MORE THOUGHTS: There's just so much here to react to: the words, the visuals, and the music. All three elements come at you at the same time, and it's all perfectly mixed. I was expecting a good time, some clever rhymes, maybe a good groove, and I got a lot more. You can see my posture change from good times to "Okay, I gotta listen to what he's saying, too." Some serious socio-political truth he's laying down.

As much as I love Pac and grew up with his music up until his murder, his music never dies. Its really awesome to see so many people of this new generation gravitate to his music and appreciate his musical genius and lyricsist.

What's up NY! Dude, 1994, I'm in NH, and for Thanksgiving weekend I drive down to NY. City's practically empty. One night I'm just juking around the west side of Manhattan and I'm walking down empty streets surrounded by all these big old buildings that you don't know what the hell is going on inside. Mysterious fucking city at night. Check out the movie "After Hours" for NY circa 1981. Smoke if ya got 'em.
This song is just a glimpse into who Tupac was. You should look up interviews Tupac did when he was really young. He was a great student who attended Baltimore School for the Arts where he met Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Wow, interesting. That's Jada at 6:18, right? I've been thinking I should read up on the artist beforehand so I know something going in. I've been haunted by this song ever since I reacted to it.
