@robertduklus6555 its genuinely does feel similar to a mid range lexus interior. Its suoer comfy, clean, not a lot of plastic, and the plastic it does have doesnt feel cheap whatsoever. Its miles better than the old camry and this is honestly the best interior in toyotas lineup

Usually pov videos like this have a little extra noise than reality since the camera is better at picking up on certain engine tones, but that was genuinely impressive. Quieter than a lot of luxury cars I’ve seen in these videos.
Toyota's manual says EV mode is for slow cruising (less than 20mph) for scenarios like driving through a parking lot or area where you want to be quiet. When I was living just down the road from my office, I was able to use EV mode to slowly cruise down the back roads to the office without the engine kicking in at all.
Camry’s always been a rock solid car, nothing too crazy but it doesn’t try to me more than what it is, $45K is a bit pricey but the fuel economy is also a big plus with these cars. My dad has a slightly older one and he loves it, dead reliable and great fuel economy.
Cant belive we live in an era where people say 232 horsepower isn't a lot, haha. Thats more power than most V6's from the 90s and early 2000s. Man, my 1995 camry had like 140 horsepower. Got the job done though.
I have a 2002 Prius with the navi package, and I can tell you that Toyota has ALWAYS done great hybrid systems. Despite having a 13-second 0-60, the instant torque means it never feels dangerously slow, acceleration is Lexus smooth (especially up hills where a traditional automatic would be hunting for gears, the hybrid drive just smoothly revs up) and I'm getting high 30s/low 40s MPG in winter with the heat on. I even still use the OEM navigation, and it's still useful in 2024!
They have always given the Camry hybrid better power and NO CVT. I Wouldn't consider a Prius until they give it the planetary transmission like the Camry gets. Makes it more Tesla like when the electric kicks in
😮 What? The Camry and Prius have the same transmission. The engine in the Camry is 2.5 l instead of 2.0 and the Camry uses slightly more powerful electric motors. They use the same power split planetary transmission system.
Toyota going exclusively hybrid with this gen of Camry was such a smart choice. In my experience driving a lot of cars working at a used car dealership, their most recent gen of hybrid systems really is the best.
I recently purchased my Camry about 2 months ago. Heavy Metal FWD XSE premium(not the +). I wish I did just the tiniest more research because I knew it didn’t have the panoramic view monitor, I didn’t know the front monitor in general wasn’t going to be in that package, not that I needed it but it would’ve been nice. The arm and door creak is universal I noticed. I did a breakin oil change at around 2k miles and my mpg is a lot more smooth and pushing that 49-53mpg range. With a roadtrip from California to Alabama, I’m very content with my purchase.
19:09 agreed, I feel the same way about my Ioniq Hybrid. It’s the first time I’ve owned a car where my thought process towards a new car is 95% based on “does my car still run?” And before anyone replies to this and says “ooooh but Hyundai reliability!!!!!” It’s been bulletproof for the 3 years I’ve owned it so far, and I still have 2 more years of bumper to bumper if something does go wrong, and it’s fully built in Korea and doesn’t have a Theta II engine, meaning it avoids all the usual Hyundai pitfalls.
I had this exact car except FWD. Best car I've ever owned. I had to trade it because I actually had a need for a truck. But I wish I still had it because it is quite literally the perfect daily driver. The JBL is probably the best of any Toyota product. Never had any issue with panel rattles or anything for mine. Definitely picking this one over the base models of Lexus ES.
Excellent review. I was all but sold on getting either a Legacy Sport or XT Touring until I test drove a Camry XSE AWD. I was very impressed by how it drove and how comfortable I was sitting in it. My only concern is how good its AWD system is compared to Subaru’s which I believe is the best in the business.
Subaru's AWD is definitely better, but for most people the Camry's AWD will be sufficient. I would say that the hybrid system on the Camry paired with the eCVT compared to traditional ICE + regular CVT make the Camry a better driving experience and possibly a more reliable choice.
I simply love the Toyota Camry in that it's imo the perfect all-around car with some compromises here and there. You get the modern style that looks good every time, fantastic mileage, legendary maintenance in that you basically don't ever need to worry about it, a good amount of spacing around the comfy seats, and it's not a "luxury" car in that people wouldn't necessarily target it for theft and if you have wealth people won't think twice that you would have it driving that car so it's a nice low profile.
if anyone wants to test drive this car or drive it for a couple of days most rental car companies already have these. I was able to drive it for three days a couple months back. I rented it from enterprise and honestly, it was just so fun to drive it’s so quick it’s so fast. You don’t hear a thing because of the hybrid battery and it is actually very comfortable to drive long distances as well.

I wouldn't know about the road noise since I never drove the X trim Camrys, but it's way better than my old car lol. The Camry is the best family sedan. It has a quiet comfortable ride, decent powerful and reliable powertrain that returns good mpg, offers Awd and holds its value. The styling is less vanilla then years past. Will make a great commuter car for alot of trouble free miles. Much cheaper then a comparable Suv while offering similar interior and cargo room.

