@ I think it has to look harmonious if you're building your own city... the Lego houses are great individually but I don't know of any combination that's perfect with all the buildings. I think the houses serve as inspiration for your own city because each one house has its own style
Ahh thank you so much for your kind words ❤️ I like your idea of a park, and it's definitely something I want to add to Brick City :) I saw some great ideas for green spaces and landscaping at LEGO World that I'll be showing in the next videos 😁👍
Awesome video! I love the road bridge on top of the double track and the tunnel with the single track. I am planning to build something similar in my town - although in my case it would be in Japanese style. As for your town, in my opinion, the three things that would make your city look much better, are: 1) instead of a brick wall, make a hill from the rollerocaster, down to the flatlands in the front 2) instead of having a closed circuit with the monorail, I would go for a point-to-point layout, so to reduce the amount of tracks "flying" around the model, making it look more simple and realistic 3) add ballast to your traintracks Let me know your thoughts!
Thank you so much for your elaborate comment!! That road bridge also caught my eye :) for Brick City I imagined it as the tunnel entrance for the raised platform we haven't covered yet. Also loving your ideas for Brick City!! 1) I get what you're saying! It also feels a bit illogical to build such a wall there, a hill would be cool! Never done that but it could connect the area a lot more probably! 2) good point. Tracks do take up a lot of space, and less is more is perhaps better here. I'm going to think on this one! 3) omg yes, that's very much already on the list haha :) but it's such a huge undertaking... And even though there are third party solutions, I think I'd like to use real lego parts to make them. Not making it easier though that way. You got me curious about the city you're planning to build, when will you get started? Any chance we will be able to see it online? :)
@@brickcitymatt I have ballasted tracks with original LEGO parts...yes, it requires a lot of pieces. However, it gets so much easier to build once you have made 2, 3 curved tracks. That said, it's a big budget, but the level of satisfaction is immense. I have only used tiles to help the tracks to lay down on the baseplate, but didn't bother following the perfect design you find online (as it would cost even more). I have re-started from zero quite recently with the city (I moved place, and I was able to expand the town a little bit more). It is very compact but once I have finished the hills and put some buildings, I'll probably share some videos online. I am not planning to be a full-time youtuber, but if I upload something, I'll come back here and let you know...but it will take a looong time - especially considering that I want to build a completely new 7-wide Japanese style local train, which will cost me a LOOOOOT of money. Anyway, good luck with your city :D
Making your own moc is always nice. Indeed Dutch inspired is very logic. I do find it hard to mix in with lego style which is more usa or paris like style. I am making my own firestation but it is loosely based on a NYC building. Not a local Dutch because those are all modern and would not fit the lego policestation.
I get what you're saying about the mixing, that's indeed difficult... Love how your fire station is coming together though, looking forward to the end result!! For Brick City I hope to someday build a big Dutch canal scene, such as a part of the Oude Gracht here in Utrecht... But perhaps I should start a bit smaller with one narrow building for example... Must say, it feels a bit daunting but also very exiting!
@brickcitymatt thanks. You could do your idea you know. You have a large layout. You could make a commercieel district with the lego modulars but then a bit further one your residential area with the gracht. Look at cpt_uro I believe his handle is. He has nice example of amsterdam. I would indeed start small. My first firestation was 16studs wide. Now I do 32, but need to think of way more suddenly. And I need more bricks 🤣
Very nice!
Mooi hoor, in het bijzonder de Disney moc van 03:36 ziet er leuk uit, goed gedaan!
Incredible!!! Thank you for sharing.
Those builders sure did something amazing here. Glad you enjoyed the video, more to come 😊
Fantastic mocs 🤩
Absolutely, so awesome 🤩 any favorites for you??
The big City Moc is a dream moc…i think the Modulars are cool but the own City with own mocs are cooler 😅👌
Agreed 😁👍 what kind of MOCs would you like to see in Brick City? :)
@ Maybe a park like an avenue with trees…as an entrance to the city…

@@brickcitymatt je bent al zeker mooi begonnen, maar zelf de stenen bestellen ervoor blijft spannend ja. Maar genoeg mensen die je willen helpen .. 👍😄
Super cool video! I did feel like the music was too loud.
Thanks! 😊 and good point about the music, it was indeed a bit on the louder side. I'll pay attention to that in the next videos.
Heel leuke video!
Great improvements on yer videomaking!!! Loved the video, would a park maybe ty in the build a little more?❤ keep up the awesome work you do
