Ngl the IJN Mutsuki doesn't get enough recognition. I can't tell you how much fun I had in the early BRs, much more fun than in other nations' early naval trees. Mutsuki isn't the biggest in the sea (pun maybe intended), but she pulled her weight every time and secured at least one kill every tim I too her out for a spin. I'll grace everyone with a story: about two months before this comment was created, I was in naval RB with the IJN Mutsuki and she was the last ship I could use. My team was in the latter part of our game, and only the best of our team and the best of their team was left. I sailed over to one of the outer tow CPs on the map and capped it, then swerved to enter the middle of the battlefield. While I was in that CP, I had dropped three or four naval mines inside of the CP's circle. I was in the middle of the battlefield now and had killed an attacking destroyer, and I looked back at the CP that I had just capped to see a pretty big destroyer rush into it. A moment later, though, the destroyer exploded and I got a kill. The game ended in our favor not too long after. Needless to say, my faith in naval mines is restored, and I will never NOT have fun in the IJN Mutsuki. She's such a blast!
All class mentioned from an historical stand point are interesting but from a gameplay point of view in Warthunder they will add almost nothing new to what we already have.
i don't think that anything older than the kuma class or mutsuki class would be any good in game, there is a lot of other more interesting japanese destroyers that could be added

Good luck trying to get your hands on a Kiyoshimo everyone. For unless you bought the pre-order IJN naval pack you cant see it in the game, let alone obtain it in anyway shape or form
The Type 5's 75mm is incredibly weak, especially after hullbreak was all but removed from naval, so it doesn't have a "lot of firepower" like you put it. It's one of the weaker ships around there. The Type K subchasers also don't all play similarly, the dual 40mm's are vastly better than the 8cm and let the K-3 and K-7 play much more aggressively while also generally being blatantly better. Pointing out Mutsuki won the Destroyer triathlon when it's still worse than Frunze and the Type 1924 Leopard by a wide margin also just shows how incorrectly those were rated. And, calling the Japanese 127mm quick-firing when it has 7rpm as opposed to America's 127mm@22rpm and Germany's 127mm@18rpm... Yeeeah, no. Saying Akizuki can "help with repairs" when that's not even a mechanic in naval, saying Hyuga has a "peculiar armor arrangement" when Gaijin's model of it is entirely wrong and needs to be fixed... Come on. Do you guys need someone to double-check the naval scripts for you? I'd happily do it for free, some of this doesn't make much sense and it's misinforming the players about a mode that's already unrepresented and confusing for newer players.

Syonan is a nightmare to play : spawning far away (at destroyers spawns) from action while Bruce says that she needs to be close to be efficient. So you get it : you are an easy pray for enemy destroyers spawning in front of you. Please take it back to coastal fleet spawn points, there are many ships able to handle it (Freccia, PG-02, Albatros, Jaguar, etc).
you know what would be a cool event? The Navies that could have been. Catamaran destroyers, hydrofoil cruisers, hovercraft battleships, full deck submarine aircraft carriers, iceberg aircraft carriers. all those far out designs that never left the drawing board.
I can't wait for the Yamato.It won't be that strong though, it's most armored place is the citadel, the other parts of the ship can barely stop heavy MGs. The guns are another story.

The Hyuga must be the biggest powercreep Gaijin has ever added to Naval, and perhaps the whole game. The Brooklyn and the Graf Spee were OP when they arrived, but the Hyuga is in a complete different league. 12x 350mm cannons when most enemy BBs have 8x 300mm is too much. Good thing is, with Hyuga already here, that means we are just 1 step away from BBs like Scharnhorst
Loving video, especially because you skipped the pain the player has to go through to get the bbs. All the Sendai class are horrific and the Ikoma is even worse. 4 primary barrel one less accurate than the other. After researching the apcbc for it i immediately switched back to he, at least the x ray view of the ship appears (thanks to the splash damage). Secondaries are the only offensive means by far. The real fun of the entire tech tree is the Suzuya, the Mogami and the Tone. Those are truly fun to play.

I noticed on the IJN Settsu that on top of the main turrets are a couple of sailors with AA guns. I assume these sailors dont stay there when the main guns are in use? I cant imagine the damage to to their poor sailors bodies if so close. I must look to see if other countries use this configration.
I'm a huge fan of the Japanese navy and I play it a lot in War thunder It would be awesome if there could be a video about the development of the ships in real life and I think the development for the in-game vehicle would also be really interesting: model, coding etc. The process of how a vehicle is researched and developed to be implemented into war thunder would provide a lot of players for the amount of work and attention to detail Gaijin does with every vehicle.

The Japanese torpedoes didn't produce air bubbles so there shouldn't be a trail to spot.

I noticed on the IJN Settsu that on top of the main turrets are a couple of sailors with AA guns. I assume these sailors dont stay there when the main guns are in use? I cant imagine the damage to to their poor sailors bodies if so close. I must look to see if other countries use this configration.

I'm a huge fan of the Japanese navy and I play it a lot in War thunder It would be awesome if there could be a video about the development of the ships in real life and I think the development for the in-game vehicle would also be really interesting: model, coding etc. The process of how a vehicle is researched and developed to be implemented into war thunder would provide a lot of players for the amount of work and attention to detail Gaijin does with every vehicle.

Most likely. After ise class comes Nagato and tham the Yamato class. Ofc there are sister ships that can be added and we are missing the Fuso and Kongo.