I've rented the base mode a couple of times now and that by itself is fantastic...I can only guess how awesome the higher trim is. Good chance of being my next car.
I have the 2025 xse with premium plus and also have the passenger door rattle when the bass hits. I've since added soundskin sound deadener on all four doors and wheel wells, this got rid of the door rattles on both the driver and passenger side, and got a lot quieter on the highway. It just made the car a much more enjoyable ride. I'm planning on downsizing to 17" wheels for more comfort in the coming weeks. The 19's ride fine but I think I'm at that age where I just want a smooth riding car lol
Looked at the prius and didn't like instrument panel in front of steering wheel as it's difficult to read with the steeering wheel in the way ,no matter where you move it ,and didn't come with a spare tire either, im now looking at something like this, i like this car ,it's very well put together with functionality, and style❤👍
6:20 soooooooooooo true interior design is not just about the materials usage. To me at least it's more about the dimensions and how well they come up together, the practicality and so on..
I’m glad Toyota’s really put effort into the styling part just as much as usefulness for this entire generation of their cars. Especially the interiors, Toyota’s slowly moving away from being the plastic galore and moving alongside Honda for interior styling. They had their exteriors pretty nailed down by the previous generation but the interior had some to be desired. This generation, the interior caught up to the exterior and their cars feel overall, just good without it feeling too cheap or creaky.
Toyota does have some pretty good audio systems. My 2017 Toyota Yaris is pretty great, for being like a $13,000 car. The bass is lacking, but it still hits you if you turn it up enough. Also my family's 2009 Toyota Camry is pretty good too. The bass is quite boomy in that car. (both cars being lowest trim)
Good luck. I hope the rumors aren’t true about the gps/infotainment system, where you have to pay a monthly fee after a year for it to continue to function.
I think the interior has a very premium feel and I absolutely love it. I wanted an 8th gen XSE V6 so bad but couldn't afford it. I do however, absolutely hate that steering wheel, it looks horrendous, like something out of an outdated Prius.
While technically this is a "9th gen" Camry, when you look at the stats, it's really an 8.5 gen. If I remember right, the outside dimensions and interior are basically the same. That being said, for the 9th gen, this is the best color combo and those sport wheels are gorgeous.
Yes Chris, The Camry LE AWD on 16" rims will offer a cheaper, smoother and more efficient drive. If money is no object, a Crown Signia XLE is available for the price of this loaded XSE.
I would like to see you hold the same standard of critique for cheaper luxry car models like the A class pertaining to build quality and fit and finish. I feel like nobody talks about it, but a lot of new "luxury" cars are way worse built solidity wise in the interior than Toyota, Mazda, Honda are and I think most reviewers fail to properly cover the differences.
13:36 a Saturn Astra 😯 I should mention that EV mode is super helpful in my Insight. It doesn't have the limits of speed that a toyota hybrid system has, so if you only have a mile or two to go and you know you have enough battery power to make it on electric only, it's a good way to save a few drops of gas.
I would much rather buy a $50k ES300h (even though it has FWD and doesn't have all the tech this has) than a $45k Camry. This is one of those cars that makes more sense in lower trims than it does in higher trims.
100% agree. 45k for a Camry is ludicrous. I paid 45k for an 2024 ES350 with tech and premium package last year. Camry is not as comfortable nor as refined as the ES even in this generation.
I definitely agree with you but I just like Camrys design more than Lexus es. That car has looked the same since forever. I do agree that even the full loaded Camry ain’t worth $45k. Should be at least $35k-$37k or even lower

dang, it got some nice wheels
Great review.
I’ve always wondered about the electric mode button too on a hybrid. Makes sense on my phev but why bother with it in a regular hybrid 🤔?
I would like to see you hold the same standard of critique for cheaper luxry car models like the A class pertaining to build quality and fit and finish. I feel like nobody talks about it, but a lot of new "luxury" cars are way worse built solidity wise in the interior than Toyota, Mazda, Honda are and I think most reviewers fail to properly cover the differences.
What’s the main difference you feel between this generation hybrid and the 4th generation?
I just bought the 2024 Prius Prime XSE,…but I like the tachometer in the Camry - I might miss that.
My biggest problems with the Prius is I hate the steering wheel and the dashboard. It just feels compromised and ugly.
The wheel size isn't the problem, it's the lack of sidewall. There is definitely room for some more meat there, not sure why they left such a big gap
13:36 a Saturn Astra 😯
I should mention that EV mode is super helpful in my Insight. It doesn't have the limits of speed that a toyota hybrid system has, so if you only have a mile or two to go and you know you have enough battery power to make it on electric only, it's a good way to save a few drops of gas.
less efficient in winter? thats odd considering the heater puts no strain on the engine like the a/c does
Those elbow and seat cracking sounds are insane, it’s brand new…
I work for Lexus this car is by far a better option than the es250 in every way if you're buying a ES350 that is totally different
Are the rattles much improved compared to the previous years? Is it finally like Lexus quality
Definitely not getting 44mpg in mind. I don't even hit 40mpg. But love it either way
good looking car! love the wheels.
What are the two red dots on top of the steering wheel that blink?
How’s throttle response on 25 Camry. My 18 Camry se is so awful with throttle response.
Since when Camrys became this desirable 😍
My 2007 Toyota Avalon Limited and 2000 Honda CR-V EX has a full size spare tire from the factory.
I just love Toyota and honda steering wheels
Honda more ngl. The new Toyota steering wheel kind of puts me off
what are those 2 red dots for, near the center of the steering wheel?
That cocoonish passengercowl should’ve been reduced by about 2/3rds. I can’t imagine anyone liking the way it is now.
Camry is not as comfortable nor as refined as the ES even in this generation.
note this is the top trim WITH OPTIONS. if you just get the xle or xse with no extra extras. it more reasonable
@@christopherallard1693even the top trim with all options should be no higher than where the ES starts. This example is about 7k too expensive.
@@christopherallard1693 I agree! That's why I'm specifically calling out this $45k Camry :)
I definitely agree with you but I just like Camrys design more than Lexus es. That car has looked the same since forever. I do agree that even the full loaded Camry ain’t worth $45k. Should be at least $35k-$37k or even lower
