    This is was best Backhand step by Step Tutorial I have ever seen..I have seen many Backhand Videos but first time someone has explained the
    --3 Type of Grips to use for Backhand to move the Shuttle straight or Cross court.
    ---The wave thing is absolutely right, because of that we get extra Power.

    Great explanation, Mads! A "wave" is exactly how a coach described it to me many years ago and it's absolutely the right image to have in your mind 🙂 I also had another coach who had us practise by whipping a towel instead of a racquet as it helps to feel that fluid movement!

      I actually made a video about using a towel in the backhand 😊💪

    all your advice is good, well-explained and demonstrated. here is the problem i have with backhand tutorials, which i know are in great demand. advanced players dont need them, and beginner and intermediate players should be moving explosively and efficiently to turn their bodies and take high shots into their non-dominant rear corners powerfully and early with their forehand. there is primarily one reason why beginners and intermediate players obsess over their backhand when dozens of other things in their game need attention and practice and are more essential to quality play, and that is they dont want to do the work of turning their bodies and using their forehand, just as they dont want to do the work of using their legs and fixing other problems with their game
    if you want to improve your play, stop being lazy and thinking about backhands, strings and rackets. get real and shift attention permanently to what matters most, and that is probably never gonna be your backhand. even if you have a great backhand high stroke, in doubles play you would use it approximately never and in singles only sparingly
    i'll tell you the one way you can get a decent backhand if you're really serious about it. learn to turn your body, and from a low stance and deeply preloaded legs move quickly enough to get all the way behind the shuttle even when it's deep into your non-dominant corner, use your forehand, and recover efficiently back to your base ready for whatever happens next. master that, and you'll probably find you already have a decent backhand and dont even know how or why

      Great points! I love them.
      The around the head footwork is preferred anytime - but sometimes you end up in situation where you have to use it. And yes, if it's bad you normally instant lose a point. Which makes perfect logic for people not to lose that point if they become better during backhand.
      Work on footwork before the shots , great point aswell and I totally agree for numerous reasons 👍😎

      I totally agree if you can improve your physical condition and learn the around the head movement it is worth it. Not everybody has the leg speed and back flexibility to do so unfortunately.
      I felt into a bad habit of using my average backhand for situations not needed it making me look lazy even on doubles.. it's the problem to not have proper coaching and do whatever is fun.

    • @rb-ex
      @rb-ex ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ari-athbadminton0301 listen to what you're saying, brother. first it's about physical limitations and then it's about not having proper coaching and it apparently being fun to play poorly. stop your whole line of mental excuses, get the laziness out of your heart, and do the work-- on and off the court. all problems solved

    Regarding the first point with the grip change that you hold it more at the narrow side. Isnt it possible to rotate the wrist slightly so that you dont have to change the grip? whats easier change the grip slightly or the wrist position?

    • @ShuttleLife
      @ShuttleLife  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question!
      Yes, you can use your wrist and possible bend it a bit more. However you will lack power and control. By the way, the wrist can't rotate, it can only bend. But the forearm rotates and that's why it feels like it's the wrist but it isn't.
      It's most easy to change the grip because then you just have to do exactly the same shot and the output will be different. Using the wrist you will have to do micro adjustments all the time 🙏
      Hope it makes sense

    Here's my question, Why do Danes are so good at sports with only 5 million people. I was in a small city struck a conversation with a Check out Cashier, And it turned out hes an injured trampolympic athlete, Who's a contender for national Olympic team. And this is the 2nd day I was in Denmark

    • @ShuttleLife
      @ShuttleLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question Max. We have a lot of support from the government (financially and priority) and a lot of volunteers 🙋‍♀️ 👍
      You can basically start to any sport anywhere and every place have a strategy for certain gifted athletes to go for their dreams.

    • @maxgluteus4263

      @@ShuttleLife thank you for answering, so the government have a system, that's good. I will also add the following few reasons, I suppose being Nordic, way of raising kids; consumer goods and labor are expensive and consumerism are not as bad as US, so less distraction; process food is not as prevalent as US, people not as obese and much healthier than US. So I think Denmark is a model country for the developed world.

    It's necessary to hit the shuttle in front of our body,isn't it.

    • @ShuttleLife
      @ShuttleLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      you can hit it in front of your body (towards the rear court) or at your side. You will just have to adjust your grip. The more in front of your body you hit it try to adjust the grip towards the cross court grip. The you can get it over even though it is a very defensive and late backhand.
