Okay so to clear up a lot of the misconception that Kaya has, the transformers community is NOTHING like the the brony community. If anything the only thing that's come out recently even associated with MLP was an IDW comic book series. Which people only like because who would've guessed a crossover of MLP and transformers. A majority of us don't like our robots sexualized such as the windblade example that Charlie found. People immdiately talked down on that figure, however it's still being sold just not promoted. Andrew kind of hit the nail on the head as to why people still love this franchise and that's because a lot of us grew up with this series and decided to stick with it. Whether it be from the 80's or early 2000's cartoons we stuck with cause we genuinely love the characters and the stories told. And because we love these characters we want to collect them and have them in person, however Kaya isn't wrong when he says some of them are overpriced pieces of plastic but that's only because 3rd party figures charge so much for them, up to 500 dollars. Still for me personally it's nice to get the 20$ ones you find at target or walmart and look at the detailing for those. But not only that a lot of people like to make their own custom parts, paint them up, give them more detailing, etc. However of course there are those that want to fuck the robots but and the toxic one's but that comes with every nerd culture. The majority of us just want to collect them, customize them, watch whatever media is out there, and draw fan art of it.
Kaya is also right about how some bronies have converted into transformers community. Yes you're right a majority of you guys just like the characters and like to collect the models or comic books but there is literally large communities sexualizing these characters it is never safe for me to look up transformers fan art in public because so much of it isn't just cool art it's disgusting pairings. I have a friend that ended up in the transformers community and they have gotten into so many cringey discord roleplay servers that exist just for these people to rp fuck each other as robots. They think that is the regular community because that's all they've run into.

Megatron lead the decepticons as rebels to try and conquer cybertron, aiming for galactic domination. cybertron is decimated and along the way the transformers somehow find their way to earth. Autobots now protect the Earth from the Decepticons, who depending on the series, want to conquer, destroy, or drain the Earth of all natural resources. Optimus Prime is also there leading the Autobots, and dies a lot, because jajsjfjfjfkgogk

I can see where some people might be a little too excessive, but when (just about) every movie he makes is straight heat, that tends to happen.
They're all chameleons. Whenever the majority of people don't like something or think it's "okay" or "fine", they think that automatically makes it a piece of shit and garbage and they only dwell on the negatives. Whenever the majority of people think a movie is an incredible masterpiece they automatically think everything about those movies were great. I'm pretty sure all of them except for Jackson hate the Star Wars movies just to spite Jackson. They never name anything they liked in movies they think are "garbage". Sometimes I can't help but think they haven't even seen half the movies they call garbage just because they heard it was bad or average. Charlie and Andrew are the worst offenders of when it comes to what I just wrote. It's like they don't quite understand that with some movies, you just have to turn your brain off and not think about it too hard and to not dwell on the parts of movies that weren't too strong. Don't get me wrong, I love the podcast and everyone on it, but when it comes to movies, it just drives me nuts when they just shit on something and dwell on the negatives of movies and completely ignore the strong points.
