Nice review and tones , I have one of these and its super ! Play live with it all the time , usually go direct to the mixing board , occasionally I will run a stereo out to the return of a backline and use it as a cabinet . If you want to use with your amp the 4 cable method is fine too. Cheers!
I'm looking for a new rig for my current project. We're all going direct with no backline. Never heard of this brand until today and I'm really impressed. Also saw the iPod sized rig which is also cool but I like this type of pedal approach. I've used the POD XT Live and Fractal Audio Axe FX MKII and loved both of them. I want some up to date for my current project a Styx Tribute band!
Thanks for the review, excellent job. How many signal chains does it have and can you route separate signals (processed separately or differently like with different cabs) to the Left and Right channels?
Great pedalboard but I wish the LCD display was bigger or atleast if the icons were a bit more distinct. It looks like you're working on DOS/command prompt.
Are the Switches instant? Or do they only engage as you lift your foot? I have a back up black truck and that’s annoying. Split second difference is a pain., my Rig is a GP 100 and FC 200 controller, but I fed up of carrying a rack box and a rack box and midi pedal,
Does it have an Exciter effect ? An Exciter is the highly versatile effect which I note virtually all the expensive processors on the market fail to include. I am referring to the Guyatone PS-021 Guitar Exciter & Compressor of 1986. Nady also marketed it under license at that time. But since the GE-300 can model/record external effects, you should check out the PS-021 and program it into the GE-300. With that, you can step on a preset with the Exciter, placed after the Distortion, when you solo, getting the volume boost and sound enhancement at the same time. The PS-021 enhances your even harmonics, getting a valve amp sound. No other effect to this day can do that.
@@insideaudio7164 if using it at home, can it be plugged in straight into a set of powered speakers? Like the one's in home stereo systems or pc speakers? With RCA Jack's
Great overview! Quick question...I have my Peavey 6505+ head that I still want to use its distortion...I know I can do the 4 cable method, but that's disables the amp+cab modeling. Do you know how to plug the Ge300 in a tube head so I could use both the amp modeling and the 6505+ distortion? Thanks!
Benjamin Girard well, the distortion comes from the preamp of your peavy normally, so just plug straight in on the gain channel, but it will probably sound muddy to have an amp and cab sim at the same time. What you want is to split it so full sim goes to a PA and just send the fx through the amp. Good luck!
Quikdeth Thanks! Yeah the more I read about it, the more I’m thinking of having one rig with my tube head and using the GE300 for its effects and another one with a solid state poweramp like the Seymour Duncan Powerstage to use use modeling, depending on what situation I’m in. I’m getting older so bringing a big tube amp at every show can be a hustle sometimes haha

Great video, but i would like to know what treatments you have made to have such sound. Mine does not sound like this at all and is much more... plastic
Hi, Can this device play directly into a (active or passive) frfr speaker? Am considering the headrush prime, but this one seems pretty decent as well? And for half the price?
Hi and thanks for this interesting video. I'm thinking of buying one. I just need to know if it is possible to save and store the loops you have created to re-use them when you turn on the pedal next time. But I cannot find the info on the internet ...
how exactly do you use in a situation like reamping. Can i have the option of not only recording the sounds but also record the DI sound. i have yet to find a video that shows the many ways of recording and/or reamping with the device.
Have you had the chance to compare it to the GE 300 Lite? Is the software basically the same? Also any idea of how it is compared to a PodGo? I am considering the GE 300 Lite but I am still in dout considering there is the PodGo around.
I'm not aware of this feature currently, but you could do so with a DI signal box and route the signal out to the GE300 and audio interface at the same time!
Thank you so much for the video! I have a question and would much appreciate a reply: When changing patches from a clean to a higher gain or distortion patch, is there a sudden volume spike? I have the Ge 250 and I love the pedal but this is the only - but very serious - problem I have with it. It makes transitioning patches smoothly in a live situation very tricky, you have to mute your strings to avoid the sudden ‘clunk’ sound when changing to a high gain patch :-/
Hi Lucas ... Ive been using the GE200 live for a while now and had the same problem ... A couple of things that will help is set the delay trails to "ON" so they keep playing when you change sounds (its in the system settings ... can't remember exactly what its called but its quite obvious when you go in there) ... I think this will solve 80% of your problem. The second is to put a simple eq pedal into a patch and adjust the volume there so it is the same as the previous patch ..... That way you don't have to mess around with the amp settings etc. Hope this helps!
@@wrap-itsolutions2387 thanks so much for the help! I also realised that the patches change not while pressing down on the switch, but when lifting your foot after pressing down. You don’t know about a workaround for this problem? Thanks again for the valuable information!

Another you tuber demonstrated that the dsp resources get used up very fast even on simple patches. Since you own one, have you experienced this?

what pinkfloyd effects it has? whats the title if there is? thanks
Hi, I have a question, can you record directly from the multieffects to the computer? or do you necessarily need the audio interface?

Hi, can you change the patch numbers into text?
Can you run a 4x12 cabinet on stage if you want from a power amp like the Seymour Duncan 200?
Yes, the manual explains it well. You will turn off the internal cab for that preset or set it globally
Hi! Correct me if I am wrong. Ge300 features a 30 min looper instead of 30s
Yes mentioned that wrong, thanks for correcting!
i use boss katana 50w....no fx loop...how can i use the pre amp on my mooer ge 250?
Can you assign more on/off functions to one CTRL knob?
I wish it had the drum tracks as in 200 and 250.
But thanks.

can i make youtube videos with this one? is there an audio interface in it

I'm afraid I haven't had any time with these other units.
Does it have drums beside the guitar loop? I mean can you play them simultaneously ( if it have drums) and make a solo over it? Thanks
On the more extreme stuff, like the synth engine, is there a latency that you feel?
barely noticeable, only tracking with polyphony but still subtle!
you said 30 second looper, it's actually 30 minutes ;)
What sort of warranty do they come with? Waiting for a Sale price to grab one someday. Thanks for the video.
can u share to me #2 heavy rock tab.. im just new, returning to play after 25yrs.. tnx tnx

great video thanks. Hey can you split the dry signal out and record a wet and dry bascially?
I'm not aware of this feature currently, but you could do so with a DI signal box and route the signal out to the GE300 and audio interface at the same time!
Yes you can record one usb channel dry and the other processed
Is it built in Drums beat
Can you use double delays on this?
Like a dotted 8 followed by a quarter note
Yes, you could setup two different delays in parallel or series!
No parallel effects possible. One effect of the same kind. If you want more complex rigs you need to look for a different device.
Nice video. Loop 30 mins. :) How did you turned off that red annoying tap tempo?

what a big downer is the fact they forgot to built the drumcomputer in...if they had this I would have bougjht it
