We all have that friend in the group who keeps track of triggers, life totals etc etc. Rachel seems to have taken that role here. Plus she's really likeable and knows her Commander. @@michaeldlynch Me too! I just got to play my first 4 player EDH game in 2 years. Was a blast! Crushed the first game with my Obeka deck... didn't rule 0 well enough. We're all out of practice haha. After I switched it up the 2nd and 3rd game were much closer. On a side note, would love to see an Obeka deck pop off here. Think mine is sitting around an 8 in power, better scale in my opinion is money put in, which is around 300-350. Nothing over 40 individually. I know for a fact it can be extremely broken if I doubled that price tag.

2:36 -- "Sunpetal Grove enters the battlefield tapped unless you control a Forest or a Plains", since he does NOT control a Forest or a Plains at the time he plays it, it should enter tapped. He then uses the mana ramp from the cheat to get an extra creature ("Speaker of the Heavens") into play since he keeps his Command Tower up when it should have been tapped for the land fetch ("Three Visits"). Tsk tsk tsk.
There was no winning for her. She went right before Joe and her other opponents had low life. If she went after Joe, Aetherflux. If she went after anyone else, she either A) killed them, which means Joe Aetherfluxes her. Or B) got them low enough that Joe could swing at them and kill them which means she still gets Aetherfluxed. The only Hail Mary play would be to actually do nothing at all and hope for another board rotation where another player does something to force Joe's hand with the Aetherflux, or potentially drawing into a miracle card like Deflecting Plam, because any action meant death to Aetherflux. If Krissie wasn't running Deflecting Palm, let this be a lesson. Solid card overall, but also makes for the most fun moments in commander.

The true mvp of this game was Krissie taking 2 Aether fluxes but also Lynch’s Dino wiping the clerics. If those were out, Joe would have enough life to hit that third flux.
I wanted to say that I'm really enjoying these games. Glad I found your channel (through Joe's play on Command Zone), and I really look forward to watching y'all play many more games over the years :) Now for some corrections... Mike, you forgot that Mirari's Wake gave +1/+1 to Gishath. You should have flipped another card in that attack against Rachel. Also Mike (and Rachel), Trostani Discordant doesn't give itself +1/+1. He should have been able to fight up to 2 more power without his Apex Altisaur dying. Joe, some of your life gain math was off. That's almost bound to happen when you've got so many triggers ;) I don't think it really mattered in the long run, though. Rachel, Muldrifter should have come back into play with a +1/+1 counter. I'm not throwing stones here. Games that I've played with my groups have always had mistakes. Doesn't detract from the fun. Thanks for putting forth the effort to record these games for us to watch :D

Joseph would have had the life to use aetherflux reservoir if he didn't forget some life gain triggers. 1 for Iroas etb as 11:00, 2 from trostoni solder etb as they were 2/2s at 13:10, one missed from angel at 13:30, 1 missed from mutineer/salamander at 16:10, and 4 dinosaurs entering at 24:27. Joseph lost with 44 life and the 9 life gain triggers missed would have pushed him above the 50 required to kill Rachel and win. Let this be a reminder to not forget your triggers. :)
@@michaeldlynch I checked to be sure but he does enter as a creature and immediate loses the type when it checks for devotion. As far as the dinos, only suture priest trigger was used, not the other cleric.

I just pulled 2 Orvars (1 fancy art) and built him with the spare cards in my humble collectection.
It's probably one of the more higher powered decks I have now 🤔

Doesn't that Sunpetal Grove enter tapped because at the time of it ETBing, Joe only controls a Command Tower (which if I'm not mistaken, is NOT a forest or plains)?
Everyone is commenting on how Joe misplayed with Sunpetal coming in untapped but did he miss making a free 4-4 Angel at 6:28 on the end step? He was at 48 and Speaker wasn’t tapped or summoning sick. What am I missing.
