Yeah i usually on average get 40,000 to 80,000 silver Lions per game depending on how many kills I get typically you want to go for player -controlled vehicles send they will earn you more XP/SL but its also nice to add in a few AI Control ships as well since they are very easy to kill

One thing I was wonder, is there any reason for taking less than maximum ammo? In ground it can really help prevent being ammo racked, but in naval I haven't noticed it making any difference but that could just be that the ships I have (British 4.7 and lower) are notably vulnerable to damage to the ammo rack or something.
@@KicKassiday It doesn't seem to matter for 4.7 British destroyers or coastal vessels (I've never lost a coastal vessel to ammo explosion), it may be worth trying with other nation's though. British tanks are prone to ammo burns perhaps their ships are too?

Hey there! I totally get your frustration with the War Thunder SL economy. It can be tough. But guess what? I have a trick that might help you out! Interesting video and you bring up some good tips. Though your basically using a heavy cruiser the Pennsacola? You don't really mention that important info. 10 8 inch guns at 5.3 is pretty strong, in arguably the best tree in the game. While at 5.0 you have a glut of light cruisers and destroyers Target priority will vary from what I understand and it is hard to even guess what ship you are facing out there. I am sure this gets easier overtime, but the pretense of the video is someone fairly ignorant to botes. Those subtleties are probably pretty important to mention. I haven't ever played much yet and took a long while off, and these things I struggle with myself especially if I have my 5.0s the detroit and moffett, shooting the 6.0 spam not always the best idea especially at range. (Helena, Pittsburg, Brooklyn, Baltimore, Graf Spre, Prinz Eugen, and much less if you use an inferior nation. Tons of helpful tips and congrats on the views, seems to be gaining a lot of traction.
Yes, thank you feedback! The video is obviously not all inclusive, but I feel like there are a couple of nuggets in there to be learned. War Thunder is always a work in progress for me, and I learn a lot from my live viewers. I think what I was most proud of in that video was going 9 straight wins. Hard for any team or ship. Thanks for the comment.
@@KicKassiday That blows my mind you are able to string together wins like that! Like maybe if you had at least 1 platoon mate, as it is impossible to watch 2 caps with one person, in most cases. But also though it is even more stress in an already stressful enough game. lol Who knows though. This looks more controllable than the planes or ground forces.
Nope and that’s because I’m not super clear on which ones to use. Mostly I just use armor piercing. The thought being, on my part, get the round in so it can do the most damage inside. I have watched a lot of videos on this and it seems opinions change a lot every update. Thanks for the comment.
Depending on what you have, generally HE is always good against everything, crew and components. You also set a shit ton of fire, but you don't do any internal damage if you don't have larger guns than what you're shooting at. APBC against battleships and heavy cruisers, might work against light cruisers. SAP against everything below heavy cruisers. HE against everything below destroyers. I roll SAP most of the time to ammo rack or for larger opponents I disable their guns then go for HE to just watch them BUUURN.
if a ship is directly facing you, use HE to destroy the deck if you need to take out weapons, dont have AP, or dont have anything that can pen a heavier ship, use HE, also try to take out the bridge and rudders. do those of youre up close, otherwise you're kinda screwed, best to try and avoid those open water situations if you can while youre in light ships when a ship is broadside to you, use AP and shoot just so slightly below the waterline to ammo rack. generally, shoot where the most primary guns are located and look at the shell impact cam to see where the ammo racks are as a destroyer, for destroyers, you might wanna consider replacing HE for time fused shells because they get you soo much more sl, but deal slightly less damage
HE for low caliber secondaries (under around 70mm) to smash PT boats, they arent gonna do much against big ships anyway. Use HE against light bluewater ships like destroyers and some light cruisers, on battlecruisers and battleships use APHE/SAPHE
One good tip is to wait atleast 30 seconds after the game starts to avoid being the one focused by the entire enemy team

Right off the bat on the video about the gunners. No matter what I set my gunners to they don’t fire in battle, only in test sail.
Wow, really? Definitely work for me. Thing that sucks about them is they are super inaccurate.
Ah, took ship into test sail and realized this DD has only 1 single cannon besides its main battery, placed aft of the ship, that would explain it
