Makes sense that camels get an anti cav bonus, this was true historically. Would be nice if India's sowars could get a similar small buff for consistancy, and because they could use a buff.
@Tomáš Staněk I am not saying camels made better war steeds than horses, but they WERE known to scare horses with their smell and strange appearance. Also camel riders sit higher up, giving a small height advantage.
Historically, Camels have given anti-cav bonuses since Age of Empires 2.
Honestly India needs some serious changes. I would say sowar/mahout should be replaced w/ Jat Lancer and zam can stay as is. Plus, India needs a serious counter to ashi + flaming arrow + yumi mass.
Damn! The Hausa Home city has a nice parade.
that what old city of kano, katnisa, sokoto in north nigeria look like, also agadez taureg-berber niger city look like. i love to see benin civs look like it totally pure sub-saharan city.
Man everything seems to painting the Hausa up to be my new favorite civ
Hausa looks great to play, thank you for making these videos, they make me improve a lot!
Shame they didn't get their own version of a mosque like it shows in their civ home city.
Therapist : African Charminar isn't real, it can't hurt you.
African Charminar : 1:06
How did they get mosque with Turkish architecture? :/
I seriously thought it was a different building.
Great vid Drongo
that's good hausa and Ethiopia are whole lover each other.
7:02 - keep los on a heavily guarded treasure and wait for opponents army/vils
Lots of cards that encourage a super turtle playstyle it seems.
The hausa need to start with a towncenter post cart not a town center or the ability to move your starting tc
Otherwise we might see tc drop strats coming
You always explain so well and patiently. Thanks Aussie!
just realized I'm playing this civ completely and utterly wrong xD
Never expected my origines (berbère) to one day be in that game
Intressting .
They're also in AoE2
@@Ratciclefan i have VERY bad memoris of aoe2 (mostly players arrogance and agressive atitude torwads aoe3 players like me )
But i might try this game one day .
@@scorpion7532 yeah, AoE2-only players can be very annoying xD
Hausa are not Berbere I'm confused.
@@user-vw6bk4pb4l no but they have berbere units.
The most good looking home city, super nice the depth of it and the sky texture :)
To me, Hausa is equivalent to Malians from Age of Empires 2.
I would have thought the Hausa mosque would have a similar west African adobe style to it as the rest of their architecture they have.
Something along the lines of the mosque in yaama for example.
Seems strange to just give them a recolor of the ottoman mosque though.
Just out of curiosity can you only trade zebu cattle at the the livestock market or can it apply to other types of herdables as well, like cows, sheep, llama, water buffalos etc?
others work aswell. depending on how big the animal is - the ratio differs tho. It makes sense to collect everything you get tho - still worth it ;-)
So, 200w200g for 1.5/s exp, or 400w400g for 2.25/s exp?
I think it is much worse than bank or TP.
Another way to look at it you is exp for early game and influence for mid to late game. The influence is how you unlock techs and bank don't compare as they come with a limited pop cap.
At first glance I kind of love the mechanics for this civ, but the rates seem a bit steep. It seems that you will have to crush them fast or they will steamroll you if you let them be for a few minutes. I especially wonder how this will pair with the planned nerfstorm coming in the August patch for the remaining civs...
The new civs will probably be also nerfed/balanced. Drongo already said he "reported" some issues so that they can be changed.
Is there any strategy that utilizes getting cattle from say the British teammate to sell ? or use his op fattening cards to get cattle fat faster ?
I’m a fan of AOE3 and the new African dlc pack I think the graphics are great. Can’t believe I skipped this game years ago. I have a feeling the graphics will top AOE4
a question about the univercity, if an ally contorls the trading post does it boost your infleunce gain aswell? or does it mean if an haus ais in your team they should get the trading posts only?
I'd love to get an overview of all new African units, thanks !
I kept hearing "houser"
So hang on, you as Hausa can age up and ally yourself with the Hausa?
So which new civ is stronger?
give us zulu in the future!!!!!
Uuh inca 2.0 as turtle strat ye?
Man the university optimization is some unintuitive stuff, it's really expensive for it's trickle rate but you have to spam them
turtle gang unite
Is just my impresion or the hausa are designed a little bit the same way the new civs will work in age 4?
These factions play too much like European factions. They have gunpowder units like any European civ. I thought they would play like Aztecs or Incas
Then people like you would complain that they are too simar to native-americans...
They did have gunpowder units irl lmaooo
West African tribes had a tendency to sell their enemies to acquire guns to fight and capture more of their enemies. That's how Europeans acquired African slaves.
They had guns irl
They had guns in real life😂
Damn, as RP player that hates hunting and killing herdables (yeap, animal-loving weirdo, I know), I was hoping for Hausa to have different start than Ethiopia. Not only you slaughter one cattle mandatorily, but you have to sell them too (should I be optimistic to believe that "buyer" wants them only for milk?). So far, both civs have a big moral obstacle for me, perhaps I will buy this DLC just for the new maps
I mean the game is about killing countless people, innocent villagers and destroying towns and buildings. It's a bit a weird line to draw
I hope you are just trolling lol
You literally kill people in the game, and then you don't want to kill a few animals... You are the biggest idiot I've ever seen
You are truly a heretic.
What
Let's do a little trolling uh?
