    I feel like I would LOVE, personally, a full in depth guide on HOW to play Slaanesh battles. Like...a full on tutorial on chariots, how they work, just...just WATCHING someone play through the battles. Because I've tried with N'kari and I struggle immensely with his playstyle. Watching you run around with like 25% health on your units and still get victories is baffling me and I would love to learn how you can do that with.

      @anatoliypetrenko1365 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree! You can learn how to play chariots in skirmish game with ai(1-2 battles will enoght).Try to atack chariots from the mountain to the bottom, then they inflict much more damage. And don't attack uphill of course, it works in the opposite direction :). Also try to seduct enemy cavalry or kill it first, because chariots stops when attack big enteties. Slaanesh chariots very fast and the best in the game! Except JabbaSlice ofc :)

      @@anatoliypetrenko1365 Thats good info! I've been playing this game for a while now but I would still not consider myself that amazing. Got started in Warhammer 2 and played sporadically so I'm still getting used to just playing the game, how each race works, how to make use of Cav and Chariots. Cav and Chariots in particular always feel rougher to use, with chariots in particular since sometimes they just SHRED people and sometimes...even when I'm following guides, it feels like the chariots are basically worthless. They push people around and do nothing else. And they require so much attention that its hard to bounce back and forth with the REST of the army. Especially with Slaanesh and how they play. So I'd love just a full guide on slaanesh cause it feels like the sort of campaign you make actions, let it run for like 2 seconds, pause to adjust, play again, pause to adjust. Otherwise you'd need like 6 screens and 14 eyes to manage.
      Or maybe I'm just bad, LOL.

      Try to play on casual difficulty, Choose marauders and create group(ctrl + g), then start attack, and manipulate just Nkari and chariots. Thats easy, be sure.

      Melee-focused chaos factions like Azazel or Archaon or Kugath or Skarbrand are all the same in their battle style - form a blob and let the enemies die against it, while using your magic/cavalry to distract/slay fast/dangerous enemy units.
      With Nkari it's different. You hide your melee and use your fast units - Nkari, chariots, seekers, seduced cavalry - to do HORSE SANDWICHES. This tactic works since Rome1 or even since Shogun 1 and Medieval 1. You run around the battlefield isolating 1 enemy unit at a time, then feign attack with 1 fast unit - so the enemy braces in that direction - and then you attack it in the rear with another unit, and then with the first unit, once they turn to deal with rear attackers.
      This works EXCELLENTLY for Nkari, because all his fast units are Devastating Flankers, and he himself has regen when pursuing fleeing enemies, so he can pretty much take the brunt of an attack, then chariots smash the enemy's backs and the enemy routs, and Nkari kills the fleeing and regenerates. Rinse, repeat.
      For sieges - run around capping points, then once they leave their main square unattended - go there, cap it, and win on points. Works every time.

    Dude... what a strong start..
    I had a very successful campaign with Nkari, in legendary difficulty, using evey single mechanic available..
    I was blitz seducing dark elves in my way north with cults, forcing vassalage through lizardman territory in the South, and wrecking havoc in bretonnia just for the sake of it.
    But the start was very very griding.
    What took me 30 turns to acomplish with lots of back and forths, you did it in no time...
    My respects..
    One side note: i noticed that you vassalized very few factions in your path..
    I vassalized every single one of them.
    That made me very unpopular with everyone arround me. However, financialy speaking, that was very good once I had a lot of vassals. Also, my vassals armies started to stomp everyone arround up until norsca, not because they were strong, but they were too many.
    AI seems much more competent in raising armies and handling their finances because of their cheats..

    • @theartofsavescumming
      @theartofsavescumming  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think what you point out is that vassals are really important. However, if you dont have the military to maintain those vassals it will fall apart. You want vassals , just not a lot of them too quickly. You need to be able to build economy and to do that you need settlements.

    I love this channel! And this guide is good and simple for an experienced player! But.. When I started playing as N'kari on legendary, I usually had problems with field battles and sieges of large and especially small settlements. And I agree with Ishmael about "How to slaanesh army work". And also I highly recommend to add N'kari magic build for newcomers and common lord shadow build on chariot, because its really strong gameplay, when you remove lord(9 lvl+, with shadow pit) and ressurect his at the far end of the map after 5 turns, and on this feature you can build strong strategies for world domination. And in the end I offer to add army composition for earlygame, midgame and lategame, with explanian how its work. May be you can record video something like "N'kari.........battles... part 2". Sorry, for my Eng. Like, subscribe, comment x3! With love from Belarus! :)

Now i switched to not fighting "logically" but just relentless. As slanesh my goal is not to kill the enemy. My goal is to break the enemy. Make them flee, make them cry for their mothers. Do everything you can to build up terror and crush their moral -> since then i can win battles that are rediciously overwhelmig for my army

    Took me a lot of savescumming to figure out how to do the sieges. The first one I just sent the cav far away to abuse the enemy being slow and then captured the points with no trouble, the Cothique siege was much harder until I realised daemonettes could break the gates quite fast and the marauders are much better than I was giving them credit, each unit getting 130+ kills while the cav took the points from the other side.

