This was filmed during our 14-night cruise to Norway, Iceland and Ireland.
In this episode we are at our first port of call, Olden. We visit the Loen Skylift before taking the land train around Olden. The sail in to Olden is spectacular, so we really hope you like this video.

About Us
We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini break on P&O Aurora. We like making videos of our cruises, they may not be to everyone’s tastes but they are our way of remembering the great times we’ve had, so please keep this in mind - we are not professionals and the complete video is shot and edited on an iPhone. We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails). Make sure follow us on social media, the links are below.

It’s beautiful isn’t it? Olden is our favourite and the tractor train and the Sky lift are accessible and both depart from just next to where the ship berths.

Magnificent scenery! You were so fortunate to have lovely weather. The Loen Skylift reminds me of Mt. Roberts Tramway in Juneau, Alaska & the fjords reminded me of Misty Fjords in Ketchikan!! Thanks so much for sharing!!

Great video as always guys. We're off to the Fjords on the Queen Victoria next May, so it was great to get some info on Olden. The Loen Skylift looks a good trip.

We were booked on a mini cruise to Amsterdam on Ventura however after she had propulsion problems Pando cancelled our cruise. So now we are boarding Britannia on Valentines Day in Barbados. Mandy and I will have a few drinkies for you guys in Brodies !!!!! ( Mandy thinks Luke is so funny when he's pissed !!!!!! )

The Fjords are absolutely breathtaking, you’re right that these photos and videos probably do not do it justice. I’ve never been; however, it looks somewhat like cruising the inside passage of Alaska would be like. Everything is so green and lush and the water has that bluish color. This is probably my favorite vlog of yours so far. Thanks for sharing it. Cheers mates!

Guys very good , the scenery is WOW factor stuff , Loved the Sky lift , Scenery is magical, i can well believe you when you say to be there and see does it justice . Question did you book the tickets for Loen Skylift on the internet or on the ship . You both make the video so chilled and humorous, with your commentary and your chats after dinner, are just so funny and so natural , just how we chat along , very natural . We have made our minds up that the norwegian fjords are on our to do list very likely 2021 . Thanks guys so looking forward to the next video .

P&O were selling the tickets, £65 I think, which was cheaper than buying direct at the tourist centre and included the shuttle. We didn’t want to buy too far ahead as if the weather was bad we wouldn’t have been able to see much 😊

Yes the Loen sky-lift is an awesome experience! We’re off on P&O Aurora for a mini cruise this Monday and then hopefully we’re off to the fjords again but this time on Sky Princess in June! 🤞🏻🤞🏻❤️⚓️

We are stopping here next July on a princess cruise. What company did you book this pickup and skychair ride through please. Looks amazing
Have a great time! P&O were selling the Loen Skylift Tickets on a DIY basis. At the dock there was a tourist information centre, and the bus meets you there every 20 minutes. You could also buy tickets there directly but they were about £5-£10 more as P&O had a special price and guaranteed they were cheaper.
I’ve booked to go on this cruise next year. Do you have to book the extras separately like the sky lift or do you just dock and pay there?
Oh fab! The skylift has lots of availability so you can book that once you arrive 👍 last time we went we went to briskal glacier with Olden adventure, that we did pre book (video out in a couple of weeks). You can always find things to do in port or just walk around, but some popular excursions may sell out, like Rib rides, segways and kayaking etc 😀

Hi, wonderful video! Question, for the Skylift and land train, will they accept credit or debit cards or do I need to exchange for some nok? Thanks! 😊
Hi. We paid for the Skylift on the ship, so that was £’s. The land train was by card payment on the quayside . Cards are very widely accepted in Norway - we didn’t change any paper money (same went for Iceland too), so don’t worry about that. We use a Monzo card, it’s great for overseas use as you don’t pay any fees. Hope that’s useful? :)

Hiya another brilliant video, I really value your opinion having cruised on so many P and O ships. I have booked a cruise on Oceana how would you rate her, seeing as she is billed as the fun ship of the P and O fleet Joanne

We really liked Oceana, she’s a great little ship. We found the staff very friendly and the food in the MDR and specialty very good. Being ex princess, she does look slightly different to p&o but the atrium is lovely. On our 7 night med cruise it wasn’t as lively as ships such as Britannia but there was always something going on. Our favourite bar was Explorers bar, once that closed we would head to the pub which was always lively!
