About a hundred thousand guys would be grateful if you posted your macros in the centroid cnc forum. 😃😃

how did you do that ATC routine ???
Is there a way you can share that script so i can narrow it to a small iso30 box on the side of my table and set XY locations for each T#?
I need to wire my ATC drawbar to relay still, but i would like to do this as im not going to have a generic ATC on my Mill. Much more time.

Nice work, Can you share your macro's?

Nice work. What kind of rapids do you get on your stepper driven machine? What is the latest version of CNC12 that you are running? Are you willing to share your macros to look at?

Great job! I just got a an older prs and have it up and running with non atc spindle. My hats off to you on the atc!

This is great work and a lot of time has gone into your thinking about safety features and spindle upgrades. I'm surprised you still have an open loop system given the complexity of everything else.

Great work, I have an Avid 4896 with an S30C and running Centroid, and also have closed-loop NEMA34 steppers on all axes. But I am still doing "manual" tool changes by pressing the blue button on my gantry-mounted solenoid, so setting up a "proper" ATC function is my next big upgrade. I like your drop-off dust shoe, this is similar to how Shop Sabre does it. I might go that route, or I might design a dust shoe like Marius Hornberger where the shoe moves up and down to a) allow for tool changes, and b) to allow the brushes at the bottom of the shoe to always be in contact with the cutting surface so dust collection is way more effective. Anyway, great work and if there is anything you might be willing to share -- macros, schematics, whatever -- please let us know, including whatever reasonable costs you'd like to ask for :-) . Thanks much

Hi Carl, I am just about to start placing orders for my CNC setup which is exactly like yours. Avid 4896, Closed Loop NEMA 34 with the S30C. I was planning on running Mach 4 since Avid offers it but after doing some research I am leaning towards Centroid. Would you be willing to chat with me about your experiences with this setup as it will be similar to mine?

@@jacobguilbert5312 sure I wouldn't mind chatting, but just FYI I didn't really evaluate Mach 4 so I won't be much help in comparing / contrasting it with Centroid. Since writing my initial post, I have delved into writing Centroid macros for automated tool changes and found the coding to be clunky and gives unpredictable results often, even when using Centroid's own sample macros verbatim. so that's been frustrating.

Im looking to buy an Avid 60120 pro machine and doing research on the acorn and found you. I already have an S30 spindle and some clearpath steppers and hope to get to where you are eventually. Are you willing to share or license the scripts you amde to make this work. Also since its your script woudl need to mimic all your sensor locations and scheme. Great job and this gives me hope..

hello, well done for your work. i would also like to learn how to create macros on my acorn cnc. can you tell me how you learned? thank you

Looks great. What tool touch off device are you using?
Any chance you’d be willing to share the scripts for tool length measurement?

I have a very similar setup with the S30 ATC spindle, tool rack, and the need to park a dust shoe before a tool change. I have a Mach3 macro that does this very similar to yours. I am considering a switch from Mach3 to Centroid but this macro is holding me back. Would you be willing to share / sell this macro?
