Thoughts on TDUSC's highway compared to other open world racing games?
Should be easy to reach over 250mph, maybe over 300mph. I assume they don't have boost in the game?
needs better camera angles, and handling looks more arcady and safe compared to TDU Gold's. My heart was in my throat when I drove that Saleen S7 on undulating highway at 200MPH+.
And why same speedo for all cars? Also needs WAYYYY better lighting. Current looks monotonous.

there is a game called assetto corsa not the competizione one , its also having this feature and even that happens with grass in that game , for example you drift on land with grass , the grass fly and land on back of car and move as real life , the graphics of that game look better after mods and the physics is on just another level

The sense of speed in this feels crazy like back in the PS3 era. It was a lot of racing games that had a crazy sense of speed. It died off during the PS4 era but this feels insanely fast. Lower speeds really feel like you’re going fast like real life. Most games nowadays you have to get to 200mph just for it to feel fast.
In real life once you start going over 60-70mph you feel that you’re going fast the car starts shaking. Then you hear the wind from the cabin noise increase. Especially between 80-100mph on a public road you want to slow down. GRiD Autosport and NFS Shift 2 had some of the best sense of speed I have ever felt in a car game this is now on that list.
If your car shakes at 70mph you need to get it fixed 😅

If your car shakes at 60mph, either you've got a shitbox or your car is poorly built. Most cars can smoothly and safely operate north of 70mph and south of 100mph. Cars like my GTI can do 130mph comfortably before the governor kicks in, preventing it from going any faster.
As a Hong Kong citizen, it's amazing to not only see my city in a game but also driven by someone I followed since forza horizon! You drove past the area I live in too haha the resemblence is so cool
I think so!! May not be that real from other gameplays in Central District. But really looks real from the section between Quarry Bay to Heng Fa Chuen. Amazing!!

What's even funnier when you think about it, that's not even one of the fastest car available in this game at release, like the Agera RS IRL has a 277 MPH top speed so it's gonna be really scary in this game

The first racing game with an actually good and long highway (outside of Night Runners which is all highway atm and the Asseto Corsa mods)
You shouldn't forget about the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series, which is literally a highway racing game, decades before Night Runners.

TDU2 highway was cool too. I remember doing a mission with a veyron and was just fine. Had some bumps, but it was good overall.

TDU's highways in general were always massive, even on the first one in the PS2 version
The engine noise is really good. And, as others have said, MAN, that sense of speed!
The engine sfx in tdusc is so good compared to other titles. The exhaust burps/bursts are pure ASMR stuff.

I mean, FH5 is not the worst of modern open worlds racing game in terms of sense of speed. I'd say it's OK, but not as good as TDU's sense of speed.
I don't really like FH5, but I re-played it earlier to compare it with the Demo of TDU and TCM. Motorfest's sense of speed is worse.

Generally Forza has lower FOV. Here FOV is huge
@@arcad3 It was on point in Horizon 2 tho. However, the newer the Forza was, the worse the sense of speed turned to be.
He can go super fast here because:
1) highway is wide and long
2)the turns in the highway are not sharp
Forza cant be this fast because the tracks are narrower and shorter, as well as having sharp turns. For the inner city races in solar crown you'll see the cars don't go anywhere near this fast.
Forza is super fast though when you're racing at le mans in a powerful car. Easily compares to this.

A lot of people are saying a lot of things about this game but the sense of speed is really good in this game. Like 200 feels really fast.
The sense of speed in TDU SC is like in WipEout HD.

The slight camera shake and the use of motion blur in just the right places makes the game have a good sense of speed without making me motion sick, 10/10 on that

I hope the game gets lots of small details like that, small but it means a lot for the overall atmosphere. Like how the ramps open if you wait in front of them, rolling down windows, blinkers, folding roof, working gas stations, etc.

That's not even the fastest car that will be available at release, this DB11 is "smooth" in the speed delivery.. i can guarantee you that in the fastest cars you're gonna sh.. yourself and i'm not even joking or overplaying it, if you have driven a real car at a speed you shouldn't have in a road that wasn't meant for it you'll get that same feeling in this game, it's scary and you actually know when you're going too fast

@@humayoonxpro3220 310mph is like 500+km/h roughly, honestly i can't imagine at all game or not what it looks or feel like to hit that speed and ok the game really makes use of the SSD of the consoles and PC but imagine how much the streaming system has to be flawless to handle such an high speed.To be fair the current streaming system they have is really good like you're going at 210mph going past that packed and big city especially when that's the same engine that previously only was used for rally and bike games were the streaming clearly wasn't as sophisticated and the assets quality and density is not the same at all.
Everyone is spamming "PS3 graphics on youtube, reddit, twitter, etc, but TBH I think this game looks BETTER than the crew motorfest, and in some ways, it looks BETTER than fh5. Especially vegetation.

That tunnel is called "Central-Wan Chai Bypass". （中環及灣仔繞道）The length of that tunnel is 4.5 kilometres. It started its construction in 2010 and ended in 2019. The cost of that tunnel is 360 million HK Dollars.

Unpopular opinion: The most issues of the game are fixable, it needs optimization. When fixed, this game is darn good.

The sense of speed is really good. looks like you're going fast and also sounds like it from the wind noise of each car you pass. More games should do that. The only thing I would like them to add is the Forza camera shake at high speeds
The Forza camera shake is reserved for extreme speeds though. Currently in the demo the DB11 is the fastest car you can buy but we will see at launch when we have access to Hypercars!

First time I've been this excited for a racing game since the teaser screenshots from TDU 2. I have so many freaking hours in those two and a half (played PS2 and 360 TDU1) games. TDU is the only franchise to really give you an out-of-the-box experience that fully immerses you in the game in my opinion. Forza never captured the feeling of freedom, or the fact that you are even a human driving the car rather than a robot. I cant wait to see Ibiza and/or Oahu on next gen. My spine is literally tingling with excitement.

This is the first game that speed feels "Good" compared to Need For Speed Pro Street.
What about NFS Shift 2 it was a bad game but the sense of speed was crazy in that game too
@@redhunnid5142 the issue w that game is that depends a lot of the "camera shake", if you remove that, is basically unbound, is not about speed specifically. Sound design in the other hand is ON POINT.
BeamNG got better sense of speed with and without motion blur. Also has better wind and tire noise. In this game wind noise is only heard when passing a car which is not enough. Freeway sounds louder than that at such speeds

How would you describe handling/car physics in general? Doesn't it feel to arcade-ish? Can you feel any difference between different cars in game? Is it playable with driving wheel? I mean TDU and TDU2 were not simulators either, not expecting that to happen, but what are your general thoughts?
Probably more towards simcade. RWD cars are very snappy and oversteers easily. AWD cars will probably give you the best experience. Yes you can feel the differences between cars. As for wheel, can't really comment since I don't use wheel for this game.
It's playable with a wheel and I enjoy driving with a wheel in this game.

no way that is actually +200mph/320kmh! I remember the first time I hit 200kmh (124mph) it was pretty scary!
2:56 look at how aggressively the speed was dropping off during that slide. Looks like they don't want you to maintain as much speed during a slide as other arcade games. It's probably amplified at the speeds but still power was on and no counter steer really 👀

Since FH6 wasn't announced, I'll give the game a chance. It has a lot of flaws but I think the reception of this game will determine where the racing game genre will go from there.
