In this video I’ll show you how to paint the Glottkin! This amazingly big model is truly the gnarliest unit of the Maggotkin. The detail on this is insane and I went full out to make it as disgusting as I can. Meanwhile taking care it doesn’t look like a copy of my Great Unclean One.
If you like this video then I'd love to hear from you! I’m always open for feedback on how to improve my painting or editing skills.

It's easy to stop the dusty, chalky finish of a drybrush. Have a sponge in a container off to the side with enough water where the top of the sponge is damp. Wipe the paint off your drybrush like you normally would, then jab it into the sponge once or twice to reapply moisture. Wipe it off a little bit to get some of the moisture out, then proceed with drybrushing. With a little practice you will no longer get that dusty, chalky looking drybrush.
Excellent tip thank you! I'll be trying that out the next time I have to drybrush something
@@ThePutridPainter It takes some practice to get right but it works.
The reason you get the dusty chalky texture is because you are using nearly dry pigment. Adding a small amount of moisture, but no more pigment stops the chalky effect.
Enjoy!
Finally another Glottkin tutorial! This one is a real banger, amazing!!!
Thank you and glad you’re enjoying it! Hope it helps!
Absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed every second of the process. Congrats.
Thank you very much!
YASSS!!! This is the inspiration I have been waiting for. Thank you and as always absolutely disgusting and a amazing work of art
Thanks and very happy to help :)
Fantastic paint job for one of the best models there is!!
It really is!
Man. I was so sad because I put together my Glottkin and got an airbrush kit for the first time today. I tried airbrushing a small throw away resin model to get the hang of it and after some confidence I did my Glottkin. I was so sad at how it turned out. So I stopped after the base coat. But wow! This video has given me a whole new idea on how to turn that around! Thank you!!
Great to hear my video helped! An airbrush takes some time to get used to. I’m also still struggling
Fantastic job 👍, looks amazing
Thank you!
just amazing work!
Thank you! Cheers :)
This is awesome!! Really glad I found your channel. Any longer videos showing more application would be nice to watch too.
Thanks for the nice message! And interesting! I would think showing longer applications might be boring but I could experiment with it if I do something unusual
@@ThePutridPainter the edited version is great! The longer version is nice to keep in the background while painting. Kind of like a Bob Ross Joy of Painting :D
I love how you did this! I have a Great Unclean One to build next, and am a man who loves to have partswappable minis so can try different things…you’re Glottkin duotone paintjob is perfect for my duotone Rotigus / Great Unclean One!!! THANKYOU
Glad I could help! And definitely show me what you come up with :)
Thanks a lot for this Video. Its a great Model and great to paint!! :D
It really is! If I were to paint it again I would put some effort in removing the gaps in the model but yeah this has been quite a while ago
That's a superb job!
Thank you very much!
This video is awesome, most tutorials are either hard to follow or boring. This video explains enough to make it easy to follow but still manages to stay interesting
You're very welcome! Means a lot to me to get this feedback. I'm very glad people are enjoying my tutorials.
Nice work!
Which primer did you use?
I used Wraithbone as a primer
Awesome! Looks really gross, which is good, well done!
As a fan of Nurgle models that is a big compliment haha
What an amazing painting an artist you are as too bad. This model has such big scenes and gaps
Yah I agree. If I were to build the model now I would have done something about the gaps and seems. Hope you still find the painting part useful
@@ThePutridPainter I'm amazed by your painting style. And I've learned a lot from watching you. I really enjoy your channel and I will continue to watch
Yog skin
The gap between different parts of the miniature is atrocious.
After gluing the miniature, use a liquid putty to fill the spaces left after joining to obtain a uniform and realistic surface.
I saw in all the miniatures you paint that you are not interested in this aspect and i don't understand how nobody told you until now that it looks very ugly.
If you solve this aspect, your miniatures will be at a much higher level.
Yep I totally agree! No excuse, I just didn’t do that. I think building is my least favorite part of the process. I will try to do better in the future though
Gross as always
You know it ;D
