I don't understand the reference to British Leyland in the first minute or so of the video. The Rover Company Limited of 1948 certainly had nothing to do with a northern truck making conglomerate and certainly had many successful years ahead before they were to fall into the BL group!
even today, i still think the Land Rover Series 1, is the best car ever made in British history! second place goes to the Range Rover Classic and third place goes to Land Rover Discovery 3.
Wow absolutely awesome dream motorcars, mi first motorcar at 17 y/o was a SWB 1957 Series I, far the best Land Rover Series I've ever had, until today, currently 1979 swb Series III made by Santa Ana, 1964 swb Series IIa, 1977 swb Series III, 1980 swb Series III Santa Ana, 1980 swb Series III, 1979 CKD Venezuela Range Rover Classic, all the best.
In 1971 I bought a 1948 Series 1 for £112. Reg. number URE 888. Loved that car and drove it on a trip all over the Scottish highlands from the Midlands. If you drove at a steady 30mph it returned exactly 30mpg. Sold it for £150 a year later and bought a Mini Cooper for the same price.
If I should have the money I should buy the Tickfor .... I am driving land rover from 1980. The lastone is a defender 110 from 2012 but I do not like the ford engine to complicated . ( what should I say with modern land rover ) I am verry happy also to drive every day my Range Rover Classic 2 doors with Vm 2,5 diesl engine buy new in 1992 and 527,000km .... and I will not exchange it for no other vehicle.. Thanks for the video.
Are you going to tell everyone that 860002 is only an original engine and gearbox? The rest is from a 1949 vehicle and the chassis is definitely not 860002.
