We should not be trying to silence our opposition I disagree with him about gun control, and would argue strongly for gun control ( not abolition, I eat meat, of course I agree with hunting. I believe in one’s right to defend themselves, but an automatic weapon seems like drastic overkill! ). But it only through free expression of all points of view can reasonable conclusions be reached. Trying to clean up history solves nothing. People have different views on all issues concerning things like politics, gender, race, family. I am very “left” on all of this, but trying to cancel JK Rowling because I totally reject her point of view is wrong. She has the right to that point of view. I will defend her right to say what she believes.I just don’t agree, and will do my best to make sure she cannot impose that point of view. Cancelling people is wrong, counter productive and the beginning of a dictatorship. I totally agree with Kurt Russell’s stand on freedom of speech.
Yet the same people that condemn him for what he believes and have a problem with him not agreeing with their delusions are the same people that say “it’s only a character..it doesn’t portray the person he’s is in real life.” If the actor or actress is radical for all that’s woke.
