- This Pastorella in F major - recorded here for All of Bach with Reitze Smits - refers to Italy, to ‘sheperds’ music and with that to Christmas. But it also has parts separate from these themes. A work that is hard to place in one corner: a bit of Italy, a bit of France and a good dash of Christmas.

How lighthearted yet profound. This put me in a peaceful, meditative state.
Very charming video with those outdoor pictures. Perfect! Gorgeous music and delightful imagery. Thx, NBS 😘
Love the calm and peaceful mood of this wonderfull piece So beautifully played thank's
I think I have never heard this pice before. It’s lovely. Thank you.
Smits plays this with such beautiful restraint. I can feel the push and pull in his playing.
First time I hear this. Absolutely beautiful. Excelent recording. Thanks NBS 👏
This is a beautiful piece which I have never heard before, but given how prolific Bach was that's not surprising! Thank you so much for de-stressing me at the end of a busy week!
Been waiting for this one. Thank you
Excellent piece for having a mindful serenity, whether it be in the heavier side of a topic or lighter ones.
Peaceful music beautifully played on a sweet sounding instrument ❤
*Classical music has a timeless beauty that resonates with the soul. Each piece is a masterpiece, and listening to it is like taking a journey through history and emotions. 🎵✨*
I am pleased that you have uploaded the Pastorella BWV 590. It's beautifully played.
However, I cannot agree with one detail of your description on your website: "...In any case, none of the following sections contain references to Christmas..."
Of course the 4th movement is an artful fugue based on the old Christmas carol "Resonet in laudibus".
thank you for your reply - the author of the text took another look, agreed with you and we then changed the text.
Alweer zo’n ontstellend mooi werk van Bach. En fantastisch gemusiceerd. Heerlijke tempi. 5.48 is zo’n hartverscheurend mooi momentje.
Nice “pastoral” scenery with your beautiful rendition of a “Pastorale”!
Perfect piece to usher in the first new moon of 2024. 🙏
Beautiful interpretation. Fantastic!
Thank you for this.
And thank you Bach for this!
Danke. Wundervoll!
Prachtig gespeeld!
Wonderful! Thank you!
Beautiful
Великолепно!
No matter how many stops your organ has, Bach would always say, "Challenge accepted."
this is the best version 👏🏿
I feel like this is a Christmas piece through and through
Thank you.
It finally came out
Awesome.
Exquisite montage…
Mooi!!!
Can tell from the sheet music he is playing off the Breitkopf edition from the BGA series.
Du Japon merci pour ce moment de paix et de sérénité
Bach, lieber Freund, danke
Великолепно! Спасибо!
How many organists first learned of this beautiful piece from Volume II of Joseph Bonnet’s ‘Historical Organ Recitals’ published by G. Schirmer? 😎🎹
magnificant

👍☀️
I wonder why all the keys have those three dots on them.
Dominos transformed into organ keys? ;-)
😅

Thanks for your videos. Have you ever thought about playing at 432 Hz? I strongly recommend it. That would be a really good thing. Bach composed music to be performed at 432 Hz. Thanks and good continuation
