The CFOP method was invented by a number of people together. Some came up with OLL and PLL while some came up with F2L and Cross. Fridrich was simply a part of them and the one who popularized it.
Thus, I think it's better to drop her name as it would be disrespectful to those who joined her in the task.

Do you know what year Rene Schoof came up with the F2L Pairs idea/way to help solve the cube? Do you know of any other methods that pairs pieces during solving the cube? The reason for asking is that my younger brother put 2 pieces together to solve the cube back in 1980 or 1981. I remember him saying he 'doubles pieces up,' to solve the cube. I think he got this from instructions that came with the cube back then as far as I remember. He was about 9 or 10 at the time.

It's most widely practiced to refer to people who change the gender they identify as with their chosen one even when speaking of their deeds prior to it unless the individual specifically asks they be treated as distinct eras.
In a completely unrelated video, there's no more reason to address her changing the gender she identified as than there is if she changed her favorite color at some point.

Social conservatism is literally scientifically proven to correlate with significantly lower IQ. That's why comments like yours are so much rarer on a video about an intellectual topic like cube-solving methods and outright virtually nonexistent on quantum physics videos that feature trans people, while easily ten times more common on videos that don't have a commonly intellectually gifted audience.
Ask yourself why here you're a minority, on a physics video you would possibly be literally the only one, on a common video about a mundane topic half would agree with you, and on a video about farts the majority would agree with you.
