Kaya was very drunk, but that wasn't even a true statement, it was just Andrew trying to make him feel bad. Andrew could have at that point, instead of making it incredibly awkward, started actually contributing to the topic of the podcast instead of just sitting their silently like he did for the 20 minutes before he said that.

@@pl3459 it was the way Andrew said it, with the low "wow" at the end. Kaya was having a great time up until that point and tht comment stopped him dead in his tracks. It's very clear he became embarrassed at Andrew noticing that (which actually started about half an hour into the podcast, but that's not the point), and Andrew made no effort to disarm the statement or redirect the conversation to an actual discussion. I don't see how Andrew's not the Karen here to Kaya.

I don’t understand kayas gripe with the batmobile. You’ve seen throughout the movie that it was in pieces and still being built and he had to finally put it together for that part in the movie, so it’s very clearly going to not look like some futuristic high tech thing it’s just quickly slapped together because of necessity
He honestly had a bigger issue with the car than the people who are most likely dead from that chase scene
I think people are used to the Nolan films and the Arkham Knight Batmobile. Several Batmobiles throughout the years were just elongated cars with a bat theme to it.
Poor Kaya was jetlagged af in this video, he wasn't thinking straight at all. Just look at him for the final minute or so of the video.
I think he just was so passionate about it because he had drank a bottle of jet lag before lol.

I agree with Andrew about Batman and his detective skills. So many previous Batman movies focus solely on the fact that Batman can beat your ass, but ignore how intelligent Batman actually is.

Watching the older podcast episodes and coming to... Whatever this is, is kinda sad. Charlie is silent, kaya rants about stuff he has no idea about, and the ads are almost half the episode. Don't see this podcast going for more than another year or 2 with all 4 members

Kaya singlehandedly reviews a scene from a movie so horribly and so inaccurately that someone who read the synopsis on Wikipedia and IMDB without actually seeing the movie could review it better. Probably the most scuffed shit I've heard on the podcast in a LONG while, like holy shit. Listening to this segment made me physically cringe harder than I did 6 years ago when I went to watch the first Suicide Squad movie when it released in theaters.
48:14 Batman is in his 2nd year, he's not going to have a fucking billion-dollar tank in his early years. You can see that this is the very first iteration of his Batmobile because they are still putting it together earlier in the film.

Guys the whole point about Batman disregarding the deaths of innocents during that car chase scene is because he learns at the end of the film. He learns to become Hope and to stop focusing his Batman persona only on villains

@@shrimpmanchild5805 in all fairness, this could be Batman’s first “High-Speed Chase”. The same way we see him fumbling to nail landings and react to enemy swarming. I doubt we see a Batman so reckless and low-tech’ed in sequels.
Don't know of it's the editing or what, but Batman never caused the car crash, penguin did (not that starting a chase in a crowded freeway is wise since he could easily put a tracker on penguin's car).
Batman actually gave a more lethal attacks to stop him AFTER penguin caused the crash
@@Carlos_Tacos thank you. There’s a single frame of Batman screaming in reaction to penguin instigating the crash the next frame is the exhaust engine shooting the blue flame. He should have arrested penguin for that and it’s weird he doesn’t acknowledge that penguin does murder people on the highway but the way the podcast goes about discussing it is a little obtuse.
So everyone just gunna ignore the fact that Kaya was straight laughing and saying "thank god" and "thank you for your sacrifice" to the wife's, husband's and children that died on a plane ride. Then Jackson the one that thought it was the best idea to bring it up first thing then going off pointing fingers to a suicide was the reason all these people died without knowing a single thing about a planes mechanical functions? I was a painter at FlightCraft and have been around my fair share of planes, now no I wasn't in the engineering department but I can tell you there is alot that can and does go wrong with planes while flying and while there is always the chance it could lead to a flight failure it rarely does and the public especially a Google warrior is not gunna be on the list of people to notify. Rip to the families that lost their love ones is that flight and sorry for the ignorance some of us continue to show towards out of country disasters...

I watched this because as someone who doesn't really know Halo, I wanted to know if the show would be good. But I was quickly reminded why I don't watch these podcasts.

Flightcraft? Like KF? Small world.. my father is the (soon retiring) head of NDT here lol. I have to say.. I expected way more comments about the "thanks for dying" comment than the batman.. even I thought that was beyond fucked up.
Since it's only Batman's 2nd Year it does make sense for him to not have a super crazy high-tech Batmobile, and not killing people has always been a rule of his.
Penguin causing all that mayhem on the bridge, and Batman not really being phased by all the death.
I'm glad it was 3 hours, because it makes it way more worth the money, and I don't care how long it is as long as it's good all the way through.
Robert Patenson was a fantastic Batman.
His Bruce Wayne wasn't great, but no matter who played him, he was supposed to be more on the moody/depressed side, so it didn't really bother me(as long as the writing makes him more like his comic/past live action counterparts).
They've confirmed that the Joker scene was just to say that he exist in the world, but he's not being set-up to be in the sequel.
The director even said that he wants to do Mr. Freeze so when the sequel eventually happens he'll probably be the main villain(or at least secondary).
There are theories going around that Bane might be introduced as well because of the green adrenaline Batman uses and there is a story where Batman creates the serium and Bane steals it so there is a possibility for a new take on Bane which would be exciting to see

