"driving a car like this must be what it feels like to be an attractive woman" - such a hilarious and accurate statement. I love my '24 6mt supra. These cars are great for what they are and I think you're right the initial controversy will be forgotten as these cars age gracefully.
I've always heard that signaling in roundabouts is unnecessary because drivers outside the roundabouts won't know what my signal means unless they saw me enter the roundabout. Consider a roundabout with four evenly-spaced exits with a tree or shrubbery in the center. Low cars like this Supra may be difficult for a driver approaching the roundabout entry opposite to the low car to see. Also, in my area, I have seen drivers put on a right turn indicator only to not take the exit on their right, but rather continue driving straight. They just initially went to the right before going straight because that is how roundabouts work, resulting in their idea to signal right when it was not appropriate. I think the best thing you can do is just signal right as you approach your exit to the roundabout to provide a courtesy to other drivers, since it is the least-confusing thing to do. However, law does not require it.

I recently acquired a GR Corolla circuit addition a few days ago and prior to that I’ve only ever driven about 50 miles in a manual transmission car from friends and family. (If anyone has any tips on how to drive manual well I’m all ears! I feel like I’m 16 again relearning how to drive 😅)
Picked up my first manual car ever at the beginning of the year, it also was a GR Corolla. Honestly just take your time with everything, I feel like I’m still learning even after 8500 miles. I personally like to keep IMT on all the time, it just makes my experience smoother and easier. I’ve learned to not rush and just take your time, if someone behind you gets mad… it’s whatever, but yeah man you got it man. Just keep practicing and driving. Good luck!
When you're new, to start off, you just rev to 2k, then let clutch out slowly while maintaining constant gas to start off. This will teach you to start off purely with clutch control. When you get more advanced, you will be able to give it more gas at the biting point as you let the clutch out and this will allow you to start off faster.
I like to use the rev hang as like a timer to be able to get into the next gear and clutch out to make my shifts super smooth. Not sure how long it is in the GR Corolla.
It's great that you are signaling on a roundabout but I think that also when exiting, you should signal. For example if you want to take the 3rd exit indicate left and before taking the exit, indicate right. If you need to take the first exit, indicate right immediately, if you are taking the exit on your right!
I got the 45th anniersary one too. Although it was on display at an autoshow before I got it and has some scratches on the seats, but I fall in love with the color at first sight. Especially when the sun shines right on it!
Love the interior and as you mentioned, I love how it isn't screen galore. It still has buttons for the infotainment, the iDrive wheel is present, and there are PHYSICAL climate controls!!
Don't think that's what they mean when they say signal in roundabout. I always will signal turning right right as I'm able to leave the roundabout so the traffic from that direction knows to go. I believe it's that way in Europe as well.
There are some countries in Europe where signaling is required for both scenarios. So signal left as long as you're not exiting, signal right when you want to take the next exit (or vice versa for LH drive countries).

I have a ‘21, you couldn’t give me a manual! The automatic is spot on!
29:20 Casual GR86 sighting.
Tell me you as a car manufacturer have befriended BMW without actually saying it.
Good mornin’! From TX
mornin'!
same here!
Same! but Good Night!
The steering wheel looks soo cheap and unsporty
I think what they hate BMW in this supra is because the reputation of beign some anonying troubles of BMW engines and also all folks literally wanted a 100% toyota develop car include the engine.
Anyone that has a supra or is knowledgable about them, are they reliable?
I have a MKV 6MT. Reliable as long as you do oil changes around 3-5k miles. These aren’t Toyotas from the 90’s which can go 10k miles between oil changes. There are plenty of guys at meet ups and the forums with 60k+ miles on their MKVs with no issues and even a lot of them tuned or with bigger turbos. Just keep up on the maintenance and you should be fine.
@@chrisginoc thank you
3:34 why would it be a six figure car if it was only toyota?
they would’ve had to develop their own turbo I6 and everything to go with it. higher development costs = higher msrp
@TopherDrives I still don't see a entry toyota sports car costing that.
Car companies have to make a profit for the sake of shareholders and shareholders don't care about "fun cars."
If Toyota had to spend engineering resources to develop an engine from the ground up, they would recoup those costs by pricing the car higher
@samh15 yeah but definitely not in 6 figures. No way
@@christopherrogers8316u must not know about the RCF track or the LC500 then. Top of,cars like the mk5 aren't cheap. Look at GR rolla prices, some are asking over 50k+ for them while having half the cylinders that mk5s have.
Wish the steering wheel didn’t look like a bongo
Nice BMW 😝
Who else thinks this car sounds like the Comet from GTA IV?
mustang gt can be had for 45k premium. no way this is comparable. considering toyota has been kind of bad lately with enthusiasts
No android auto in a 60k car is criminal
That steering wheel alignment looks so off lmao
goddamn cobra chickens making a mess...
If it was only a Supra. :(
I’ll stop calling it a bmw when supra fan bois stop getting lit about it 😂
All it needs is an exhaust...
