I love that Trump is asking why Kamala Harris hasn't done anything about the border since she's been vice president for the last 3 and 1/2 years but I have to ask why he, as someone whose campaign is almost singularly focused on the border, didn't do anything serious about it for the entire 4 years that he was president of the United States of America?
Turn off your main breaker good grief. And when I was in a 7.2 earthquake. I ran through my neighborhood turning off everyone’s natural gas. No fires in my neighborhood. Thanks Ramona. I’m a first responder…
Why are people allowed to abandon their boats before storms? These boats end up damaging people’s homes as much as the storm does. Not to mention the environmental effects from leaking fuel. Seems ridiculous people will lose their homes and have to deal with boats in their yards.
Owners are required to remove their boats, if Coast Guard has to remove, they face horrendous bills from the CG.The CG has to address safer, more secure moorings prior to najor storms, including enabling boat owners' to remove their boats to safer, higher ground before incoming storms. CG & boat owners have been stifled by CG limited budgets & lack of support, consideration & knowledge by elected officials & increasingly limited inland structure & increasing costs. ALL due to INADEQUATE FORETHOUGHT & GREED.
President Joe Biden approved emergency declarations for Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina before Helene made landfall. Before Helene made landfall, the federal government placed personnel and resources across the region, ready to help with search and rescue, restore power, and provide food and water and emergency generators. The federal government sent 1,500 federal personnel to the region, as well as about 8,000 members of the U.S. Coast Guard and teams from the Army Corps of Engineers to provide emergency power. It provided two health and medical task forces to help local hospitals and critical care facilities, and sent in more than 2.7 million meals, 1.6 million liters of water, 50,000 tarps, 10,000 cots, 20,000 blankets, 70,000 gallons of diesel fuel, and 40,000 gallons of gasoline to provide supplies for those hit by the catastrophe.
Simple solution: dont live in Florida.
and what about the people in georgia tennesee and NC right now? don't live there either?
Buying a house without insurance is a risky gamble, especially in the Florida peninsula.