    Its interesting how things went here. (I played this campaign about 20 turns before I watched this video. (was not exactly looking for this, just wanted to know how some slaanesh mechanics work, as description in game is sometimes a bit vague.)
    In my game Alariel failed her attacks and Orange Dark Elf and both of them were not very strong. Orcs where not on Ulthuan at all, Yvresse was rather large when I got into war with them. On the Breton side, they got smashed by Orcs and Chaos Warriors, so they +Musillion held those coastals and were busy fighting over there. In the meantime on the western continent Morathi gobbled up tons of land and is currently Rank 2. Purple Vampire coast on my game has just become my first Ally and likes me quite a bit.
    Is any of that very uncommon?
    (I'm not looking to play perfectly optimal, just want to try out all the Slaanesh mechanics. Also, my first time playing Warhammer 3, last played Warhammer 2 several months ago.)

    Can you make a similar video on seducing into vassals? Is it viable strategy, cause as far as I know, if you make someone vassal through corruption, not force, they can't leave you?
    So is it viable to have maybe 2 provinces (sword of Khain) and make everyone vassals on the donut?
    Also how would you recommend leveling N'Kari? I am always tempted to go full on fight tree, but it always feels like it's a bit of a waste.
    In general can you make a video that goes more into the vassal system, it's viability and what armies should you be fielding?

    • @theartofsavescumming
      @theartofsavescumming  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am working on this very video. I am not sure that it is "impossible" for them to break away but you can see the seductive influence go down. I assume that this means that if it ever reaches zero that they can break away but I have never actually allowed that to happen. Mostly because there are incentives to do things to your vassals that will keep the seductive influence high.

    So, N'kari player here, and you have interesting way to play, but i think you have some missed opportunities and some wasted money potential, so: On 1 turn, you didn't pop the manifestation right away, and you summoned disciple army too early on 1 turn. I usually save this to attack the major settlement of Cothique right away with 2 lords and almost full stack of disciple armies. Also i like to subjugate both cothique and chrace at their minor settlements for devotee, vassals and buffer states reason. I am summoning the disciple army at turn 3 iirc, then i capture Cothique, move to Yvresse border, spread the corruption like crazy by maxing out corruption skills and edicts. So then i give all units to my second lord (herald with shadow lore), and she would summon another disciple army to attack Yvresse with 4 lords and crazy amount of units. You can join war from minor greenskin faction and they would give you a decent amount of money that way. And then you can create an Yvresse vassal when you will attack the greenskin faction itself at minor settlement(at port to keep them or another minor to tank the Tyrion hit). Also at 1 turn i like to demolish the cult building to get devotees and get second cultist for spreading gifts and then as second hero in the army. After capturing and vassalising Tyrion (ideally not in the shrine), i split my 2 armies to conquer Lothern super fast and get SoK when starting DE will take it (around turn 23-26) and then at that point i conquered almost all of the Ulthuan, while spamming disciples like crazy.
    P.S. Join wars for mone

      So at 12:48 you say you need garrisons to protect them from attacks, while you could use vassals as buffer states and still get some money and potential units from them (lothern sea guard)

    • @theartofsavescumming
      @theartofsavescumming  ปีที่แล้ว

      1.) "On 1 turn, you didn't pop the manifestation right away" Does not take effect until the next turn. Look at you movement- next time you pop it, doesnt change. Conversely, if you do this with Skarbrand's movement manifestation it does take effect same turn.
      2.) "and you summoned disciple army too early on 1 turn. I usually save this to attack the major settlement of Cothique right away with 2 lords and almost full stack of disciple armies. " The purpose of this is to take the province on turn 1. Major settlements dont need reinforcements for wins as N'Kari, he is so fast he can solo the town square.
      3.) I think you are overestimating the value of vassals in the early game.

Cothique vassalage is optional as i said and also you can try to ambush bait Cothique army. That usually works well. But you can save almost full stack of disciple armies to protect your starting province from surprise attack from Allarielle.
      3)No i don't.
