There are photos of Her Majesty tinkering around under the bonnet of one of her Landys when her escorts could not get it going. She did.👌 She was trained during the war as a vehicle mechanic.
I own a 2001 P38 Range Rover with 200,000 miles on it. One owner from new before me. Sadly it was stolen and recovered and so I bought it in a bit of a state as a project but the 4 litre V8 , bodywork, frame and even the electrics are all in excellent shape. Why did this one survive? Because it was regularly serviced.
Many years ago I owned a Range Rover and it was nothing but a headache, in the end I signed the title over to the mechanic just after he presented me a bill for $1500. Never again.
You gave away a Range Rover for $1500.00 dollars, you are joking. Or are you one of those people who can’t afford to buy a new Range Rover and buys a worn out one instead because it’s cheap, then wonders why it gives them trouble. I have owned numerous Land Rover vehicles and have always traded them in at 4 or 5 years and under 200,000kms, they have as a rule been very reliable. Few idiosyncrasies with them, but over all reliable and always got me where I wanted to go.
Let’s face it, Land Rover has been taken over by the woke mind virus as a company, they dont even pretend to build a car for working people anymore. Their target market is yuppies and drug dealers, I don t even look at them for a vehicle anymore, plastic flash rubbish that will never see a dirt rough road in the vehicles life now.
Were are the identical 2 X-type dark green metallic 3.0L estate her majesty had 1 would be with the queen & they would be swapped round every 6 months with the other been with JLR. Regarding the Landrover V8 Block & head used in the classic P38 and defenders from 91 to 05 when the V8 was killed off i was responsible for Foundry tooling approval & dimensional engineering reports for both.
I have owned a 2001 P38 with a 4 litre V8 for about a year now and I am the 2nd owner. The engine was swopped in 2012 for a Turner prepared engine and runs superbly. Reminds me of the Rover SD1 3500S and Vitesse I owned 'back in the day'.
I say one might want to review the Land Rover HRH Prince Phillip toppled over or even before and after photographs of the vehicle ... Mighty marvellous collection of Royal Landy Eye Candy..
Why the crude insult? Some people value (as I do) the 70 years service Her Majesty gave to this country and the Commonwealth. So yeah it means something when you meet her. She was a legend and respected around the world.
Great display, such an iconic review of the stupidity of British vehicles. Imagine a vehicle so stupid that Corgies were made to claw on linoleum for their lives. It's just great British design.

Love the deep red and green colors.
Was there at rock center fantastic presentation the representatives there were really nice and informative
Very Cool trucks! 😎👍 Nice to see how they changed through the years!💀🙌🖤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🕊🦋🕊🙏✌️Thank you for sharing! 🎉🇺🇸🎉🇬🇧
That 1959 was a lot nicer than the one my dad owned, it was the first vehicle I ever drove as a kid, it was a very durable vehicle.
She most likely did work on them herself. She liked to use her Mechanics training
What a shame how far LR has fallen. Still, we had a great run
I have had 3, just about to hit 5k miles in my new defender and there are no words. Just the best vehicle I’ve ever driven.

Very very sad
She had great taste in the early days
Beautiful L322. The last real Land Rover
Learned to drive on an elderly Series 1. - 1966/67 that would have been, so quite a few years ago!
I saw some of these in October at Audrain Motor week.

They all are a mechanic’s special. My brother had a 110. Drive it, work on it, spend more money.
What's up with the blue tint in the front marker lights, are they emergency warning lights or some such?
sad how LR has gone down hill. i blame gov legistration and emmissin control, last decent LR was the series 3, easy to work on,

Indian 😂
Beautiful vehicles. Can I have one?
Keep the old ones going like my 300TDI Defender, they will still out last there new offerings.
She probably saw them a couple of times every six years or so. 😊
If you can drive those, you can drive anything...
Beautiful vehicles. They must’ve drained all the oil out for display.
The Indians need to give back Jaguar and LR
No doubt that Range Rover is Grand Father of all 4 wheel drives of the world .
By Her and Her Husband ???🤔🤔
By Her Royal Highness and Prince Philip
If you really must correct, make sure you get it right yourself. The late queen was styled 'Her Majesty' not 'Her Royal Highness'.
Which one was she driving when she scared the king of Saudi Arabia with her driving? th-cam.com/users/shortsDU-eXe3DofA?si=0J1eeSRPE7C4qsYn
The A reg 110 V8 with the corgi scratches
“Her” ? You mean “ Her Majesty” surely,

The Queen was a three pedal driver.
Is there a state review vehicle 😂?
old africa's safari documentaries....
nice but they screwed up when they put the steering wheels in, they put them on the wrong side, silly Brits
And I contributed financially to every one of them.

Now it is own TATA,India..😂
And it's rubbish 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Land Rover still pretending to be British I see.
one single japanese car can outlast them ALL COMBINED
LR is like democracy ,looks fine at a glance but runs like shite
My RR doesn't. It runs just fine thanks and its done 200,000 miles.
You were lucky enough to see her drive it. Was she your god ?

Jalopnik has turned into utter garbage. What used to be the go-to for automotive journalism has been replaced by Hagerty media... good riddance.
