- What's new is not the only way to have fun! Sometimes its good to go back and enjoy a classic, a sure bet. This version of Napoli came out in 2021 and was a favorite of mine then. I'm so happy it popped in my mind to come back here, and in the brilliant Alfa GTA! A car which was not around when they raced here, but one which suits the circuit so well. Bellissimo!

Firstly I'd like to thank Jake for featuring my track again in this splendid video. Thanks Jake! It's an honour and I'm thrilled that it has left an impression!
Regarding the kind comments in the video - thanks a lot! And yes I am working on Pescara 1957 - at 25ish km it has been a lot of work (2 years to the day since Napoli), but it should be finished in the coming months rather than years. Beyond that the next circuits on my list are the full Livorno Montenero circuit, and the Napoli-esque Grand Prix of San Remo (Ospedaletti) - with views of the beautiful Ligurian coastline.

Dude, I just got back from Italy and this track jumps out to me. The umbrella pines and orange trees on the street. Very nice touches.

I'm originally from Napoli and it's impressive how this track is accurate and detailed (I can recognize some buildings that are still there at the present day). I also enjoying going back to it every now and then, not only for the personal connection and for the quality of the mod but also for the layout itself: it's tight but has a very nice flow for a street circuit.

I just wish we could get a track that’s not so perfectly smooth in the future!
I really like bumps and ruts on older tracks that you feel in you wheel.

This Mediterranean landscape is so amazing that it catches your eyes which are supposed to be focused on the road 😂

I absolutely LOVE the uphill section. This track is epic, you never get a moments rest. 10/10. I think he's working on a new track currently 👍
For anyone who might not know, there is a mod in development for AC called RARE. It adds F1 rules like drs, tire changing, pit stops, etc. Eventually the developer plans on adding safety cars, and rolling starts, there's also work being done to improve the ai racing. I've been using it since last july I think and its been great. The ai are actually fighting and staying clean as well(on certain tracks/cars..obv) and the drs rules are great to have work.
I personally cannot wait for this mod to be complete because nothing feels like assetto corsa, like everyone I love this game and im happy the ai racing is being worked on by our passionate community. Try it for yourself if you haven't, but many of you surely have done already. You can even kind of use it for other racing like nascar or gt cars but its a little finicky.

I watched three of these little Alfas battling it out at the Goodwood Revival last year, and they were fantastic. One of my dream cars.
A few of them invariable show up at a vintage car race I work in Pittsburgh, and they're always entertaining to see. When they don't break and catch fire, any way...
One of my favourite cars of all time , you can be brutal with the throttle and use it’s gears to control the corner , don’t be scared to use the engines high compression, fabulous little racer .

Great video! I love this track, the best thing I've bought for AC and AMS. The Giulia TZ one of my favourite mods for AC, it's one of the first cars I used to race online for the first time

That start reminds me of my early days playing forza 6 in middle school. Slow-ish cars going around twisty tracks, trying SO hard to overtake one another. FM7's "homologation" or whatever it was irritated the living daylights out of me. I don't want to turn my medium-slow sportscar into a monster, being medium-slow is what makes it fun.

Hobby? I just spent £800 on a graphics card for AMS2 and AC. You call that a hobby, I call it a serious problem.
Well consider it this way, some folks call real racing their ‘hobby’ and $800 might get you… two tires? 😛
@@GPLaps For 800 smackaroonies I’d say you’d get at least 2 scuffs that have a slit on the side so they can’t be used again. Another 1200 you can get a bent wheel to slap it on

Another awesome video. It’s crazy how many race categories and tracks there are for Assetto Corsa. Just when you think you have everything you need you find another mod track or car. I always like how educational your videos are.
Loving how the cars fit so perfectly together with this city circuit. I get the same feeling racing the 1991 DTM mod on the Nordschleife or GTPC protos at LeMans in RF2. I would really recommend you take a look at those two for future content.

Really good video, love the old Alfas in AC especially the Tipo 33 Stradale. That’s sorted out what I’m doing this weekend.

You're gonna have to get yourself over to Goodwood one of these days. The 'Festival of Speed' would be fun, but for you i think the 'Goodwood Revival' would be more up your alley.

... I wrote this at 6:00 (because I was scared when I saw them, at this point) and at 6:30, the Mercedes touches the kurb and it's the big accident !

One benefit of sim-racing is that those crashes are just temporary! That Mercedes would not have been a pretty one to see.

@@italotracks2277 aaargh, yeah, I get the reasoning behind prioritising Pescara, haha, it's probably a bit better known and all. I've just been scoping out Livorno after trying (and failing) to make it myself, and it seems like it'd be an insane period track to take 30's - 50's cars around. I hope you'll get there one day, keep up the fantastic tracks.

Please make a similar video on the Nürburgring Südschleife, that track is also perfect for this type of racing. Maybe drive a German Porsche 912 then, seems appropriate.

How do you compare the Alfa Romeo GTA from Kunos with the GTAM mod? The GTAM has more hp
How often do the AI bin it like the Merc and the Alfa did?

Considering (a version of) the circuit was used as late as 1962 or '63, the mismatch with the time period of these cars you're using here really isn't that bad.
The aggression of the AI could perhaps be dialed back a tad.
I know AC isn't a crash simulator but I wish it had more realistic damage for when things go wrong.
AC 2 next year hopefully that’ll be better
