this is one of the biggest stadium in Japan! (they sold that out in a blink!) and Tokyo Dome staff (Japanese organizers) is very strict to its performers, they only allow live vocals as they could cater every stage effects performers requests for, EXOrdium concert has FIRE, WATER on stage, THUNDER and FREAKIN RAIN….. YES EXO BROUGHT RAIN ON STAGE!!! Literally!!!!
I discovered EXO this past summer and haven't looked back. They take me back to when boy bands were a big deal in the US. At that time I fell in love with Backstreet Boys. Still love them. I also listened to Boyz to Men and Nsync. Then the popularity of boy bands died down in the US. Some time later it picked up again with One Direction, but they didn't stay together or hook me in the was BSB did. Now I come back to that music with a Korean twist. Loving it immensely. And loving watching new fans discover them like I did.

if 'm not mistaken this concert happened in 2016 during their Ex'act album promotions. the whole concert/tour name is Exo'rdium and it won the award for best concert in the world at that time.

EXO concerts are legendary. The way they open their concerts are always different and very creative. The thing i love about them is that they always give 500% effort. Their albums and concerts are always worth every dime. I mean did they really have to put up such a show here? Their individual visuals and vocals are enough but look at that stage, those images, the way they change up the songs every time. You can never complain about watching the same song when it changes up every time. The effort they put in production, stage design, wardrobe, choreography, song arrangement is totally amazing.

This is a group that is managed by SM Entertainment and no matter what you think of their management, no one can deny that SM is most known and respected for their exceptional focus on powerful vocal quality, strong R&B vibes, and for being years ahead of their time for conceptual development and unbelievable stage productions. Most, if not all, SM artists have tremendous vocal capabilities but EXO truly takes the cake. Each one of the members are immensely talented. It’s my 7th year following EXO. They’re the best kpop group ever
As you discovered, these are remixed versions of EXO's "Mama," "Monster" and "Wolf." Often, the performance and choreography for their songs in concert is different than the original because they put a different twist on it every time they perform it. You never get tired of seeing or hearing them perform a song, no matter how many times you have seen it, because they are always changing it up.
And yes, the moving siluet you saw them create in their "Wolf" performance is supposed to represent the Tree of Life. Which is a visual connection between the story in "Mama" and the story in "Wolf". In the MV for "Wolf" you saw they created two separate trees (or one tree that is split in two) because the MV is when they still have 12 members. EXO-K was one half of the tree and EXO-M was the other half. However, as you saw in the concert performance, they don't split up into the two separate trees any more because now there are only 9 members. After the 3 Chinese members left, they now do everything together, so there is only one tree. This concert was in 2016 and Kris, Luhan and Tao left in 2014/2015.
What Baekhyun yells in the middle of the performance is "Tokyo Dome" in English because this concert is at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, so he was hyping the crowd. Baekhyun is known for being loud, so he is usually the one that screams things to the crowd.
The Tokyo Dome is one of the largest concert venues in Japan, which holds 55,000 people, and there is an unwritten rule that in order to get permission to hold an event there you have to be able to fill it to capacity. EXO are such big-name artists that they know they will have no problem selling out within seconds of tickets going on sale, and most likely they will have to have multiple day events because fan demand will be so high.
How I interpret the part where Kai Xs out the tree, is that EXO are searching for the Tree of Life and Kai has eliminated that tree from their search. It's not the tree they want, so they get rid of it. In the intro to "Mama" they talk about how the Tree of Life has been split in two and each half has been hidden away. It's EXO's job to find the two halves of the Tree of Life and reunite them to restore peace in the world. So in their live performance, that is what they are doing. They are searching for the real Tree of Life.
Just imagine, that was only one set from a more than 3 hour concert where they performed 20 to 30 songs. So, if you think that performance was amazing, keep in mind, after this they only took about a 5 minute break to get ready for the next set of songs and change outfits, etc.

It is not how they ALWAYS start a concert. It was how they started this particular one. They used to start concerts with their dubstep intro....which is short but so good. I actually kinda miss it. Their concerts are always big, always amazing, always well produced and always live. I have never been to one, but I will make it to one someday. So the tree of life formation....they are standing in a long line and literally holding onto each other and leaning to make that tree. It takes a lot of strength and trust in each other. I love it!!
This was performed in Tokyo Dome in Japan. That's 65,000 seats and this concert sold out in 2.4 secs. That's a butt in every seat. All of their concerts sell out in less than 4 secs. 18:28 high note was Chen....both he and Baek were going back and forth all song with the long and high notes. I look forward to your next reaction. It was so funny when you asked us to tell you what venue this is, and then Baekhyun screamed TOKYO DOOOOOME!. This is Tokyo Dome, the largest (50.000 seats) and most prestigious venue in Japan. EXO was the youngest KPop group to perform there (3 years and 7 months since debut) for two sold-out nights. It’s was a great achievement for them. Their little brothers, NCT127, performed there for two sold-out nights just last week, but it took them 5 years to do it.

I actually cried in this performance. I know it kinda sounds crazy but when you see your favorites giving this top-tier performance, it just takes you to cloud nine. If I cried watching this on youtube, how much more in their personal concert. And even I have seen this several times, it still gives me the same feeling, goosebumps every time.
Btw. I am baby EXO L. I regretted now that I did not stan this group in 2013. Now that my standards were met by these gentlemen, never gonna let go now. I may be a new fan, but my love for them is worth 10 years of them in the industry and counting!

This is EXO Planet #3 EXO'rdium in Tokyo Dome, Japan. The one who does solo dance break in Monster is Baekhyun, one of the main vocalists. Wolf in the concert is Remix Version, that's why it's slightly different and of course more epic. It's literally the high note battles of the main vocals. Honestly, Wolf is not my favorite EXO title track but Wolf Remix live is one of my all time favorite live performances...
