The reason why Baekhyun is sweating less than the other is because he has a thyroid issue. It's one of the only advantage of his illness. He doesn't speak about it a lot but this issue is supposed to give him severe fatigue and yet he always give his best ! He is so incredible

In this EXO performance, "Mama" is the first song you hear them perform in this set of songs during their almost 3-hour concert. Mama is a Korean term they use to address a leader or king or queen. It's a term of reverence and respect. It's similar to saying "Your majesty." If you watch very many historical Korean dramas you will hear the characters call the royal family, and especially the head of the royal family or leader, "Mama." So, in this song, they are speaking to the leader or deity who sent them to Earth, essentially asking, "Now that I'm here, Your Majesty what should I do? How do I fulfill what you have sent me to do?" etc.
The version of "Mama" they performed at this concert is a remixed version of the song. EXO never performs a song exactly the same way twice. Therefore, in concert you will always get a new experience, no matter how many times you may have heard a song or seen them perform.
Also, the audience wasn't just screaming. As you may know, what you heard is called fanchants, which are orchestrated things that fans say during specific moments in live performances. For example, during "Monster" what they were saying was "E X O Mon-st-er". It's the same thing fans will recite during that part of the song every time this song is performed.
Sometimes fanchants are designed by fandoms and they are distributed through the network of fandoms so that everyone learns them and knows what to do, and other times they are designed by the Kpop group's company and given to the fandoms to distribute and make sure everyone knows the chant. Almost every song that is a main track song that the group promotes with will have a specific fanchant that goes with it. So, not only will the audience be reciting specific lyrics at key movements during the performance, but sometimes during the dance break the fans will shout each of the members' names, etc. Even the moments when the fans scream or cheer are often done at specific times and for an exact length of time as part of the fanchant.
Fun fact: The majority of the choreography for "Monster" has to do with the EXO members using their powers. (They aren't dabbing because they like to dab, it's all part of the story they are telling in the dance.) If you haven't yet, check out their dance practice video for "Monster" to see the dance even better.
For example, D.O. has the power of super strength, so during his part in the song and choreography you will see that he waves his hands and the other members are pushed away from him or pulled toward him. When you see Suho in the middle of the group and they have a hold of his arms, he rotates his body around like swirling water because Suho has the power to control water. Xiumin has the power to control snow/ice/frost, so during one part of the choreography you will see that each of the members pause as if frozen as he moves in front of them. You see Kai slide backward and forward into the center of the group while waving his arms to represent him teleporting. And when Chanyeol jumps over Lay, Sehun and Xiumin, this could be him using his phoenix fire wings to fly, or it could be showing him leaping over flames because his power is the ability to control fire. Sehun has the power to control wind, so during his parts, you will see the other members shuffle around him as if they are creating a windstorm. And when they sit on the ground with their one knee in the air and rotate their bodies, it's supposed to represent a sundial -- EXO gets their power from the eclipse and their powers are affected by planetary and solar phenomenon, so the sundial is meant to represent the passing of time and their connection to the sun. (Even some of EXO's comebacks were released on days when we had a real eclipse or other planetary phenomenon, etc.)
The concert version of "Wolf" is the remix version, so only the beginning and end of this performance is what you will see and hear in their "Wolf" MV -- the middle part, where it slows down, is new, but the hype part at the beginning and end is exactly how the original song sounds. Often, the performance and choreography for their songs in concert is different than the original because they put a different twist on it every time they perform it.
The moving picture you see the EXO members create during "Wolf" is a tree and it's supposed to represent the Tree of Life. Which is a visual connection between the storyline in "Mama" and the story in "Wolf". As you will see in their "Wolf" MV, they create two separate trees (or one tree that is split in two) because the MV is when they still have 12 members. EXO-K (Korean) was one half of the tree and EXO-M (Mandarin Chinese) was the other half. However, as you saw in the concert performance, they don't split up into two separate trees anymore because now there are only 9 members. After the 3 Chinese members left, they now do everything together, so there is only one tree. This concert was in 2016 and Kris, Luhan and Tao left in 2014/2015.
