In this episode we spend the day at sea, travelling between Iceland and Ireland and have our evening meal in the Select Dining venue Ocean Grill by Marco Pierre White.

P&O has a history of over 180 years, the oldest cruise line in the world. Now owned by Carnival corporation, P&O UK is distinctly different to its sister brand P&O Australia.

About Us
We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini break on P&O Aurora. We like making videos of our cruises, they may not be to everyone’s tastes but they are our way of remembering the great times we’ve had, so please keep this in mind - we are not professionals and the complete video is shot and edited on an iPhone. We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. That chocolate buffet looked amazing. It brought me back to my first cruise in 2000 on RCCL. They used to do an extravagant midnight chocolate buffet with carved chocolate and ice sculptures. Pitty they don't still offer this.
Glad to see that you opt for the stairs instead of the lift. It helps keep the calories from sticking. 😊
Hahaha! Yes taking the stairs sort of helps us maintain our figure 😂 that and pre & post cruise diets! 🙄 wow! Would love to experience a midnight chocolate buffet! Why did RCI stop them? Such a shame!
@@CruiseMonkeys they were magnificent. On the last sea day, they lined 2 decks in the atrium with tables. There were multiple chocolate sculptures (6 or 7). That day they would do ice sculpture carving demonstrations and showcase them there. They even had breads baked in various shapes. Around the sculptures were various forms of chocolate desserts. Cakes, cookies, candies even different flavors of mousse. I don't know the reason. It had been a while since I had cruised. When I restarted, they were gone. I was told, "they're a thing of the past". My guess is cost reduction.

What?!? You passed up chocolate because you were drinking! That’s it, I can’t watch anymore, haha. With all your day drinking I’m surprised you made it to dinner. Although, with how amazing the food looked at Ocean Grill I would’ve crawled there, I love the steakhouse restaurants on cruise ships. Unfortunately they are the reason I gain several pounds a cruise. I’ll have to be like y’all and start going to the gym in the morning, if I’m not too hungover. Cheers 🥂🥂🥂
That’s the problem, we intend to go to the gym every morning, well certainly on sea days anyway - but it all depends how hungover we are😂 ocean grill was delicious! 😋 apologies for passing the chocolate I think we’d really pushed the limits of our drinks package that day it might have curdled! 🤢😂

When we cruise together you will have to introduce us to some interesting cocktails to try. We usually just stick to the same stuff 🙂.

Just got back from Arcadia and I couldn't help but chuckle when sitting in the Crow's Nest imaging you working your way through the cocktail menu 🤣. The chocolate buffet wasn't as lavish as yours though, with no chocolate fountain 👎.
Mr H wow! No fountain??? Perhaps they broke it? That’s a shame! If we’d have been onboard we would have certainly bumped into u at the crows nest for sure😂 how was the cruise? It’s gone so fast!
Gavin & Luke - Holidays at Sea cruise was great, but two rough sea days going down and on the way back 🤢. Weather was pretty good too. Service in the Meridian Restaurant was amazing and the food was great as well.
OMG The food! The drink! We go cruising a lot but couldn't put all that away. I bet you didn't sleep much that night re Acid!😩
Putting it away isn’t too much of a problem, it’s trying to shift it when back on dry land 😂
