Something to be proud of Tyler. Folks who don’t know better will walk by that fence and think “it’s just a fence “. Those of us who have built them know the amount of time, labor and money that’s required. Great job, your grandchildren will be able to use that fence 👍🏻
I totally agree. A fence that will last the duration of the farm 🇨🇦😊
Great job, Tyler !! I like your thinking !! Just "get 'er done" !! That fence is SOLID and is gonna be there for your grandchildren !! LOL !!
Fence is really making the area look priceless .Good job Tyler .😊
It takes time, period! Worth it though, just finishing 2600 feet
Tyler, I greatly admire your work ethic young man.
Thanks for sharing farmer tyler ranch I enjoyed the video and I hope you have a great day
Thank you for the tips on "saving" time. Each step of the process adds up. You have an interesting TH-cam channel. 😊
Of course, another time saver would not to have to perform a video production, but we all appreciate the extra time you put in to show us how it is done.
Looks good Tyler!!
I really really like the suggestion in the comments of cutting your LONGEST piece of pipe required FIRST, so if it's cut too short, it can be re-used , re-cut for a shorter piece of the railing. 👍👌
I'm a cow cockies daughter ... so I know that so much of farming is repetitive work. It requires commitment and dogged determination at times. You my friend have it all in spades 👏👏👏 Love your work ethic . Am so glad you took this on full time my man you can't help but be blessed and were blessed to watch. My dad passed on aged 85 30yrs ago, does my old heart good to watch a man in whom i can see so much of my old dad in. You bring kudos to the farming community Tyler Farmer Ranch. THANKYOU 🇦🇺🤗💞🙏👍👌✌️👏🇺🇲✝️
Hi Tyler ❤❤❤❤
Seeing the aerial view, shows your audience just how much fence you actually have to complete. Good job Tyler 🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
Fence is beginning to take shape looks real strong Tyler thanks for sharing can't wait to see your next project blessings
Fence looks excellent, super strong. One thing I've found helpful in similar situations - work on the longest span first, then if you cut something too short, you can reuse it for one of the smaller sections ...
Hooray - corral fence !!
As always, I enjoy your videos so much!! I learned so much from you as you talk to us and teach us and I love the precision work which you do and you put up to feel!! I’m sorry that you ran out of fuel! It’s SO Frustrating when you finally get busy on a project only to have something like that stop you from continuing on the project!
I loved how the cattle were watching you, as you were welding, the fence and building it… They just had to come up and check it out. I find cattle to be very inquisitive animals❣️❣️
I also find you to be very meticulous in anything you were building or doing. Thanks again for bringing us along on your latest videos. 😊👍🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️
Dang Tyler, you're good. When you do these instruction videos even a dummy like me can learn it.
Tyler! You out did yourself! I look forward to your innovative projects. The c clamps and cutting guide are especially helpful for you. Fence looks great!
My kind of Welder! Precut Saddles, Buff rusted areas, using C-Clamps, & use a Level. It not only looks good but it will last a long time. You do Good Fabrication & Welding
Great video! I’m totally invested, can’t wait to see you finish it!
Farmer tyler ranch I enjoyed the video
I appreciate all your videos and I check for a new one every day. Consider taking a spare gas can to your projects.😁😁
It's the little things Tyler.
My Dad was a welder at Newport News Shipbuilding. he told stories about welding in tanks and other confined space where he would crawl in on his back and weld with barley 2" of headspace.
That place is a nightmare 😢been there and what this guy's doing is a dream
Tyler, thanks for the welding primer today. In the beginning of engineering career, I was employed in several steel and piping fabrication facilities. I remember some of the welders giving me the same welder position tips that you gave. I spent several years in the quality control department and learned a tremendous amount of information concerning proper welding procedures as well as radiographic weld inspection. I learned how the welds were supposed to look but never had the opportunity to burn even one single rod. I have vowed that welding is one practice that I will learn before I die. Oops. I guess I better hurry. I'm 67. God bless you,Tyler.
Tyler, you have me worn slick already. That's definitely a lot of welding. Can't believe how tired I get in my retirement years!
Always enjoy your welding and farm jobs. Guess I'd better catch a nap so I'll be ready for next time. Take care.
🎉❤ I’m just too excited to see this project completed. The ranch is taking shape. Thanks for sharing.