In "Wolf" the members are supposed to be a wolf pack. So, the choreography and the song is about them acting like wolves.
The choreography was created to use movements that made them seem like wolves, and the moves, such as them showing their claws and bristling their backs and shaking are all things that wolves do as they compete for power and attention, etc. The wolf comes out of the forest (as he scratches the ground behind the Tree of Life) and he is stalking his prey. Their prey is the girl that, in the song, they are talking about being so obsessed with and in love with that they can't help but act like a wolf and capture her so that no one else can have her, etc.
In EXO's songs and MVs it is often thought that the girl that EXO sings about is a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life. So, that is why EXO becomes so enamored by her and so possessive and protective of her, etc. Protecting the heart of the Tree of Life -- or "the girl" -- is what EXO has been sent to Earth to do.
How I interpret the part where Kai Xs out the tree, is that EXO are searching for the Tree of Life and Kai has eliminated that tree from their search. It's not the tree they want, so they get rid of it. In the intro to their debut "Mama" MVs, which sets up EXO's whole storyline and explains the group's concept, the narrator talks about how the Tree of Life has been split in two and each half has been hidden away. It's EXO's job to find the two halves of the Tree of Life and reunite them to restore peace in the world. So, in their live performance, that is what they are doing. They are searching for the real Tree of Life.
The shadows that they dance with also could have something to do with their X-EXO clones, which was later introduced in their "Obsession" MV in 2019. If their shadows are X-EXO, this could explain why we see them fighting with, and eventually eliminating, their other selves. (And now it could also be connected to the silhouettes we see behind the lighted white wall in EXO's "Tempo" MV and SHINee's new "Hard" MV storyline.) Therefore, in this performance this could be a foreshadowing of events in their storyline that only begins to make sense as the story evolves and SM reveals more details in the future, etc. Which is why we say, if you want to really follow EXO's storyline, you have to pay attention to everything EXO does and you have to try and remember everything you have ever seen and heard from them. The story may not make sense at the moment, but it could be important in the future to help explain something else that is happening in EXO's storyline or even part of the larger SM Culture Universe storyline that involves all of SM Entertainment's groups and artists.
And, at the end, I don't necessarily think Kai is breathing heavily because he is tired. I actually think he is still in character. He has that brooding expression on his face and he is breathing heavily because he is acting like a wolf. Although I am sure the members are tired after those performances, you would be surprised how well they are able to recover. In reality, if you saw them interacting with the audience right after that performance you would probably be surprised at how they don't look or sound out of breath or tired. They have trained their whole career by doing cardio exercises while singing at the same time, in order to build endurance and stamina, so they are able to sing live while dancing this intently and not use up their energy.
And if you check out some of their dance practices, you will often see them wearing a lot of layers because it helps build endurance and it conditions their bodies to be able to dance on stage with their stage outfits and not be affected. Why it looks so effortless on stage and like they hardly even exert themselves sometimes, is because their body has become used to being dressed in layers while working hard and wearing heavy boots, etc. It's kind of like if you spend a lot of time in a sauna, after a while your body gets used to the heat and you can endure more heat for longer.
Just imagine, that was only one set from a more than 3-hour concert, where they performed more than 30 songs. So, if you think that performance was amazing, keep in mind, after this they only took about a 5-minute break to get ready for the next set of songs and change outfits, etc. You have only scratched the surface of what an EXO concert is like, just wait until you check out more performances from their concerts. This isn't even considered the hype set of the concert, just wait until you see how much energy they use during that set.
What Baekhyun screams in the middle of "Wolf " is "Tokyo Dome," which is where this EXO PLANET #3 - The EXO'rDIUM(dot) in Japan world tour concert is being held.

