the thing i hate is how lesserafim’s bad performance act is getting so much more clout than ateez??? Can we hype up the ones that actually took it to the next level and made coachella unforgettable. their hardwork was showing unlike lesserafim , it felt like they didn’t put any extra effort to perform at the standard set for coachella. i feel so bad about it now , lesserafim is overshadowing ateez for all the wrong reasons
I definitely believe Ateez deserves more recognition for their coachella performance and that everyone is talking about lesserafim for the wrong reasons. However, I personally believe they did put in the effort for their performance. It's just that some of their vocal skills couldn't keep up.
People prefer negativity unconsciously. If positivity gained more engagement, then ktubers would post them. But it doesn't pay to talk about ATEEZ'

Trust me, if ATEEZ woke up tomorrow and decided to become sloppy, they would be on the front cover of all Korean news sites.
Even the media is talking more about LSF than them, because they know that people like negativity rather than positivity.

The most unfortunate and upsetting thing for me, is lsf bad live performance overshadowed the iconic and immaculate performance ateez just gave, they always gave their all but they literally went insane in coachella since it's a special stage for them. I don't think it's that bad, they were praised by the media and had some viral tiktoks and tweets, sadly a lot of it were taken down by coachella due to copyrights since they used clips from the live stream. But their content reached over 12 million people since coachella so I guess they are doing fine. In the end of the day, people are always gonna gossip about the bad things anyway hahah

HYBE shouldn’t have let the girls perform at Coachella. Coachella itself should have reached out to 3rd Gen girl groups or even 3rd Gen boy groups to perform because all of 3rd Gen knows how to come up with a performance to engage with the audience with great stage performance! Blackpink had by far the best performance at Coachella. They weren't criticized for vocals or stage presence, not afraid to sing, even if their dances are easier, that's a good strategy. Aespa takes the silver because they had the best vocals, stable and powerful, but at the time their stage presence was lacking (I bet they could go now, and they would do much better)
Blackpink can't sing and dance. They needed hundreds of back up dancers to make them look good.

Some gg groups lack stage presence. Aespa has good vocals but watching their performances hurt my eyes. Blackpink has good rappers but their performances also hurt my eyes. It feels like they gathered random people and put them together.
This is exactly it. You can't impose higher standards for kpop idols because they are conditioned to not be the ultimate best. If they did, then a lot of groups should have top the charts and gained a stable career decades ago.
Kpop stans should just admit that a lot of these popular groups that get opportunities like these are popular for multiple reasons. Be it their visuals, fan service, their personality or their talent. Being invited in coachella is more of like a status thing than music tbh. Its a local music festival that gather large crowds with nothing in mind but to enjoy some booze.

Let's be real only Chaewon was decent. yunjin was pretty much shouting as well. Yelling on key isn't exactly singing. I've heard people say that Sakura used a back track but I can't really tell. To me, it was just boring. I would pick a bp coachella performance any day over this and that's saying something. Also, is it just me or does yunjin seem to be regressing in the vocal department? She was NOT this bad in her debut. Istg, look at her performance for stupid in love with max. She makes him sound like a vocal powerhouse it's actually embarrassing.
Anyway, I knew Kazuha and Eunchae would have 0 stage presence since for one they are very young to be thrust upon a large foreign stage like that and expected to carry it out like nothing. Secondly, most of them know they can't sing. KNetz aren't letting their glaringly obvious lack of skills slide. Moreover, I find it quite humorous that bp was being criticized to hell and back (they deserved it too) for having only enough stamina to carry through a coachella performance and not their own concert yet here we are with lsf not even being able to hold through that 💀. I'm trying my best not to be a complete jerk but this was so stupid. What is it with these big companies throwing their inexperienced groups on a foreign stage? Like at least let them have some experience under their belt before hanging them out to dry like that.
Aespa did so much better in my opinion. They were still lacking at the time due to them mostly never having performed in front of a real audience but they still weren't bad in any way. If they were to perform now, they would bring their A game for sure. I'm also surprised that no one is talking about Ateez, cuz man did they eat!
For idols opening their own agencies, I think the should only do it to manage themselves. To be very honest, I've seldom heard of idols actually having degrees to start a business venture like that. I know they don't have to di it alone at all and if they have a good enough team they're set, however, although possible, it doesn't sound so swell. Shouldn't you have some form of right educational background before all this? And this is before the futures of young kids fall in their hands.

I agree with all of your opinions except that you said Aespa was better at Coachella than Blackpink. Aespa are better vocalists than Blackpink for sure. No doubt about that. But their stage presence wasn't as good as Blackpink which is very important at music festivals along with good vocals. Blackpink had a better balance of vocals and hyping up the crowd and stuff.

AESPA is a vocal group. Their coachella performance was sonically pleasing out of all the groups, with AESPA's signature harmonies and iconic SM bridges. A lot of people think dead crowd means BAD performance which is not true. AESPA performed beautifully. But for a lot of you hyped up crowd answering "coachella are you ready?? " is more like "wow best performance" which shouldn't be the case. You can perform chill songs and have a good time like many western artists performing. Not everything have to be "shouting the rap parts", cursing, heavy band performance, beat drop songs. It's a MUSIC festival, not a HYPE festival.

Not screaming at the crowd and hyping up what most kpop stans call "stage presence". It's about MUSIC. Anyone can enjoy. What many ppl forget is that they weren't headlining or subheadlining (like LSF, ATEEZ, BP) . AESPA were SPECIAL GUESTS, performed only 6-7 songs. A lot of kpop stans don't understand this. So for a US debut, starting out, letting the world know who they are, they did AMAZING job. But everything got overlooked with toxic kpop stans comparing them. They had a small set like many growing artists. They did GREAT job for their debut in US after COVID.

Hey, not a fearnot but I think the hate Le Sserafim is receiving is a LOT. I don’t know when we forgot that a performance is more than JUST singing- it’s also stage presence and Le Sserafim has really good stage presence. The crowd was really hyped up.

I think aespa is vocally stronger, but a performance is not only about vocal techniques. BP is the stronger performer, and BP's cochella was a better performance.

I tend to believe Hybe stan are bunch of kids or teenagers.
Whenever they defended their faves you'll get silly arguments like "at least she's prettier than you", "at least she earns more money than you" or even "lets see you do this, sing and dance" 😂. At this rate they dont even care about singing quality anymore. They brag how Hybe idols are the best in the industry, charting everywhere, bragging about streaming. So gullible in believing popularity or number of streaming defines quality or talent.
They also defend other Hybe's ggs saying they are among the best singers in the industry. Little did they know, those ggs they mentioned have not been exposed to live singing with raw vocals without back track or AR. They brag about "live" singing from Korean tv broadcast or their official YT channel that has the word "live". They didnt know those clips have been heavily "polished" or "autotuned" for broadcasting purpose.

I watched the whole performance & the very 1st song they performed, they were already out of pitch, second, they were already gasping for air & its just gets progressively worse.
