Ford Kent Crossflow 711M Twin Delortos will it start ??

- This little special powered by the long standing Ford Kent Crossflow 711M sat for a couple of years after it just packed up... will it start join me as I fault find and try to crank it back in to life
Sounds lovely and makes me miss the Sylva Striker I built 30 years ago. I think you would benefit from longer trumpets as you have the room
No Engine fitted with Dellorto carburettors will ever start when cold without pulling the choke. The problem is that most owners have not fitted a Choke cable. With Weber carburettor you can push the throttle twice and they will start, but not so with Dellorto
Your right!!!! check my latest video as proof...... can't find any chokes on the carbs Im about to fit a beautiful Webber on my MGB GT any time look out for the video

hi clean nuts... been half a decade since you posted this video, but i have a question for you. i see the intake manifold is compltely straight . many crossflow intakes angle upward to avoid the dizzy. which intake manifold do you have? and how does it fit above the dizzy like that?