I was lucky to see 8 of them in 2018 in Music Bank in Berlin. EXO and Europe is like a miracle.😅 I can't believe I've witnessed them performing The Eve, Power, Ko ko bop. Chanyeol had solo performance playing guitar doing cover of Wind of change by Scorpions.❤ Precious memories I will never forget.❤

They debuted in 2012 with the song MAMA and got their first Daesang ( biggest award for Musical industry in South Korea) in 2013. They have been topping the charts ever since weather thats Group activity or Solo. Every EXO album since their first album XOXO has sold over a million copies. Their recent album EXIST had over 2M physical albums sold. They have been big from the very beginning. They are the first ever k-pop act to be appear on World's Tallest Building Burj Khalifa. They have alot of achievments but I'll stop here😄. If you have any question, Just ask!

Don’t forget, Wolf is 10 years old. At that point EXO were VERY good boys, living in a dorm under the watchful eye of their managers and SM Entertainment. I think there are words, turns of phrase, and ideas that just don’t translate well, in their more recent work as well. (Cream Soda says what it says but they’re still good boys today. Just grown up ones lol.
The original Wolf, song and mv, was a real fandom divider. You either loved it or you didn’t. But this is a remix, and I think pretty much everybody agrees it’s a gem of a performance. The dancing in front of the screen through the whole back-and-forth between Chen and Baekhyun and a lot of different sounds were added.
It really is an incredible song. It's not uncommon for songs to sound strange in a second language, especially if the concept is a bit abstract... but we were hooked by it nonetheless

@@alongfortheridereacts The lyrics to Wolf and Growl (which were released as kind of a pair) do sound strange in translation but even Koreans who heard Wolf thought it sounded a bit odd. And I know people who find the lyrics very uncomfortable which is totally understandable.
The storyline for both of those songs/MVs was really buying into the vampire/werewolf/Twilight themes around 2013. So it really is a character voice that is a supernatural being struggling between love and more violent internal instincts much like many werewolf or vampire romances that were big at the time (which at their core can be pretty creepy). I much prefer the remix here but even so it makes more sense in the context of the storyline at the time.

When Exo is called Emperor of K-pop, you know just how big they are. And most of their concert tickets plus even fan meeting tickets gets sold out within few minutes. Exo are kings of live performances. They're seen as Idol of idols. You'd actually find many kpop groups covering exo songs on different occasions.
Well did you notice in the end how Kai's shoe broke and he still gave his best performance? He's a genius.

I'm not a Brit, but I'm an experienced exol 😅 Kai came to London to be the headliner of a festival and I believe he performed for two days his solo songs (that are AMAZING and I think it's a must to react to at least his title tracks if the three solo albums and his Films that are the most unique thing in kpop and Kai was the first to introduce them in the industry). And also EXO came to Music Bank ( a performance for TV) in Germany years ago and they were shocked that so many people know them, love them and know their songs in Korean (if you ever react to this live stage... I swear you'd be touched by the amount of happy tears on European exols' faces). Thank you for the reaction!!! This stage is THE most iconic of them all, shows their full potential and immense amount of talent on one stage in one group. Each one is a legend, but all 9 of them together are unbeatable. I hope you'll react to Acoustic Medley, One and Only+Stronger (in white shirts, in blue shirts in Seoul Kai didn't perform 😢), and Coming Over+Run This+Power (there are more songs in the medley, it's their second iconic concert stage).
I was there last summer when Kai and Chen performed at Hallyupopfest 💕 it was my first time seeing any EXO member live and since then I’ve seen Lay in NYC and went to Seoul last April to see them at their EXO Clock fanmeet! I will always try to see them because they’re so insanely talented and they can take all my money 😂
Hopefully we will get some content from at least part of the group next year while Kai and Sehun are enlisted. Can’t wait until they’re all back and able to do whatever they want! Looking forward to Suho, Chaneyeol, and Baekhyun’s solo stuff coming soon-ish 💕

I saw Suho at a festival in London that same year, he was so good!! Couldn’t go to the hallyukpopfest unfortunately so I missed Kai and Chen.
I’ve also seen Baek and Kai with SuperM way back in 2019 like 2 weeks before the pandemic. Any time one of the comes to the uk I drop everything, I don’t care how much I have to pay
Right, it totally left my mind that Suho was there...last year? And I wasn't 100% sure that Chen was also there with Kai, but in Australia they were together for sure? Ah! I totally lost the track of time and all the festivals they went to separately, not as a group. And I totally skipped the SuperM in my mind. Thank you for reacting to EXO ❤❤😍😍😍 As a londoner I have had chance to see almost half of EXO- Kai and Baekhyun as part of SuperM; Kai and Chen for hallyupop last year in July and then Suho for Mik festival. Hopefully i will be able to see them altogether one time. BTW they sound and look amazing I was crying most of the time and couldn't stop shaking the first time I saw Baekhyun and Kai.

