Kaya talked shit about drinking in the beginning saying how he doesn’t drink after he said that there wasn’t an episode that went by where he wasn’t drunk (talking idk maybe episode 6-100ish) and while it was funny it made for some really awkward moments between guests. (Except for Pro ZD dude was drunk too and was the only guest to really connect with kaya)

1:04:01 on my first flight we hit one of those air pockets and fell a little, I nearly shattered the hard plastic arm rest and I went so tense so fast my shoulder smacked my smaller friend in the face and helped him pop his ears in the most unorthodox way. it didn't help that it was one of those smaller planes either, still makes me shiver to this day.

The fear of airplanes is like being scared when on a roller coaster. People rarely die ever on roller coasters so nothing is going to happen but it’s still scary because the situation is scary.
Rollercoaster tycoon would probably be a good videogame theme park

I find that most of the concerts/bands at concerts that I've gone to haven't been as preachy as described. The only exception I could think of is STARSET, and even then, it was one of the opening acts that were the preachy ones lol
The reason why Kaya and Charlie aren't afraid of cars is because of the amount of control you have. Yet the chances of a crash is way higher.

To go off of Charlie's and Kaya's plane rant, I've read that the fear mostly expands from the fact that everything is out of your control. If something goes wrong there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it. This tends to make people fear a certain factor more. So when the topic of car accidents brought up by Andrew, they got defensive because most people believe they could affect the accident directly and minimize whatever damages are done.
A reasonable person would believe it vice versa. I would be more relaxed knowing an expert could handle any and whatever plane defection could happen and way way more freaked out knowing that people think they can single handedly stop a car crash in a road where everyone follows the unwritten law of society
Dying in a plane crash is a much more terrifying and drawn out experience than instantly dying of a coconut. That’s why it’s a phobia instead of walking on a tropical beach
RBD Akimbo being trapped in a burning car is also a terrifying and drawn out experience, not to mention painful. You are more likely to die in that type of car accident than you are on a plane.
My understanding is that shipping stuff via sea is actually EXTREMELY cost-effective and I think pretty low impact, environmentally?
Ships don't take that much power to make work- buoyancy does most of the heavy lifting. Heavier-than-air flight, however, is burning TONS of energy to happen because it has to fight gravity.
Thanks to you 4 I hate my life a little bit less now. Listening to you argue about your fear of flying vs. your fear of cars and guns made me realize that I don't fear much of anything when it comes to fatalities; considering I'd be at peace if I suddenly died. It makes me happy to know that I have less fear of death than most people. I used to be afraid of everything when I was a kid. Now I'm turning 27 in 2 days and I'm only afraid of social interaction.
If you see this don't think I need your pity or think about how sad it must be. Just realize that you all have better lives, yet you are using them to make people like me feel better for an hour or two. Love you guys in the most heterosexual way possible.

Y’all don’t know how planes work. Planes use a ton of fuel, but if it is a commercial passenger plane, the gas mileage per person is better than cars. Those 2 crew mates I assume didn’t fly their own separate planes so emissions are not doubled. A private plane however is horrible because it is not enough people per plane for the mileage to be good enough. A solar boat does have better gas mileage though

Yes Andrew, cars are statistically more dangerous than planes, but a car isn’t hundreds of miles in the sky. You have a chance of surviving a car crash, you have almost no chance of surviving a plane crash.
