Contrary to the majority of initial reviews, many of them noted that the engine exhibited a lack of power. You didn't feel the car a bit lethargic at all?
I read that the 2.4 perdana used honda I-VTEC K24 engine but it is still just VTEC and so it carry the character of vtec kick in 4500 rpm and for maximum power you need to redline it in 6300rpm.
@@tractiontalk I think the the demand for D-segment car is good. Just that for Proton with Geely will be focussing more on SUV. I think they would have the know how to build D-segment car from this project
@@amirshah2665 The world is also moving towards SUVs, regardless of how it can actually perform as an 'SUV'. What to do...Proton has to follow consumer trends. D-segs like this can also rival the benefits of SUVs while offering some more. It would be great if we have a proper, more up-spec D-seg but Proton has to brush up on build and powertrain quality first in order to realize it
chassis too big...i mean passengers container, you type person who blast on highway it will create insecure emotions... horizontal eyes views position...the more you feels close to the car roof the more confident you have to counter the conner... example take proton Waja chasis...rise the mount of seat a little bit...so it will your vision to counter the conner...other benefits when you in high speed same you have clear view without been distrub light from other cars or highway lamps...ofcuz we involve in road crash we gonna dies...what you expect from aircraft setup? (Incase if that doing barrel roll)

It did lumber a bit but I thought of it as a behaviour of a big N/A engine. Quite a relaxing thing to drive
Good presentation and neat video editing 👍
Thank you @siramril1838...check out other car vids too!
Wonder how much is the cost for the exterior changes. Especially for small run,low volume product
I wonder too since the changes are significant. Wishing this model had more continuity though...

the 2.4 i vtec was a tad lazy.poor nvh and steering is too light
Tuned / biased towards comfort and convenience, maybe?
Well I'd rather get an Accord instead since the Perdana just copied it
It then comes down to design since the underpinnings are similar...
accord is G9, this is based on g8. interior make worst as Proton did not even make major changes other than the cheap looking HU
Probably too old if you are comparing the same gen this Perdana was based on (8th gen Accord).
I choose 2.0
Why?

That's why we take this car for long journeys on highways, not to a touge' session