Morning Tyler awesome video thanks for sharing your day with us really enjoy watching you build your pipe fence
This is how pipe fence is explained how to build ! Couple people on Utube have explained and don’t really know how to build them and on top of that they start schooling people and charging them for basic stuff that this guy explained really good 👍🏻
Evan at CVA's is going to install some oil field pipe cross braces. Sure FTR explanation will be helpful.
Wow you work hard and this will last years! Great job❤
At the welding school I attended, the instructor started us on acetylene welding, then arc welding, then mig welding and finally tig welding.
No one in the class could get an A.
The instructor advised us this day one.
Once we got certified, we could bring our certification to him and he would automatically change our grade for that certification to an A.
I took him up on it and he kept his word.
Welding is definitely a skill worth knowing.
With that skill, I later worked my way through college.
I know nothing about welding, but as a teacher, I must say that your instructor certainly was not very motivating. I've had teachers like that, too, unfortunately.
@dianemotley My welding school instructor was an outstanding teacher.
He had 35 years of experience welding from pipeline construction in Alaska to working on nuclear power plants.
When we first heard no A's, as students, we did not understand.
Our school had no equipment to x-ray our work. The only way to show a weld is perfect. (A work)
To get certified, your welding must be x-rayed.
To get certified, your welding must be perfect.
Certification equaled A work for my instructor.
I agree!!!
Clearly a man who has done piece work in his prior employment. "Time is money"! Good to see your drone is back airborne, gives a full and complete perspective. Good post FTR!
Your welds are smooth as butter!
I do like that plasma cutter, never used one but I imagine it is similar to arc air just more accurate and way way way quieter. I also like your explanations of WHY you do things the way you do. Thank you!
I enjoyed the video and seeing the fence coming along. Great work FTR.!
Tyler, did I see you tapping a cut- off with the plasma tip? Try capping the pipes to make them last a little longer. The good thing with oil field pipe, you'll be doing this again or replacing major rusted out sections when you are 75.
Great tips on learning to weld. Thanks.
Enjoyed watching the video atyler 😊
You're such a great all worker you can do almost anything, i love it❤
Absolutely love watching you and learning.
Mate, can you imagine when your grandson is improving the ranch.....He will be 'stoked' when talking about you, his 'Grandpa'........😊
Learn how to pull a trigger, LOL that was funny. love the video, great job Tyler.
Thanks for another great video. And, learning the 'how to', use good pipe/material with consistent wall thickness is important.
Thank you I will no longer take for granted a fence. God bless.
Great video thanks for taking the extra time to explain the process.
Hi FT! Looks great! For me, one thing you do is using the clamps to lay the measured pipe on. Great idea when you’re working by yourself! Good job! Gods blessings always!❤❤
This was very informative. Thanks for taking the time to make this video
nice video, thx for sharing, greetings from Belgium
Got love a man with a plan ! 👍🙏🏽🇺🇸✌🏻😎
Really enjoy your projects. May I humbly add a small suggestion. Instead of throwing the small off-cuts on the ground, I would just keep a bucket close by and throw them in there. I would hate for a cow to step on that metal and get a piece stuck in their foot.
He won't be leaving them on ground. Duh!!!! he's a FARMER !!!
Hey FTR and family! I just heard about the earthquake in your area and wanted to make sure y’all and the animals are all ok! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
that fence is awesome, ur herd has met their match. I bet it would be buffalo hardy as well. Be proud of yourself, this is a huge project!
I am impressed
Why is it I never tire of watching your videos. The aerial shot was really good, showed how big this task is and it looks great. Awesome job.
Nothing short of amazing, in my opinion, of your ‘one man band’.
Taylor, I love your work ethic and I love listening to you explain to us exactly what you’re doing. So sorry your equipment gave out on you especially when you’re all geared up to get it finished. It definitely is looking super wonderful and I am proud of you for the fine job you are doing. I love the cattle in the background walking back-and-forth as if to check out the job you’re doing is going to be good as well as they are very curious to what you’re doing.
I truly love the very beginning of your video with the sunrise and the scenery of your farm. And also, the sunset of your video is a Tyler Ranch with the setting of the sun, which is so beautiful, and the magnificent sunset, and the cattle mooing in the background❣️😊♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Super inspiring FTR! I love your welding videos.
This is a master class for free. Thanks Tyler.
You can save a lot of time if you use 2-7/8 for the posts. Then cut a bunch of 4 inch long pieces of 2-7/8 that have a saddle on one end and are flat on the other in your shop. Use 2-3/8 for the rails. The 2-3/8 will slip right into the 4 inch long pieces. This will save a lot of grinding and fitting because the 2-3/8 don't have to be exactly the length between the posts and you don't have to worry about saddles being skewed. You get a perfect fit which makes welding easier.
