staying at. Wasn't caused by a broken pipe, but a drop in city water pressure.
Just happened again last night. You could hear water flowing, onto the roof of something in the atrium.
I've seen like five different videos of this hotel
Nice video cool
i cant be the only one who heard “we will keep you in bed. thank you.” 😭
What do you have a fire alarm in my school
How long did it go off for

Are those Gentex Commander 3's?
What evac panel the hotel uses
Is this the original alarm system from 1993?
Why did the fire alarm go off at the hotel
dystopian vibes
hey this sound like tresure island
Gentex speaker strobe? Or is a speaker playing that?
Gentex C3 remote strobes, and some sort of speaker playing the audio
The strobes being out of sync is actually a violation of NFPA-72. That needs to be corrected.
Old systems that were installed before that was code do not need to be brought up unless the system is replaced or renovated.
Isn't that place haunted? I've seen a few videos of paranormal activity there.
That would explain the fire alarm going off every day, a ghost keeping pulling the fire alarm
What caused the alarm
For no reason the hotel reminds me of Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN.
Nice gentex commander 3!
*Remote strobe

its like a light show also they have a custom sound on a gentex horn storbe
I am never sleep in luxor ever again! 😫😤
i have 2 questions did the Las Vegas Fire Dept Come and also are you from Las Vegas
JoshSomerton not from Vegas. Didn’t see Fire dept. I went back to bed, had to fly home the next morning.
kong fu how and why did the fire alarm go off?
David M they said it was a false alarm (don't know if that was true)
kong fu did somebody pull the fire alarm and did everyone evacuate the building?
What was the cause of the alarm?
Probably faulty smoke detectors or drunk young adults pulling the alarm.
I would've put duck tape on the in room speaker, and put in ear plugs and went back to asleep. It was probably cry wolf syndrome as usual.
How many times do false alarms happen compared to the real thing?
That’s a felony for tampering with life safety equipment
Aaron Productions so what about the kids who are obsessed with emergency lights and exit signs and go around in public buildings pressing the test buttons and touching them? That's a felony right?
TheJakeman789 no, that’s not disabling a life safety device
But its tampering.

How can a gentex commander do voice evac? They don't seem to do that?
Dan Barber The Gentex Commanders look like remote strobes only; there must be some other speaker sounding off the whooping noise
Why are these strobes not in sync? Looks like a disco. People with epilepsy would get a seizure
Why are you all just standing there and not leaving the building?
It says “we will keep you advised,” not “evacuate the building.”
They might as well leave it running all the time. It seems to go off every single day
Don't stay at Luxor again. You will regret it. I found a video from another user with the same issue and the room service manager was an idiot to the poor guests and made them leave. Please help spread the word!

The voice evac really needs replacing there, that constant buzzing sound is really annoying
Pretty sure the buzzing sound is a horn of some sort in the individual hotel rooms.
@@TheCentralTexasRailfan I don't think so; a horn wouldn't be that quiet and it's still clearly audible outside the rooms as well

how does a gentex commander do that?
Those are just remote strobes, i believe that there are some speakers mounted on the ceiling producing the sound.

It's not the commander 3s it's the speakers on the ceiling sounding
Pepe The dog No, the Gentex Commander is not making the sound. It is just a strobe. There is a separate speaker producing the whooping tone.