EXO is Alien. This music set alone is murder on the body and they sustain their vocals. The stamina, the vocal training (before and during SM), the discipline is astounding. They made me love a song I disliked, 'Wolf Remix' is exceptional. Those stable voices don't come easy, that's more than 10,000 hours. They remind me of Motown... sweat, dance moves, vocals sharp as hell. EXO is South Korea's best kept secret, Nations Pick. They are Legends in their own right who reinvented the industry. This is one of my favourite Exo live performances, can you believe Mama was their debut single and Wolf their first full album, they were way ahead of their time, kpop was not ready for them. EXO came to Mexico in 2017 with this tour, I was there, and believe me, it was AMAZING!!! The best experience, all the feelings when you listen to the songs live with their incredible vocals are impossible to describe. I was in the VIP section, very close to them, and I couldn't keep my eyes off of them. It will remain as one of the happiest days in my life. I'm so glad that you react to them and get to know how wonderful artist they are. I have been a fan since the very beginning. Since the day SM announced their new boy group back in 2011. I spent all my 20s being their fan, and I will still be here for as long as they are EXO and beyond ♡

Two members of Ateez holds KAI as their idol. One is San and another one (forgot his name). So if you ever see them dance or perform you can see a likeness of KAI in their movements. That's how KAI's influence is in the kpop industry.

EXO's concerts are unlike anything else you'll ever see. These guys put on a SHOW. It's like an amazing theatre production with insanely good songs and superb dancing. A feast for the eyes and ears. SM didn't skimp on the production here.

EXO are true legends. They are called the kings of vocals, and the media calls them the emperors of K-pop. EXO is the only group whose live performances are better than studio recordings, because they all sing live. EXO debuted in 2012 and already in 2013 they took the most important award (Album of the Year) desan at the most prestigious award in Asia - MAMA. And they won this award 5 years in a row, becoming the first K-pop group to achieve this, from 2013-2018 all the most important awards of the most prestigious awards in Korea were always won by EXO.❤️❤️❤️

Wolf is my era and the reason why I am into EXO and casual listener to some other Kpop. Wolf is just a recommended MV in YT before. I really found it weird and does not sound like Kpop at all but it's really addicting. Then I watched and listen Mama = here comes another sound that does not sound like Kpop but more like experimentation. So proud and happy as EXOtic and EXO-L 👉 saranghaja!!! Chogiwa !!!
Yes, Kai has influenced a lot of idols. I haven't watched any of Ateez's work so I don't know them but I know San coz I saw him covering Kai's solo dance choreo manyyyyy times. Got to know he's a huge fan of Kai. (Seong hwa as well) There was a clip of San being told by an idol (interviewer) that he reminds him of Kai and San was happy to hear that and admitted that Kai is his role model. He also auditioned using exo's song Overdose.
Him and Seong hwa did Kai's rover dance challenge with Kai, too. They seem like a great supporter of Kai and Exo to the point where I saw comments saying they promote Exo better than SM does which could actually be true lol part of the reason they are now leaving sm (D.O. just left sm entertainment btw)
Apart from Ateez, there are many of them from grps like nct, stray kids, seventeen, enhyphen, txt, sf9 who have Kai as their role model. Some even chose this career because they were inspired by him which is pleasantly surprising.
Kai really does seem very influential... and you can see why. He's amazing
Been saying this for years, I have been attending concerts by western, non- Korean, and Kpop artists including the current biggest names from pop, rap, rock, acoustic, ballad genres BUT nothing still beats EXO's vocal stability and stage presence. even if one is not a Kpop fan I really suggest to go to EXO's concert even just once .

Wolf is sort of the black sheep of Exo's discography, lol.. It really was a weird one in terms of its concept, lyrics and even choreo.. I actually like the song though, I might be one of the few that finds the howling part cool 😄

One of Kai's many nicknames is Idol of Idols. This is now sometimes given by other fans to popular members of their groups, but it was first given to Kai by the industry because in yearly votes within the industry, he was voted again and again as the idol most other idols look up to. In this performance, Kai's shoe broke, you can see the sole flapping in parts of Wolf, but it does not show at all in his performance. EXO is that level, they are influencers not followers and totally professional.
Wolf was out when the whole Twilight vampires and werewolves thing was hugely popular. They even did spoofs on Twilight called Beauty and the Beast where their two centres of the time (Kai for EXO-K and Luhan for EXO-M) took on main roles as werewolves / supernatural being caught up in gang fights. They are a bit tongue in cheek, but show how much they immerse into concepts and the actual stage performances that go with them are brilliant.
EXO's lives are legendary. Watching sets like this where they group songs together is the best way to see them. You will constantly hear about them being the Vocal Kings, but it is also the amazing level of performance. The energy is insane. The talent is so real, the love of performance is so real, they love performing.
As a UK EXO-L, they were here doing a couple of songs as part of SMTown in I think 2012. I didn't go and thought there would be another chance. Nope. Recently, we have had Kai, Chen and Suho as soloists in festivals and in 2019 Kai and Baekhyun performed here as part of SuperM, but no EXO concert. Trying to get any merch here needs a great deal of patience and some luck or a large bank balance. This is a huge part of why they are relatively unknown here despite being massive within the industry.
Idol of Idols seems like a very fitting nickname for Kai. It's a shame it's so hard to get EXO merch in the UK... let alone a concert at some point

