A day in the Mojave desert. Helping my brother with his homestead. A rocky ending of a great day.

- Things turned out great. Seeing my brother for the first time in years. We all hugged, talked, and went out and got a few things. This trip was very much needed.
If you made it to the end of the video, things are a lot better now. We went back, talked, and left on a good note. Much more is still needed, but I'm glad we made it down when we did.

Wow, your brother is a strong man for being able to live out there in that heat with wild animals and who knows what else 😮 It’s so heartwarming to see that you and your dad still care so much especially after not talking to him for a while. You’re such a good person I knew I liked you for a reason lol. Not just for the videos about your excursions and stuff, but you let us into your personal life too. Thanks so much for sharing this ❤☺️
Hey Eldon, it’s clear how much you care, and I can imagine how tough that must have been. I have a friend who lives north of Reno in similar conditions. I often try to reach out, but it’s hard to know if I’m actually helping or just intruding. I've learned he has his reasons, ones I can't fully appreciate, but understand. All we can do is offer our support without expecting anything in return. That's true unselfish love. But it really is tough when we see someone struggle, we want to help but it doesn’t always go as we hope. Just know that your efforts mean a lot, even if it didn’t go perfectly. You never know if/ when things might change. Hang in there and take care of yourself. It's f-ng hot out as hell out there this weekend, you're one brave soul. The heat is relentless. Mad respect for anyone that can live in those conditions, I'm sure your brother has seen it all. Mad respect.
PS. I haven't been to Denny's since college days in the late 2000s but that food looked pretty good. Think I'm gonna have to give it a try.
@greeksurferdude thanks man! I love the comment. You're absolutely right. We just love him and wanna see him succeed. We don't judge him by his beliefs, or his ways of living. Just wanna be there the best we can and love him as a brother/son, knowing in our hearts we did something for him and helped the best we could.
The heat is crazy insane, currently 104 and I'm sure it's gotta be 110 or so in the sand.
Yeah! Can't go wrong with Dennys. It used to be my routine weekly almost lol bowling, then Dennys afterwards 😆

It’s a shame the night didn’t end well, and I can tell this broke your heart, but continue to stay positive. There is always a new day starting and everything will be okay. Just remember that you and your dad had good intentions and your hearts were in the right place in going to see your brother. Things will be okay and just remember how much fun all 3 of you had earlier that day😊 More days like that will come❤️
@TrulyTheresa You're absolutely right. Today, we reconnected and put it behind us. Things are better and we're planning another trip. My dad and I feel a lot better leaving him on a good note. All we wanna do is help him in any way we can. Especially during this crazy heat wave down here. Better days are definitely ahead! 🙏
@@Eldons_Excursions Yes better days are always coming. Never give up and continue just showing him that you care about him and love him. One day his heart will open up to you again. Things will get so much better as you stay connected and work through your issues. All you can do is take it a day at a time😊
That’s life. The ups and downs with family. We all go through it. Take the good and the bad. Make memories with each other. Glad your brother is doing well. That show how much your dad and you care for him.
His place reminds me of Tremors. Classic movie. I give it to him for making a homestead there.

“Denny’s” is an American staple. I’m glad you went. It’s good for nights after the club, or days in the Mojave desert apparently! 👏 The Jet-graveyard was also very cool to see!
As for your brother, the wind turbines should be life-changing. They have affordable ones at Home Depot! Check the reviews though because they are mixed on different ones. You’re a great dude for helping out your bro. 👏 Stay awesome!

At first I was gonna point something funny out just like I usually do but then I got to the end of the video and the look in your eyes when you started to say that things didn’t turn out that night broke my heart for both you and your dad. I read that it all worked out in the end and I’m glad that you guys had the reunion you were hoping for.

There is a Podcast series on California City “ called California City” that is really interesting. Talks about how the city was going to be started back in the 50’s. A lot of weird stuff happened. Worth listening to.
