Today we take a look at the Legacy B. Is this the BC Rich return to form we have been promised or is it junk? Its a bit of a mixed bag. A future video will attempt to answer that question further!

My first guitar was an NJ Series B from the mid 1980s. Which I bought in the mod 1980s. I’ve been playing SGs for a long time now and I’ve always felt there was a similarity. I’ve been considering a Legacy B or Legacy Mockingbird but have the same reservations about the price point. I tend to favor sub $1,000 guitars because you get a lot of bang for your buck these days at lower price points. The neck through designs of BC Rich and odd shapes are a step up for a lot of manufacturers and they can’t all do it. I actually remember that ad too 😂. Def not for the modern world.
I had a mockingbird special. Les Paul control layout. Total LP killer and the Bich really.doea feel sg like for some reason doesnt it?

I had to send it back for exchange. They didnt have any more greens so i have a different finosh on the way. Local tech said he counted 9 high frets
I've been wanting a mockingbird for a while. I'm just not ready to plunk down how much they cost now. The Bich is cool too.
I had a set of Deactivators in a guitar or maybe it was the Dominions. They were cool, but tone chasing lead to swapping pickups. I always wanted to try a Super Distortion bridge with a Super 2 in the enck.
The price is definitely not for the faint of heart. Especially with the problems this bich had. Stay tuned for the followed up videos!

I've always been a fan of the SD JB style pickups, I have dozens of guitars with different iterations of them (JB, JBJ, Thrash Factor, JB w/ Triple Shots), but when I got my 50th Anniversary Legacy Bich (If anyone is offended... wahhhhh) it had Dimarzio D'Activators in it and I have since put them in 8 of my guitars... they are fantastic pickups.
Same here i now have dimarzio in 3 guitars. Duper distortion and a super 2, deactivators and an x2n. The deactivators are my favorites so far

Do you have any leads on green hardware for a LP or ltd ec256?
@@TheDistortionPrinciple I have searched myself for bridge, tuners, and other metal parts. Other than plastics, I have not see anything you can get for hardware.
@@ericctheartofnoise8613 yep only things i found were some screws and stuff for floyd rose unfortunately
A little less money on glossy poly and uncomfortable shapes and a little more effort on fret leveling and BC Rich might become a respected builder. I'm glad you like it. I would sell it to someone who wants to look badd ass in their band photo.
It definitely had some serious issues. I ended up swapping it for a different color
Just a quick question: I'm wondering about the strap locks. Did you change the strap buttons on the guitar? If not, what strap locks do they fit?
The strap lock buttons came on the guitar and in the box was a bag with rhe strap locks. So you wouldnt need to change anything. I believe they are grovers. They are the schaller or Dunlop style

I love that green on her, but she needs a Kahler Quad instead of a damn wraparound. I'd even opt for a TOM and Stop Tail combo over a wraparound.
I used to think that as well but that damn wraparound has grown on my lol. I have a quad on my stealth and probably putting a wraparound on it

Thanks! Im currently waiting a replacement. I was having setup issues and my local tech counted quite a few high frets and was gonna cost 200 to have them leveled and set up. Im going to do a follow up when it arrives

I'm looking at the Rich ST legacy, but I wish it came in natural option with a floyd. Also these prices without even a gigbag is crazy

Yeah, why I always order a hard shell case with mine. Just part of being a pointy guitar fan. I'm waiting on my Moser M6 right now, can't wait. Nothing better than a NGD (new guitar day)!

First album era of Megadeth too there's some clips of him playing songs like "Looking Down the Cross" on it. I believe Chris Poland worked at BC Rich at sometime in the early Megadeth days. He played a black Bich in the Peace Sells era.