it's actually a song that splits the fandom, ppl either love it bc of how weird it is or hate it bc of how weird it is, there's no in-between lmaoooo. i personally had to let it grow on me, and watching the live performance helped because the actual vocals on it are *ridiculously insane*. my niece, who introduced me to kpop, unironically loves it and when she told me that, I did the "a wolf, i'm a wolf, awooooo, i love you" bit and we busted a gut bonding over EXO's Wolf.
it was the follow-up to their debut MAMA, the song released before Growl (which cemented their superstar idol status) but yeah, Wolf coming out between MAMA and Growl, can you imagine? I don't know how I would have reacted as a fan, if I was one back then (I wasn't even into kpop in 2013, that didn't happen for another five years-), as one right now, i'm still getting used to it coming up on my random playlist xD

In 2019 or 2018 during EXO's year-end concert where they supposed to have 3day concert on a big venue with 30k capacity, but Fans ask for smaller venue so they can watch them closer, so they choose a venue with 15k capacity and have 6days concert instead.

Wolf lyrics tend to be a bit misunderstood. Is kind of a fairy tale the big bad wolf ( or werewolf) fell in love with the beauty so he feels weak. The pack of wolves tell him to just eat her so he will be strong again. At first he tries to go against his feelings but in the end he just go against the pack to protect her. The story continues in Growl.

*EXO is BIG!! EXO is one of the most biggest k-pop group in their generation. EXO mostly promote in China and S. Korea in their early career (2012-2014) tho they also started promoting in SEA countries but their MAIN MARKET is CHINA and S. KOREA that's why THEY'RE BARELY PROMOTE OUTSIDE ASIA*
*EXO isn't promoting internationally (especially in West... like some groups) THAT'S WHY also when KPOP become more international known in 2017 to 2018 EXO become more less and less active... promoting, getting comeback if back then they either had 2 to 3 comebacks 1 year and also had two to 3 weeks promotions but THE GROUP PROMOTION DRASTICALLY BECOME 1 WEEK and it's THEIR company’s fault. Another thing is when members started enlisting in military in 2019, 2 members keep enlisting at the same time each year. ONE MEMBER is currently serving and probably the youngest will soon enlist next year*

@@Niki91-HR Yeah, ikr but honestly sm is unfair for their other groups especially exo cuz most of their artists have western label especially from NCT to riize - which is their new boy group. I'm not surprise how their old groups have none since most of them are INACTIVE. It's unfair how SM treated EXO when they can go big as well in west in 2013/14 ALL the offers they take it down, the clean bandit wanted to collab with them in 2017 but they take it down, TH-cam DOCUMENTARY they also take it down the BILLBOARD (INTERVIEW) they also take it down and Coachella in 2017/18 (forgot the exact year but in between this) the company also take down the offers. A LOT of offers to the group have been miserably take down with their own company but now the company wants to their newer groups to have it but IG they didn't make it cuz YES their other groups have fanbases in west but not as strong as others groups NOTHING'S WRONG WITH THAT IT'S JUST SO HYPOCRITE OF THEM.

It's a really long story how they start, can't even describe how massive fandom they have and EXO-L'S is more knowing one of the hyped kpop fans not just in korea but around the world. and the only first ever kpop fan who can change their lights for light stick / eribong. ok lastly, I'll give you guys a hint about exol's "DONT TRUST THEM WHEN IT COMES ON TICKET" only this fan who've done the most fastest record to sold out in just 0.2sec which is world break record.

Especially if you are foreigner and do not leave in any of the countries in Asia where they usually tour. I have been an EXO-L for 6 years, and I have been saving like crazy, trying to figure out the best way to get tickets, still don´t get how to be part of signing events, and we still need to fight for tickets with other non EXO-Ls...it´s madness....but still, Forever EXO-L.