A movie can have great acting, cinematography, music and plot and Kaya is only gonna talk about two scenes that mildly didn't make sense at certain points just to diss it cause it's a mainstream thing people like. I would just like to say that the character of Bruce/batman considers Batman to be his true self and Bruce is the mask.
Yes! The JLA comic story Divided We Fall showed this amazingly along with some great dynamics of the other characters. Basically something splits the heroes from their secret identites. Batman is a rich well equipped well trained man but with no passion for fighting while Bruce is an angry moody guy that flips out in rage over minor criminals because Bruce was the man who suffered the tragedy of losing his parents and Batman was his way to seek justice for it.
It's a really well done story, not just for Batman, but for all the characters.
I mean yeah we get it. This is brought up any time the words bat and man are said in the same sentence. Superman is still better and Batman visited Epstein island over 20 times.

Speaking on villains they haven’t used yet, I would like a horror-esque Batman movie with Professor Pig, because a mentally unstable man who loves classical music and turning people into “art” or whatever, should definitely warrant a movie and Batman being the detective in those murders.
Also, Mr. Freeze deserves to have another live action to redeem what we got in Batman & Robin. As much as that movie sucked, at least they kept his motives for why he does the things he does.
But Scarecrow definitely deserves a round two, this time, as the main focus and not just a backdrop character that goes bye to make room for the major villain. Still sore it won’t be Cillian Murphy again ‘cause y’know, it’s been years and yada yada. But, he deserves a round two, too.
I think a Ventriloquist movie in the same vein of The Joker movie would be incredible.

In some orientations (going up) the plane's own wings block air from reaching the control surfaces. The system they talked about is supposed to prevent this by pitching the plane down to regain control or even prevent the loss of control.
The system sometimes malfunctioned because of a broken sensor thus causing the plane to start nose diving.

That Kaya comment about statistics at around 2:30 made me facepalm. He says that the plane crash calmed him down cause it’s ‘statistically unlikely’ for 2 planes to crash on the same day. But that literally makes no sense, because at that point 1 plane had crashed already.

Since he just got back home, he's probably still used to that, so he's just still in party mode, I imagine. I've definitely been there. Combine that with the jet lag...
Still, they have frequently made jokes throughout the show about Kaya being an alcoholic. I imagine Charlie and Andrew gave him some shit for this, so maybe this episode will cause him to slow down anyway, and that could be a good thing for him.

I like to think about it in terms of something like a hobby, if you had just gotten into something, year 1, you're getting the hang of it, and by year 2, you're going to start developing skills in whatever you are doing, and are most likely going to start learning more and more about whatever hobby you're doing, and also likely to get fully invested into the hobby.
I know that for myself, when I got into my own hobby and was at like at around year 2 of what I was into, I was *super* invested into the hobby, that I didn't really talk or think about anything else.
So if anything, it makes total sense that Bruce would be fully invested into the Batman persona, and isn't taking much care and thought into the Bruce side of things.
7:30 The door to the cockpit had a code, but the copilot overrode the keypad from the cockpit. Also, this is Batman in year 2. He still has only basic tech, not to mention that the Batmobile was always a car until Christoper Nolan came along and made it a tank.
So I’m not a huge Halo guy in terms of lore, so I understand them breaking a lot of rules makes it controversial. However I found myself enjoying it mildly. I mostly played 3, odst, reach and 4. Played mostly multiplayer though I did finish the story too. Definitely my biggest gripe was him taking off his helmet but in a way I enjoyed the show. It wasnt great or even good, but it definitely captured something that made me think “yeah, I’ll watch the next episode next week”. I hope they’re telling a story that’s good, something that makes the break from canon mean something. I’d give it like 5/10. Not good but not horrendous. Just kinda fine
I mean.. they shifted the entire time line 30 years because they made Mk 6 armor which was introduced in 2552. Which apparently despite being sealed against hard vacuum and having life support.... he passes out from lack of oxygen right next to the 02 control for the whole ship.
For my case, I've never played Halo in my life (I did know the game) so I'd probably enjoy it and give it maybe an 8/10.
Though, if I played Halo for years, I'd probably hate it and give it a 3 or 4/10.

It's not like every past Batman movie had him killing people left an right(besides Tim Burton's first Batman movie, which is why people think Batman murders everyone), he doesn't even kill people in his games(he kicks their asses, but he leaves them alive), so I don't know why people were expecting.
