A different style of video this week to save the nation from falling asleep with continuous boredom, lol. Seriously, printing, painting and fitting parts would have been quite dull.
I run through what Ive achieved this week and explore the next section, which does have more dramatic landform changes ahead and maybe undoing something complete for a partial remake. Take a look. Have fun!

If I could describe this built it's magnificent and magnifying too. Your skillful craftmanship, willingness to do the difficult and problem solving make Piccadilly a joy to watch. With channels like yours, model railway hobby is not dead in USA, UK or the rest of the world. Utube has allowed this old bloke in California to view this hobby in diffirent counties. Bill
Ahhh thank you, I’m so glad you like it.
The hobby is far from dying. We might have lost Hattons, a large UK retailer and the Warley show, other shows are packed with many thousands in attendance, new shops are opening, new manufactures along with many amazing TH-camrs and… brilliant people like yourself who engage with the hobby and watch our videos.

Ahhhhh thank you, so glad you like it. Never afraid to chop and change if need be. I’d end up hating areas of the layout, just can’t see the point of that.
excellent update, your skill and attention to detail is rather commendable Piccadilly Model Railway sir👍 your approach to model making is in my opinion absolutely wonderful, your are not scared of changing things to get the result your happy with, and you demonstrate this perfectly showing anything can be changed anytime, a song by a Scottish band called orange juice(1983) springs to mind for some reason😊, 👍👍👍
Thank you, and yes absolutely, sometimes we make, create or build something and find it does not meet the requirements. We could live with it, but that results in dissappointment and ultimately dissinterest. It doesnt take long to change. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Thanks Peter, glad you like it. This video seems like an age ago now, as the new path is in the river has been modified and work on the courtyard has started, hope to complete this area this week. Time will tell lol

Thanks Stephen, I’m currently making the alterations I mentioned in the video, I’ll show those hopefully next week. Still loads to add yet.

Thank you, the walkway will be modified, already printed the parts, just need to assemble and fit. All will be well.

Fantastic skills John. Enjoying seeing the mill and surrounds develop. I’m like you, would really bug me if it wasn’t exactly what I wanted so best to grab the bull by the horns as you usually do and get it right at this point rather than coming back when it’s all done and it being a much bigger job! Lol. Amazing! It will look brilliant when all complete and in place.

Thank you Ian, yes so much lil teeny weeny detail, but I believe it is important in making a convincing scene. Michael from Chandwell was talking about creating several layers with his shop fronts. Even a paper's thickness can make all the difference.

Thanks James, it’s getting closer to being complete but still a fair way to go. I’m currently modifying the river bank and the millennium walk as I mentioned in the video.
@piccadillymodelrailways definitely looking forward to seeing it completed. I think my grandson will be starting his 009 layout soon. So, I'm looking forward to seeing how he progresses with that, and he also enjoys watching videos like yours.....cheers James 🙂👍
Very interesting John. The detail your are going into to build this and its immediate area will be repaid in the end but my its giving you some work in the meantime. It's rather surprising that you have too much room in that corner. I suspect the demolition team is going to be having at the walkway just from the tone of your voice! Stephen
Lol, you are so right, the mound is already removed and currently remodelling the walkway.

On the water effects, why don’t you try out Golden GAC 500 on this project. It’s not a pour, just an acrylic, can simply be painted on, in several layers. Is very strong, very dust friendly, and allows for such a shallow brook depiction excellently. Cheerio
Hi Vincent, thank you. The terrace/stage will be 3d printed along with those trolley seats, havent thought about either yet. Im in the process of modifying the river section and having to replace the millenium walk as it broke when I cut it, oh well, but the new one is well under way.
Ive already got the resin, Im going to use craft resin as it has excellent reviews, it can be dyed, its odourless and loses any bubbles easily. Ill apply it later in the year, as it requires a much higher temperature than we currently have.
Very good John you may just get away using part of the walkway if you do change it, I'm sure with your skill you can. I use clear sealant to seal the ends of my rivers so I'm sure it'll work if cut the corner out for the wall. I think the river bend will look better as well. I can see the parasol poles.....👨🏫 naughty corner 😂 only joking cheers Andy
Cheeky boy! Thank you for your lovely comments. Sadly the walkway disintergrated when I touched it, so I had to make the tough decision to completely replace it. Im really hoping the nylon wire/ fishing line will stick to the walkway posts. Trying to think how to hold the railing in place whilst gluing. Thinking about paper clips, not sure, time will tell.
I would make a wall and green foliage the bit you talked about pushing down, it looks great, one thing, the front door looks like a window, I would maybe change the colour or something.
Hi, thank you. Im copying pretty much what I see, they are dark green doors on the large courtyard area. I have used some artistic license, but I do want the building to be recognisable if not 100% accurate.
@piccadillymodelrailways what I'm was talking about was the other side, to the right of the gangway, I'm thinking it is a window, but it looks like there should be a door there, Lol.
Hi John - this build just gets better and better ! Reducing the embankment was certainly the right move and I'd agree the walkway probably needs to have rather less severe bend - bit like ironing a bend out on layout ! This build is certainly going to be a focal point on your layout. Cheers Euan

That's a brilliant update - loads of very fine detail - may I ask where you got the rails from? The cafe area looks brilliant, and to put a gate that small in is commendable John.

Hey Piccadilly! Just watching some of your vids whilst working on my layout. I can ask you something, I've just finished laying all my track and tested it. all is good! What would you say my next steps should be? Ballasting? getting my first green layer down? Cheers!
Hi, personally I’d run the track for a while with all stock in all directions you wish. You could start on scenery. I’d start on the scenery focal point/ the main focus of the layout.
