I play on VH Friendship 729 Origin. I like a linear style of play and a lot of spin. But also a touch of aggressiveness. Battle II and Battle II Province are also an alternative for me. Back then 10 years ago I played Yasaka Do. The surface was also very hard and very sticky. Unfortunately there are no more. I would play Battle II when my feel for the game and security have reached a certain level. Otherwise stay on Origin for now. A 10 year break is quite long
I love omega 7 Asia. Similar market, spin monster, lasts fairly long, and sits at about 52 USD. Dignics 05 has been the best backhand rubber I’ve ever used.
Agree .. further Jeckyll &Hyde 47.5 a bit more hybrid rubber as Omega 7 Asia , so a bit more speed with still a big amount of control ... would choose Xiom above butterfly any day because it's long term consistancy
There’s quite a few J & H variants. I’ve tried a few because I was seriously considering switching but didn’t like them as much. But yea, feel like XIOM puts as much R&D in their products and is still more affordable and reliable.
The only question I am concerned about: which of the substitutes and dignics 09c has the best durability? Longevity is the most important factor for me.
thats some trick question... durability of what? for example, the sponge durability is something that people who practice everyday experience most often, the sponge after 3 weeks to 1 month can feel really different because they lose tension and elasticity, but the topsheet can still be good at this point. a rubber that i tried and think can have the most longevity is rakza z. or you can just change more often or reboost dhs h3 blue sponge and dna dragon grip.
@@esmolol4091DHS 3 Neo what?😂 General = dead rubber even with Haifu. Provincional Blue with Haifu ok, but booster last max 6-8 weeks. National, also need Haifu and cost 90-100$
From my understanding there is no cheaper alternative to D09C, eventually Stigma DNA Dragon Grip, but the durability is half of D09C so not really cheaper. If you wish cheaper alternative you need take in account performance loss > hard but tru 😊
For me, there is only one rubber alternative chepear, than dignics - yinhe Jupiter 3 Asia. But, of course, spin and speed not such great as dignics, but it's still great rubber.
@@whatevereyewantGlayzer09c is ok, but lacks of spin and arch. And D09C is way more stable during rallies or counter. I played BH G09C and D09C FH with FZD ALC, Glayzer is missing something.
DHS III Hurricane NEO... A lot better durability than D09C (especially for the sponge), better speed, a little less spiny and especially much cheaper. Rakza Z is also good on the long run if you favor a more balanced game.
I bought the paddle with Viscaria Blade and Rakza Z Extra Hard, it is tacky, powerful, and weighty as mentioned. Interesting none the less. Nice to have a different feel.
What about Yinhe Big Dipper National version(39-41 degree)? I heard that Big Dipper Spin, a simpler version is also very similar. Maybe the national one is worthy of attention?
@@vincentg9570 I tested several hybrid rubbers and they don't come close to the unique balance that Dignics09c has. It's tacky but juuuust a little bit, it's fast but not too fast, it's perfect on the table short game. Others hybrids are usually too tacky and rigid and uncontrollable. Probably it's something in the quality of the topsheet. I liked Stiga Hybrid rubber on Truls Cybershape. But still it is different. The only "downside" of Dignics09c is that on very hard blades, like Truls Cybershape, the combination becomes too hard, so Im not fast enough to handle the ball properly. Dignics09c is perfect on Hinoki blades - Primorac Carbon, Victas Hino-Carbon, etc..
Interesting choices. I'm certainly not gonna play or even buy an error09c! But I'm wondering of how to get a Double Fish Qiji. Dragon grip is a different beast, tough wasn't for me. I still like Chinese on my FH.

Another answer to the Question "why do so many professionals use it" would be "because they are sponsored by Butterfly" .... I only tried it once on someone elses racket as I usually hate butterfly so much .... in my opinion most butterfly rubbers are just bad for every non professional as they are way to hard for most people. Still yeah dignics wasn't bad but I'd never pay that ammount no matter how good it might be. I am using a Rasanter 42 and I am very happy with it.

I think Xiom’s C55 can be added to this list as well but I still think 09c is a better rubber. Heaviness of 09c or similar rubbers is too taxing on the arm. Any rubber that provides the same performance but lighter will take the crown in my opinion
I play 4-5 days per week, 2-3 hours each of those days. I’m an all around type player that plays OFF blades. How long would a set of Butterfly Dignics last me on average? Thanks for the help
The feeling of dignic09c is much more different with donic c2 or stiga dragon grip. The only similar rubber is rakza z(a soft version of d09c). Although all of them is good rubber, but I think that the rakza z is the only one which can replace it much with similar feeling.

I think that the Andro Rasanter C53 is better than Dignics 09c by A LOT. It's also better than Tibhar Hybrid K3 in my opinion. Rasanter C53 a little bit slower than Dignics 09c but you can make fast shots with it if you are strong. The spin and counterspin is incredible. In my opinion, Dignics is not even in the contest for best forehand rubber. It is between Hurricane 3, Skyline 2, and Rasanter C53.
I've recently started using the Butterfly Glayzer 09c which uses exactly the same top sheet as Dignics but is half the price. Amazed this hasn't been mentioned as it's a great rubber.
