The only fault with Hoyt was how he got so little screen time to actually develop into something great. After the death of Vaas, the creators obviously rushed the final act way too much in order to tie all loose ends together and finish the story as quickly as possible - and I do believe Hoyt (and even Buck) deserved their proper place in the game and more dialogues and appearances. I actually adore this guy to no end. So sad to see that receive little to no coverage and so few fans as a whole. So many things could have been done with his character. I still love him, though. Easily my favest Afrikaner villain.

Vaas is amazing, but give some likes to Hoyt because my fucking gosh he's charming, calm, and is clever. Come on he's friendly on the outside, but on the inside he's insane. Unlike Vaas he tends keep his total insanity level inside. Heck he even shows a calming pleasure side, which can be creepy.

Vaas was amazing because of his crazyness, insanity, dialouges ,hairstyle .....and it was totally lost in hoyt....he was a good villain , but got lost in front of the great vaas....

This being who, if the promotional movies are anything to go by, would force someone to kill their friend and then laugh about it. That is what Vaas was shown to be and what he was whenever we saw him or heard his voice EXCEPT for the scene right after the flamethrower mission(you know the one) when he is talking with Hoyt. In that one scene he still has his personality and even makes a joke or two but that one scene still proves that Hoyt was somehow able to tame that insanity enough to work for him. If he hadn’t done that, Vaas probably would have killed him much earlier. Long story short, the reason I like Hoyt better than Vaas is because Hoyt was able to tame that psychopath.

Hoyt very calm and business orientated. He's much evil. Even Citra manage to manipulate that white boy to take him down.

Vaas is a stupid person and a drug junkie. Fails to kill Jason repeatedly. Hoyt able to tame him by giving him drugs. That's why he work for Hoyt.
