I can’t stop collecting vintage Kenner figures they are so fascinating and learning the history behind the figures had always appealed to me, and one day I will own a blue snagged tooth
There seems to be a little discussion about exactly how many... All depends on if you count the max rebo band, Jaba the Hutt and some of the variants... But I will defer to your expertise!
Yeah if you look at the back of a POTF card with 92, Rebo Band 3, first C-3PO and first two R2-D2s 2, Yak Face, Blue Snaggletooth. Jabba and Salacious Crumb is a playset, not standard size, but cool to have too ✊. Anything else is a variation of the same figure👌😉
@@michaelharrington75 He's really the same figure, just a variation. I'm just counting actual different figures. There is another R2-D2 from the Droid Factory, 101. Some count Salacious Crumb(Jabba's playset) and the Dianoga from Death Star playset too.
This is great! I just started collecting. Just completed the 1st 21 all OG and also just got bought the same case! Glad to join the journey Brent. This is gonna be fun!
I have pretty much all of the Power Of The Force still sealed. The Sears by my house growing up in 1986 were selling them two for a dollar. I was 13 and had some birthday money bought a lot of them and as I said, kept them sealed. I posted them once on FB and got so many offers for R2 and Han in Carbonite. But I can't sell my child hood.
I was just watching another video on the value of "vintage" SW figures, and apparently there is a specific line labeled "vintage" that came out around 2010-2012.
Oone of my favorite tricks is to scoped out Star Wars lot auctions on eBay... One of the figures in this big lot was the r2... I could just barely see the lightsaber peeking up outside, which let me know that it was the one I was looking for. So I ended up getting a lot of figures for far less than what he would have cost on his own...

Might be cheaper to just build a time machine, go back in time between 1978 to 1985 and buy them off the shelf than to buy them now.
Love this
👍😎
How much did your pop-up r2d2 cost?
