I was born in Jacksonville beach fl and i lost all of my family pictures do to a house fire, it means a lot to me to be able to see hanna park again! thank you for posting this video my friend!
Glad we could help. Last time we were there, their roads were terrible and trees in desperate need of trimming. So watch out. But lots of fun to be had. So enjoy 🤗
@@DownsizingMakesCents i will be there next weekend. I will check to see if those have been fixed!! How are the rules when it comes to visitors driving in? I assume they just pay to get in and give them the gate code?
We try to go to Elizabeth Hanna Park once a yr. Like you, the beach is my fav. 😁 my husband n I enjoy your videos and are so happy to see your husband doing well. Happy trails
The bathrooms look very clean. We love that. Also the kids love anything kid oriented. We will have to keep this place in mind when we are exploring Florida.
Steve, it’s a great campground, but the streets are narrow and many potholes when we were there. But still a lot to do - we have a part 2 video about that. Enjoy your time, Alice
I’m glad the video helped you, we like to make this kind of video because we get frustrated when we are looking at a campground and there are no good views of the actual sites online. We actually refer to our old videos when we are booking again at a campground we made a video, is it big enough, does it have shade, is it in an awkward area, you can only tell these things well in a video that shows all the sites. See you out camping, Larry
We love Hanna park! Great videography. It's nice how you are able to speed it up and still explain everything. We brought the kids to the splash park and lake. It's so nice how it's basically in the middle of the city but feels like in the middle of nowhere. Fort Cinch State Park is another amazing place to visit.
Ready, Set, Autism Family Fort Cinch is on our list for early 2020, we are trying to hit as many florida state parks as possible this winter before we go full time this summer. I am also a Celiac, 10 years.
you two are awesome. we are planning a camp to Hanna Park and were between Huguenot camping & this one. I think you've helped us to make our decision. Hanna Park it is ! great video
Thanks. Huguenot has no tree coverage. Hanna does, but the roads in the campground last time we were there were in terrible condition and they hadn’t trim trees in the street or at our site. Our 35’ barely fit - so size up if you can. But the location is amazing. So much to do there and close by, Alice
@@DownsizingMakesCents thanks for the excellent video. I drove through there briefly last week, but had not researched the park, so had no idea how many different features the park had to offer.
Johanna, hi. I’m always thinking of my pups. See our things to do in the keys video. I show very cool dog friendly places. Thanks for coming by. Alice.
Lucky Dawg Productions I like what you did there, Dawg 🤣. I loved Hanna Park’s beach and pond access. I just wish we had a smaller unit because it is a tight squeeze down those roads. Thanks again for watching and commenting
Pamela, We were there a couple of times. Just watch the narrow beat up roads and low hanging branches in the park. We do have a part 2 about Hanna if you are interested. Enjoy your stay. Happy New Year. Alice
Great video! I appreciate the detail about the campground amenities. I had never heard of this park. Your previous video brought me here. We are looking forward to checking this out.
Chuck, it is a great park, but the spots could be tight. Also, the last time we were there, the roads in the park were poorly maintained. But walk to the beach and to the lake? You can’t beat that. Enjoy, Alice
@@DownsizingMakesCents I hear ya. Thanks for this tip! We landed on a pull thru site. We liked that there seemed to be trees and bushes to add privacy. I appreciate your videos, the quality is excellent👍🏾.
Nice job on the Hanna Park Campground tour. I just found your channel and will support you. I was raised as an RV'er, but in February of 2020, I'll be backpacking my way from GA to ME on the A.T. Until then, I enjoy watching videos like yours.
Rufus, hey. We have stayed twice with our current RV. My husband used to go more often for the mountain biking- tented, travel trainee and class b Travato. I can’t wait to go back. Thanks for coming by. Alice.
Patty, I left an updated link to our doggie backpack in the description of our backpack video. www.amazon.com/Kyjen-Outward-Carrier-Backpack-Medium/dp/B01CHBO6HM I’m glad our tour helped you. Alice
We have to really try hard on the narration, we dont have an awesome voice like you naturally, lol. We use a Blue yeti, microphone, I am a lot louder than Alice so i have drop my gain by 6db.
Such a nice park and great location. However, so much deferred maintenance with the facilities. It's a city of Jacksonville park and clearly they need to invest in some repairs and renovations.
Frank, you are so right. The roads in the park are terrible. And they need to trim so an RV can actually fit through the narrow roads and in sites- super tight. Washers and dryers need to be added, too Alice
The Kayak Launch at Hanna is designed for disabled kayaker's and is called an Adaptive Kayak Boat Launch. Just thought I would share something I just learned :)
Great info! Love videos like this that actually provide the info we are looking for. We recently started a similar and love making videos to share with others who might be looking for similar info. Thanks!
Chad, there are some big sites, but the roads in the campground are tight. You might want to call them and ask. This campground isn’t really big rig friendly. Let us know what happens, Alice
The connection was rocking. Have fun. Make sure to go to the beach. About a ten minute walk. Also great trails all around plus a lake with tons of birds. See at right around dusk. Alice
Thank you so much for stating the approximate walking time from the campground to the ocean. That is such valuable information to those who have mobility issues. Many times the distance from the campground to whatever feature the park has (springs, river, ocean etc) is left out of campground reviews. I was so thankful that you went to the trouble to include it. Thank you again. Safe travels and God bless.
John, thank you. That is an excellent point. We will think about that for now on. We try to include all the information we think we would want to know. Alice
They definitely should put some time and make new in to upgrade the roads and facilities like the laundry. It’s really the location - walk to the beach and lake that makes it a popular. It’s a city park.

You can’t beat the price for what this campground park includes!
Very true. But I do wish they would fix the pot holes, trim branches along roads and add more laundry machines
