Once again Bjorn is the only one to really do a extremely extensive test. No one has recorded the mach e charging at 157 kw. I was thinking it could only do 100 kw. but no Ford is doing better than I thought.
The more I watch the Mach-e the more I am starting to like it... The subtle hints to the original Mustang, the nice interior and the practical frunk among other things...

This is fairly impressive and I guess when they do over the air updates this will improve the infotainment and also battery charging rate. Pity there isn't a heat pump, but maybe another improvement that will come. It will be interesting to see what Ford come up with when they bring out the smaller EVs on the VW platform next year or so. Good stuff Bjorn
22:06 One thing I figured out with the Bolt EV is if you don't let it run at a slightly lower charging speed for 5% to 10% of the battery after it steps down from peak power, the first step down will occur earlier in subsequent charging sessions. I wonder whether the same is true for the Mach-E. Perhaps the Mach-E needs you to charge for a little longer while the battery conditions in order to maintain faster charging for longer on later sessions. It's a trade off. Slightly longer charging stops but fewer of them.
