@@midnightoceandunes I have sold it and moved to the S22 but till the end I really enjoyed the wheel. Super nimble and rides like a dream. The new models are also fine tuned with a few upgrades. Not massive range but a great wheel.
@@Andre-Mostert Its 2024 and still loving this video, come back to to it once in a blue moon, gives me a wonderful sense of freedom. One day i will get myself a electric unicyle. Epic video my friend. 🙂
Andre, nice video dude like the part alone the canals edge , was worried loosing you wheel in the water 💧!! But you smashed it....looks a good trail.. We have a rive down our way but it's tidal so when low it open up loads .... keep up the video s 🤟🤘🤙
Many thanks for the comment. Its so much fun when the canal path is dry as its super smooth and if you go early there are not too many people. Good fun indeed.
Many thanks Bob, yes the trails when its not wet next to the canal is super smooth and fun to ride. I think the top speed for that ride as just over 27mph. You cannot really go any faster as stopping for people around a corner becomes a problem. I only open the taps when the coast is clear. But man this S18 eats it all up. Thanks for watching and the comment.
But is it awesome going uphill? I've been thinking about my next wheel and the S18 is a prime candidate: I'm 200 pounds naked, so maybe 210~ 215 totally geared-up. I'm wondering if it has enough power/headroom. Any thoughts?
Hi Dale, the wheel is rated for a max load of 130kg (280lbs). I think most of the big wheels are rated around that weight mark. I think this wheel should not have much trouble with your rider weight. The shock system should also not have any problems supporting the weight as its a MTB shock that can replace or upgraded if you need too. You will need to ask yourself what you going to use the wheel for. Are you a new rider or a seasoned rider? If you are a seasoned rider what terrain you like riding? If you a new rider then any of the big wheels are spot on the learn on. I only suggest lighter riders look at a lighter wheel when they start out as it can be a bit of a hand full when learning and getting use to the wheel. Also the top speed of the wheel is 31mph but you always want to have a bit of a buffer...meaning that you ride around 27-28mph on a full battery and then 22mph when the battery gets low as it will tilt you back. The range that I found is around 30miles as good speed but then again it all depends on how you ride it. Let me know your thoughts its an awesome sport to get into.
Both very awesome options. Even the EX if you want the suspension. But both those wheels are much heavier. EX 38kg, Sherman 36kg, S18 26kg. But then again if the weight is no issue they oh yes look at the other big hitter. Thanks for the comment V4V.
Love this video

Hey Andre,
Jeez! You were doing the blitzkrieg bombing run on that canal path. What was your speed there? Excellent trail riding and videography!

If i was around this weight i would go for the Sherman, or the EXN.
