The handlebar support calls for 40 nm or 29.5 ft. lbs. found on pg. 57 of the 2024 XCW manual. It looked like you cranked it a little tight. Great install vid, thank you!
It's what keeps the bars from rolling forward and backwards since the polymers that wrap around the bar can't "grip" the bars. And because the shark-bite is isolated with a polymers it too allows some movement depending on the firmness you get. So not only do you get less vibrations but your handlebars are able go roll forward and backwards just ever so slightly to help absorb sharp hits.
