I think you are probably the only person I have seen that can make painting an iron fence post interesting. I would have use the green, but the color you used is pretty too. We paint everything with oil base green barn paint. A tip for you if you don't already know. One day I decided to use some Skin so soft bath oil by Avon to remove the paint. Surprise, surprise It will take oil base paint right off and it smells good too.
Painted pole really makes a difference! Looks good. That paint glove is new for me. That’s a really smart tip! Very good idea to protect your hands with rubber gloves. Great job! Thanks for sharing!
Daniel, That's gotta be the craziest video yet... you were right though it was messy hope ya had some mineral spirits to get it out of your shirt and wipe it off the your barn before it dries! I was a painting contractor for over 50yrs, ya inhibitor, primers are good, had to do it on gov jobs and such, but for myself, the cost and time, I did it your way very good.Love those dogs and goats .if if you have a trailer or a grandpa house in the back of that property somewhere I'm your video man

I've never seen the paint mitt before. I have a job that I have not done because I did not want to use a brush. Man I'm getting me emit and do the job. What a great idea. More jobs might get done around here a little faster. LOL no just a good thought.

Daniel..it’s called a Dad bod! My hubby had a dad bod before he was ever a dad. He’s always been a bit chubby. That’s ok! Been married to my chubby for 46 years. I’m long and lean and he’s chubby. A good video for January I guess. I love how dogs can act like whatever you do must be important, so they stay with you through the project. I saw on the news that you might get down to 20° Saturday! Hope you survive.
We used paint mitts on our farm fence and the first time we used it we found the fibers come loose with the paint and stick to the post. Looks terrible. So next time we washed the mitts and threw them in the dryer. They worked better as the laundry process removed most of the loose fiber from the mitts.

Try 2 mits and place both in trays with paint then cup then around the poles and slide down. Works so much faster if you have lots of pipe to paint.

we did this back in the '70's using a cotton gloves over a pair of dish gloves
I use the rubber gloves to work with my bees they work great. Yes you will get stung once and awhile.
