Remote start is built into the Mercedes app… digital review mirror… I don’t think German manufacturers are featuring that option… and it does come with adaptive headlights as standard
Good review but I'll continue to lean towards Cadillac Escalade IQ. I expected more options to be standard equipment. The past models of these have given my friends that owned them, headaches with all of the problems and recalls.

I just got a 2022 gls450 for my wife for $60k, almost 40k difference from the new one and she loves it that she wont allow food inside and shoes must be clean to get in there. I'll give her 2mos and see if its still the same rules.

You mention no front fog lights. But you did not mention that Mercedes is one of the few manufacturers that keep an important safety feature required in Europe and other markets but NOT required in the USA. And that is the rear fog light. A great safety feature when operating your vehicle in poor weather conditions such as thick fog, rain, and snow with limited visibility.

Thanks! There are a lot of variables at play. If I am remembering correctly, that model had larger wheels with different tires which could be the cause of the discrepancy.
I was upset by the pricing on audio it just doesn't scream like I though it would. cost too much for it to suck like that even Alpine in Jeeps gets loud and sounds good
Hey bud. So the “fake leather” they use is actually the best in the whole car industry. Its called MBTEX and in the GLS trims it is far superior than the real leather in terms of durability. It will look brand new in 20 years and customers like that. I have it in my benz.
Some people don't like leather do to environmental or humanitarian reasons. Cows droppings produce a large amount of greenhouse gases. I am just repeating what others say, as I am not giving up beef myself.

Why is the head rest pushing your head so much to the front? How is it possible to sit comfortably in the second row? I am worried that my kids and wife will not want to have neck pain. So I can’t consider this car to purchase and wouldn’t recommend to anyone with family.

You forgot to mention that you can adjust the passenger seat from the driver's seat controls. That manufacturer leather option is nice especially with the color-match steering wheel. Crazy how much this costs and it doesn't have ventilated or massage seats in the rear like the new QX80..

The remote start is on their app. The headlights are an adjusting. They don’t move side to side but they are adaptive with cornering.
I specked a GLE 450 for 88k and 89K, May as well get this for 100K

Finally adding stitched leather on the steering wheel airbag cover but for 12k is ridiculous. They are so mid it’s ridiculous
too bad finding one on a lot with the rear spoiler is like striking gold

I have driven escalade, x7 and GLS but i will always choose escalade. It is different and better in every way except for the fuel economy
Wrong :) but in a positive way:) fuel economy is better as well in the Escalade. Just gotta go diesel.
