I have the S21 and it'd be cool if you can do a mobile photography tutorial with the phone. Your photos look the most amazing of all S21 camera review photos I've seen online. I just subscribed, keep up the good work!
This is what a call quality content. I can really feel the professional photographer touch in your review and your photography. It was not only very informative, as I'm considering purchasing the S21, but also very pleasant to watch, because of your artistic sense and mastery. Instantly, your opinion weights much more than any video I have seen on the subject (and I have already watched too many of them). It's just so obvious you know what you are talking about... I can feel it in every picture you show here. Congratulations!
Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment!! I really try to find a new perspective on these reviews because there are so many videos out on these devices. I'm still learning as I go so hopefully my future reviews/comparisons will be even better!
Just what I was looking for. What an excellent no-nonsense review, you've gained another subscriber. Thankyou for such an in depth review with lots of real life examples.
Great video. I have always enjoyed taking pictures and have been told that I have a great eye for capturing the moment. I haven't picked up a camera in many years and only recently realized how much I miss that feeling of capturing that perfect moment in time. I bought the S21 mainly for the improvements they have made with their optics but really could not afford the S21 Ultra. After watching you review of the S21, you have really made me feel a lot better about my choice. Thank you for your time and expertise about the phone and picture quality. Please keep up the great work.
Thanks for sharing your experience! The regular S21 has amazing cameras. Of course, the Ultra has the super telephoto but its not worth the huge price tag just for that.
You will realise something; that actual photographers and videographers tend to have more positive views towards phone cameras than reviewers. Sometimes, reviewers and their followers really do just get caught up in things that don't exactly matter, and scrutinise waaaay too hard. Worse still, many people get a skewed idea of what a good photography machine really is, and start to blast photogaphers for getting expensive gear and all. Personally, I prefer more "editable" colours that i can freely manipulate in Lightroom and more natural sharpening rather than the digital sharpening that still plagues most phones. Then again, at some point it really doesn't matter anymore, but wannabe phone enthusiasts will go on about how it's ever so slightly soft or something.
So in depth :) I know this is a photography channel but a separate review of other aspects of the phone would be great! I really appreciate how in depth you go
I have the S21 Ultra I decided on it because I truly wanted to "snap" the moon and have for the first time been able to do it. Watching this video though would have made me still feel good with the S21. Great video sir!
On the moon... I was able on two separate occasions taken decent photos but for some reason I can't find my way back to what I did. I used dark mode and zoomed all the out but the meter on the top right isn't showing up so it's all a blur.
@@sharonbarry8878 do you have the s21 or ultra? If it the ultra i just use photo mode aim at the moon and zoom in to 30x....you just have to have a steady hand or tripod. Once the moon is in the middle of your view tap it to focus and snap voila. I took a really cool one last night at dusk sky was still blue!

Hey Preston thanks a lot for the positive feedback and kind words. I'm am def trying to review these devices from a photographers perspective, take them out on real world scenarios and see what the cameras are capable of. Because these days, most phones have good screens, speakers, etc. so it's the cameras and softeare that really differentiate it
A very much realistic review highlighting the camera section which I was looking for. Thanks a lot for your detailed review. Keep up the good work. Best wishes.
Alex thank you for taking the time to do an in depth review of the Samsung Galaxy S21. I purchased my phone almost a week ago. Right out the box I love it. I upgraded from a Galaxy S9. In July I started posting videos to my youtube channel that I established back in 2006. I have had my S9 for 2 years but was almost out of memory even though I tried to get rid of some of the apps. I am impressed with the phone and didn't purchase the ultra phone because it was too large imo. Again job well done Alex.
S9 has the micro SD card capability..which i love and will keep for a backup. Wish samsung kept it but the future is bound to happen without SD cards it seems.
First of all, thank you kindly for posting this review. I recently bought an old Samsung s22.... although it is now 2023 it's still pretty decent. I am also a photographer and my old Samsung A22 phone just wasn't cutting it for me. I'm so pleased with the camera on my s21 and watching this video confirmed all I needed to know in advance. Now, i do not have to walk with my heavy Nikon camera and lenses whilst I'm hiking🙃
Great video! While I wanted to keep my Samsung A71 UW 5G and switch to Spectrum Mobile(it's way cheaper), the phone wasn't supported in their system, sooooo, It was a difficult situation but I ended up with the Samsung S21+. God helped me on that one. That was all Him. My dad was a photographer and my sister and her husband are both photographers as well. This video was very uplifting and made me more relieved that I made the right choice picking my phone. Keep up the great work!
I love your review. Very clear and sensible topics. Its technical but still comprehensive to people that is not a tech savy. Continue creating contents bro. Already liked and subbed.
Hi Alex. I've had my S21 5G phone now for almost a year and have taken a lot of shots with it mostly for work related stuff and my BBQ pics, I'm hopeless with selfies as I don't think I'm very photogenic. I've never really delved into the menu side of the phone and different settings, I just point and shoot but am amazed what these phones can do in Photo mode. I was scanning you tube for some demonstrations when I came across your channel.....wow you could make these phone cameras sing, I really want to get out and do different things with S21. I do however find it's a bit heavy on the battery so I might have to get an extra battery bank. Great work Alex, you taught me a lot....so thankyou for this video.
Thanks for your feedback! I'm sure you can take amazing photos it just takes some practice and lighting is very important as well. These phone cameras are so good these days have confidence in yourself and you practice a bit to get better!
This is an amazing review and literally a helpful one for those of us looking into more detail of camera specs. This video has helped me reassured my decision to buy the Samsung S21. I actually got the 21+ but I'm sure it won't change that much. I have subscribed and can't wait to see more of your content.
Omg I have been looking for a review on this phone from an actual photographer... and i finally found one!!! AND the photos used are pics from my city (I do street photography). Thank you for this review!!!
Thank you so much Alex. This has helped me decide upon my phone upgrade choice. My husband always accuses me of ruining a good walk by taking pictures with my DSLR and I wanted a phone that could capture quick moments for me and I think this will. My daughter has an IPhone Pro and I'm realistic that nothing will compare to that but I like my Samsung.

