Yes! I think this is what the crucifixion ofJesus symbolizes. He spoke of bring reborn as well. The cross may be the most powerful and deepest symbol we have. Each of us should mature to a point in life where we become aware of how selfish we were in our past and the hurt we caused. If you face this head on and take responsibility for your past “sins” your old self dies and you are reborn.
My favorite depiction of death and rebirth is Creasy in Man on Fire. He tried to kill him self with his own pistol but it misfires. He then walks outside late at night in the rain. Water must be another powerful symbol. Purification, cleansing etc.

It is a spiritual death. Surrender who you are as who you think you are is what this world created to keep you from knowing your true self.
There will be absolutely NO MISTAKING when you die to self. You will stand before DEATH himself and you will pass or fail.
Those that fail will be trapped in a deception believing they passed.

I definitely went through this in a profound way. I had lasting trauma from my childhood and adolescence that was really affecting me and holding me back in life, and it was also inhibiting my growth into becoming a fully functional man. I "journeyed into the underworld" when I finally started addressing all this trauma, and it really was hell for awhile, nearly took me out. I didn't have a life and blood mentor (something I regret now), but I did have lots of books, and later did have Jordan Peterson, whose lectures helped me beyond what words can describe. My old self died, I transformed into something else, someone else, and I integrated my shadow. When JP talks about Simba going through the transformation process at the lake with Mufasa in the sky, how people's faces harden, etc, that describes me 1000%. My face hardened, I integrated my shadow, weirdly felt more "whole" than I've ever felt, like I've incorporated this new side to me, these new skills and powers, and I truly am much more powerful than before. It caused a noticeable and permanent personality change in me, and most importantly, the trauma that was crippling to me for so long didn't bother me anymore. Truly bizarre. Bizarre that all this is captured in humanity's myths and stories all around the globe and going back thousands of years.
And now I try to use my story to help others who are struggling with trauma, gently guiding them with however much input they need/want/are comfortable with to help them live better lives and be a better version of themselves.

Saw the first Kung Fu Panda when I was 45 and I absolutely loved it. So much wisdom packed into what would appear to be a children's movie. Seen it many times since. I'm currently going through a problem at work with 2 narcissist coworkers who are working together and would love to see me fired. I'm trying to reframe this as a challenge and to awaken the warrior within. A lot of these challenges in the world today are these types of challenges. I want to slay this dragon which are my fears about this situation. Trying to let go and let god, not react to the bs. I first looked at this as being a pain but now I'm looking for it to give me gain and to practice what I've learned in my recovery. A real life practicum.

Stalin shit yeah I was in a similar place. It was the most scary place I've ever been, realising that the fact that there is an existence does not make fucking sense... With time these thoughts got less and less, I don't think I conquered this fear though. I don't know if it is even possible to fully conquer this fear. Anyways, Martin Heideggers philosophy and a bit of Alan watts and not being alone for too long and some positive nihilism helped me along the way. Essentially I came to the conclusion that nothing makes sense so it is extremely important that I try to enjoy it.

I absolutely resonate to this. I am a therapist, coach and facing my own journey. It is all very exciting and helps when you get stuck in your fears that we all face them..the key for me is to keep moving forward and learn each time how to pay less attention to the enemy in the caves. He there to teach me but I need to use it as just that and not as a signal to "run"...:) Thankyou!

Gamma Goblin I think its great if you want to explore the astral world or maybe dream states etc..you can experience simmilar stuff as on psyhadelics! ;) Lots of times I experience closed eye visons simmilar than on psyhadelics and the travels are just mind blown! The more you work on yourself(yoga, meditation etc.) the more lucid you get in this 3D reality the more lucid you will become in "the dream state"..maybe you will need more time as on psyhadelics but it will be worth it!I wish you lots of joy&success on your journey and happy travels!🌒

Gamma Goblin just follow your heart and believe in yourself on your journey..if you meditate youre on a right path and you can get lots of insights trough it!About your healt issue I think if you explore slowly and patiently you will get to your answears soon enough. If you have some answears etc. youre free to ask ;) good luck&happy travels!