Nice job looks good I wish I had oil pipe in my area
Your videos are such a great reference resource. I know I'll be following your channel for years 😊
I use a triple outlet and plug it into the one extension cord.
Great job as always.
Fence is coming along nicely! Your doing an AWESOME job Tyler!
NO small job. This is going to look great. Thank you for sharing.🐂
I'm not a wielder Tyler but I have seen many round pipes just flattened on the end and wielded to another round pipe and that might be a lot easier and less time consuming. But I can see where your method probably makes a MUCH stronger joint - Nothing like doing it right to start with. Nice work.
10 out of 10 for considering efficiency of your time use, most people don't think of that.
Great job and thank you for the tips !
Along with stick welding, everyone should learn how to gas weld too, just for the experience! lol great video again sir.!
Good Morning, Tyler and Callie! Working on the Pipe Fence! You make this look easy! Great Learning Experience! Really a Great Video to Watch! I enjoyed this Experience ! Thank-you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It’s unfortunate, but the process still looks great. The instruction was well explained, and I appreciate that very much!
It looks great! You’re a great teacher. I tried welding many years ago (just once, just had an opportunity to try it out of curiosity). It’s harder than it looks, you make it look so easy. This just shows all your years of experience and only doing your best work. Thanks for sharing!
It looks pretty hot there. It’s in the high 90’s and high humidity here in New York State.
I worked with the boilermaker welders and tried welding in their school once. My boss decided I was much more important with a pen in my hand than with stick welding. The QA Superintendent also told him he wouldn't have a job if I had not come along. I got a dollar an hour raise.
@@screddot7074 lol, what did you end up doing? Do you weld now? If so, how do you like it?
I took a Welding Class at college as an elective- there were only 2 girls in the class- we were both in the Equine program - my best welds were always oxceyacetalyne - but also learned MIG &TIG - I took it mainly because I knew I'd used it on a farm if needed -
Looks good. Just a thought, if you started at the other end you can walk through the fence as you build it. If you carry on from the gate end you will have to go over the fence or walk around the whole fence line.
Opening is great …teaching time management and tricks of trade. But I have to say for the aging “we get our exercise” walking by just forgetting where we put things and go from room to room in search‼️🤣
Was just going to come over and get your cobler cookie and my lap top but i can wait till tomorrow if your busy or tired
Thanks Tyler, a great video. 😊
FTR, thanks for the fence build video.have a blessed Thursday
Another good day. Enjoy as you explain the process.
Have another great day.
That’s a Forever fence! Good job! ❤
As always, another awesome video 😊
I enjoyed the drone shots.
I did welding shopclass in highschool as well in Europe and it was the same deal. Stick welding the first 6 months.
Great tips. Nice to see some aerial shots again
You are an efficiency expert. Good work.
The fence is looking great a lot of work but when u finish it will be there for every great job as usual.
My husband is a welder (50+ years), and he really appreciates your welding! He is very picky and thinks you are very, very good! The fence is going to look great when it is done! Will you be painting it????
When you make your first cut slide your template down the pipe to make your second cut and eliminate the bandsaw cut. Then you cut 2 times rather than 3 and you'll save even more time. 5, 10, 15 seconds with a bandsaw adds up and you save your blade and tool for another project. Looking good though and excited to see the final result. Good luck.
You do good work Tyler really enjoy your TH-cam channel
Thanks for the video, always enjoy watching!
Man! You do such nice work! 👍
Nice job so far! 🤩. I bet you'll be so glad you took the extra time to make this a good & study fence when you move cattle in the months & years to come!
GREAT JOB TYLER
Fairly coming along. Great job. 👌👌👌👌💕
Ha I enjoyed this one much.. your jig to mark the pipe that fits the circular posts was fun.. thanks..
You are the best God bless you
Tyler, I love watching your projects. So I grew up around rice fields in the south and in the fall there was always the migration in of birds/waterfowl. I assume you see the same thing in California. This is off topic but it's a fond memory for me.
Gret job Tyler!
MAD SKILLS!!
We had an oil lease on our farm so up til they tore every thing down and made a field out of my home place the corral was still up and strong! Looks really good!
You're video's help a lot , thank you for your advice an support
Thank you for sharing.
❤ I really like the added drone footage. Guess Calie has the day off?
Excellent video! Thanks!