Great review!! Do you think i should choose pixel 5a or go for the s21 or a s20+/s20 ultra, with my main focus being good camera specially in low light situations?
Thank you so much Alex - I am about to replace my 4 year old LG V30+ and the S21 is one of my main choices. I love photography and have Sony RX-10 IV, as well as the RX-100 V, but most of the time it is the smartphone in my pocket that is always handy. Impressive review!!!

Also I wanna mention that you said you're not a big selfie taker, but I am, and the wide angle selfie camera on the S21 is incredibly useful and I believe is worth mentioning on a video about the S21's cameras!
Excellent video! Don't see many base S21 videos out there, seems mostly S21 Ultra videos. I do have a question, can the S21 do macro photos? I try to take pictures of my coins and they just don't focus. I had the S7 and it did great for that but I can't seem to recreate that with the S21. P.S. I was hoping the telephoto camera has optical zoom instead of hybrid zoom. But I still made the purchase as i was desperate for smaller phone (from Galaxy Note10+) LOL. Mine is Phantom White. I like your video and already hit the 'Like'.
Yeah that is the only difference between the regular and the ultra. I really don't like how big the ultra is. I had the small note 10 before the s21 and that size is perfect for me!

Hi, thanks for your review. I just have one question, i know is a photography review instead of video but i just want to find out is the image stabiliser good while walking? Or can it handle fast moving object like kids running around /fast action sports. Appreciate if you can do a short vid on how the video perform in different situation. Thanks :)
Great review! Would love to see one that really tests the low light performance with night photography of city scapes. Curious whether it can do a good job, if you don't have your DSLR or mirror less handy.
For a TH-cam beginner do you think it's better than buying an affordable 4k camera for recording 4k videos? if not what is your suggest for an affordable 4k camera?
Just subbed. May I suggest a tutorial video for different phone brands apart from reviews? I'm assuming one phone camera setup is different from another. A tutorial series would certainly help owners of different phones make the most of what they have. Keep up the good work.

Are you familiar with Moment lenses? I have the wide 18mm and telefoto 58mm... Wondering if it is even worth using them anymore?? I have read the wide has some vignetting but it seems to me the S21 camera with no lense is just as good??
Just purchased an S21 yesterday to replace my LG K4. Still getting used to it & happy that I decided to spend the money on it. I'm an older guy who mainly uses a phone for calling, texting, some surfing, & photos. I wanted a phone with a good camera & I see that I got one. Just bought a San Disk Extreme Portable SSD to store my photos on. I've figured out how to back them up on the device, but am hoping there's a way to move them without then having to go back to the gallery on the phone & delete them. If it's possible I'll eventually figure it out. Thanks for a great review.

Thanks for ur review this is exactly what I was looking for
No problem! Glad you found it helpful
Respect for reviewing s21 rather than s21+/ultra as others. ✌🏻
Let me know if it's good for vlogging or not.. Or i should go with iphone 12...
I need good Wide angle camera & good inbuilt microphone for Vloging..
Finally a good video, you deserve at least 1 million subs
For a TH-cam beginner do you think it's better than buying an affordable 4k camera for recording 4k videos? if not what is your suggest for an affordable 4k camera?
Beautiful video thanks for taking the time to make it.
Appreciate you!
Woah I'm so impressed with the way you reviewed it. Thanks!
Just subbed. May I suggest a tutorial video for different phone brands apart from reviews? I'm assuming one phone camera setup is different from another. A tutorial series would certainly help owners of different phones make the most of what they have. Keep up the good work.

What a review man. Right from the content, production quality and even the photos - everything was top notch.
Thanks i was looking for a video just like this!
I've got the s21 in purple. Great phone, I came from a Pixel 3a.....I do miss the pure Android experience though.
Nice! That's a cool colorway. Yeah I agree stock android is so clean and minimal. But Samsung has been improving so hopefully they can make it even better for the next version
Yo I wanna do this to, is the camera just as good?
There is a rumour that if we use camera for 10 min or while gaming.... phone gets super heat ....is that true
Great review! Was undecided with S21 or iphone12. Now I'm leaning to get this phone.. thank you!
Did you buy it?!!
I want to have a galaxy s21 too but I'm afraid of the selfie camera is it good?!!
@@Ashofyoutubeyasda yes i did
Are you familiar with Moment lenses?
Samsung vs sony vs one plus vs vivo vs oppo .........suggest one -one phone from these brands please . in flagship varrient
I'm looking for a new phone according to my needs and your video has helped me to make a decision.
