Thank you for the video. It’s a great insight to those that are planning to hike this trail. How would you compare it in degree of difficulty to Nakasendo trail.
Thank you for the video. I am planning to hike the Kumano Kodo this year. Other vloggers describe this first part of the hike to be steep and pretty tough, so they stay overnight in Takahara. You made it to Chikatsuyu in only 5 hours. Can the average person do it as fast as you did?
Good question. I think the average person will likely take longer but it also depends a lot on how much weight you're carrying. For context I've done a lot of hiking as you can see from some of my other videos. So someone who's never hiked may take 6-8 hours but a regular hiker may do it in under 4 hours as well if they're carrying a light backpack. I was carrying 12-15kg.
would be helpful if you would hold your camera still on signs, if only for a second, so people can pause the vid and read what is there - even if it is all Japanese, there are folks who can read it and benefit. Thanks.
This is exactly the route I’ve taken on my current trip
SERENE AND ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL….THANK YOU
Thank you for posting your video!! I feel a bit more assured now given what you shared about how long it took. I’m going on Friday!
I get very nervous as I need to plan for next month, but watching your video really gives some assurance, thank you for sharing 🎉
What a coincidence ! I'll do the Kumano kudo too this year at April 9 for my birthday! This is so helpful to get insight :)
素晴らしい動画です😊日本🇯🇵から

I haven't done the Nakasendo trail so I can't comment on that.
Great video. May I ask what time of year this was?
Mid March
